These people are amazing and do great work for the money, and they took care of my transmission when nobody else would touch it!

I love this place. As a woman, it is hard to be taken seriously and treated fairly when you know something is wrong with your car. If I could give this review no stars, I would. I was unfortunate enough to get a tow from this company through AAA. At about 6:30 in the morning I broke down on my way to work. The tow truck driver showed up at about 7:20. No problem there, I understand how time works. I get out of my car to greet the driver, and he doesn't even look at me. Whatever, no big deal. He proceeds to get my car onto the flatbed and motioned for me to get in the cab. This is where things get iffy. I get in with all my stuff, go to put my seatbelt on, and lo and behold, there's nothing for me to buckle in to. I brush it off. He puts the location in the gps and we get going. We drive down Bay St. which as anyone in Taunton knows it can be a dangerous road. While going through all the S turns by the water, the driver is on his phone the whole time. He swerved over the yellow line at least twice. I kindly asked him if he needed to be on the phone right now. He tells me yes, he needs to in order to do dispatch work. I even pointed out that he was driving and he literally told me "I could just drop your car off right here and you could walk"!! I couldn't believe he said that to me. In hindsight I should have just let him. But regardless we proceed to our destination. He tells me to get out, takes my car off the truck, and leaves. Doesn't say a word to me. I've never been treated so poorly, not to mention actually threatened, by anyone that's getting paid to do a service. I would not recommend this company to anyone, even in an emergent situation. Shame on you and your drivers. read more

Ed is amazing. My husband's Cadillac engine seized and Ed took amazing care of us. It was a huge job but Ed was very fair with pricing. Whenever we go back for general maintenance, we get the VIP treatment. We will never go anywhere else ever again and will continue to be vocal about how well we've been treated at Leonard's! I can't see anyone giving these guys anything less then 5 stars. Probably the best experience I've ever had with any business owner and his employees. From picking up my sons car, to the quick diagnosis of the vehicle. We didn't eat good news however the helpful information and assistance made up for it all. Amazing company and staff! I called them in a bind because AAA won't tow lowered cars and never notified me. Called them up they had an extremely confident driver who said he'd get it no problem. My brother (a new driver) was broken down on the side of the highway and needed a tow and my mother called this place and she was shaken up because it was in a dangerous section and so the guy kept telling her to "calm down" and all he kept asking for was her credit card number before even asking where she was or sending anyone out to help her. She ended up finding help and got the car started and told him that it wasn't necessary and the tow wouldn't be needed because other assistance arrived before they did. He then yells out "hold on don't leave yet she's all set" (assuming it's the person coming to tow him). He then tells my mother that he is going to process a fee of $50, because "I have to charge half of the towing fee for commission for my tow driver." At this point, we are bewildered, the tow driver did not even leave the building, why does he need a commission fee? The next day, my mother sees a payment processed for $100, to which my mother immediately called her credit card company to dispute as fraudulent. He calls her that same day asking her for her three digit code on the back of her credit card because "I need to process the payment". He starts cussing her out trying to explain the commission BS again and tries telling my mother, "ma'am, let me put it this way. Say you order an Uber ride. If you call the Uber, and then cancel, you still have to pay for it. That is how our commission works here." Hey buddy, I am a former Uber and Lyft driver, that isn't how it fucking works. I could drive 500 miles out of my way to go pick somebody up. They have five minutes after I mark that I have arrived to get outside and get in my car and for me to start the ride. If I drive 500 miles to go pick them up, and they aren't out there in five minutes, I have the ability to cancel the ride and collect a payment. Do you know what that payment is? Five dollars. That's it. F I V E dollars. You do not pay for the entire ride if you cancel. You get paid five dollars after you get there and if they do not enter the car within five minutes of the driver's arrival. Don't try to take advantage of my mother, my family, or anyone else ever again. Period. And don't ever try explaining bullshit to anyone ever again because chances are, there is someone out there smarter than you that can see right through it. Taking advantage of someone all for $50-$100. Slimy and pathetic. Here's a tip to anyone reading: AAA is $54/year for basic and it's a one time payment every year. Do yourself a massive favor and avoid this scumbag at all costs. Take your one star even though that one star is not deserved. read more

There I was driving along 495 ready for the big holiday weekend when BAM! Car stops working and I have to pull over to the side road! Leonard's hooked me up big time and towed me to the shop and helped me get to where I needed to go. Weekend saved! By 10 AM Monday they had the problem sorted out and my car back to me by the afternoon! Impeccable service, skilled professionals and an ecstatic customer! There has been times that I really needed to go to Leonards, because it was close to home. And there have been times that they fixed everything perfectly, but I always wondered about the prices. Pictures this; young female, not from around here and an accent. I was pretty sure I was taken advantage of. So this time when I dropped off my car for brake trouble and radiator issues, I was curious what they would come up with. Maybe they would treat me better because I did return. No such luck, after 4 hours of looking at my car, they gave an estimate of 1500-1600. I yelped. Literally. That was way more then what I had in mind after some research. They noticed my hesitation. According to Leonards I had hoses to replace, but they couldn't find the right ones. They were willing to take them off and take them to a shop to compare. And they wouldn't bother me with the brakes yet. The estimate for this "great" gesture; $600. Hmm, I might be a female and not from around, but I'm pretty sure that this is getting ridiculous. So my great gesture? Stop working on my car right now, I will pick it up. Found another place, a bit further away, but it saved me $800 dollars! And I did get everything fixed. Side note; the repair man I went to let me know that I didn't need HoseS. I just needed one. I also didn't need rotors that Leonards included in their estimate. i went to this place. what a rip off. guy left a spark plug tester in my spark plugs did half the job on fuel pump and charged for an exhaust they didnt even fix. beware also refuses to give receipt for work done.. beware when going here. check backgroung of owner before you go. read more

Leonard's Auto refuses to honor the $14.95 oil changes advertised on their website. Also advertise free tow if vehicle is brought there for repair, again another excuse was given and charged $75. Car was in the shop for less than 90 minutes yet was charged 2 hours labor and at $90/hr, the owner said pay up. WTF........??? Repair at the dealership was less of a gouge in the wallet plus the dealership repair comes with a warranty. read more

My 98 Ford Explorer lost its brakes. Called Leonard's towing they came right away asked where to tow it. They informed me that they can bring it to the shop and it can be fixed right away. There was a rotted brake line was told it could be replaced for $100 but recommended other brake lines that were showing age to them for $300. I said okay it took about 4 hours and I was very satisfied with the work and the employees were great too. read more

I went and had my brakes and wheel bearings done , they were quick and fast with no problems. I was satisfied with the service.

Initially told that they would be much cheaper and better than the Toyota dealer. Quoted $140 to change out the battery and then charged $230. I didn't argue - just felt like it was a lesson learned for me. read more
