    Sliced brisket sandwich

The best tasting BBQ in Manor in my opinion. Fast and friendly service with a large variety of food. This truck and La Sabroza next door are the dynamic duo.

    Best burger in Manor!

My husband and I have passed through Manor a couple of times and seen the D Chuck Wagon. We decided a few days ago that we needed to try it and finally stopped in today. Boy were we pleased!! The Double Cheeseburger was AMAZING. It was cooked once we had ordered - so as fresh as could be! Not to mention, the service was very friendly and the owners chatted with us while we waited the few minutes for it to be finished. We'll for sure be back!

They were grilled? The patties were packed with flavor and juicy. It surpassed my expectations and I'll come back and get this one again! Honestly, I haven't had a really good burger in Manor and so glad that it's down the street. Highly recommend if you want an authentic-home made vibes burger.

We're so glad we gave it a try! Buns on the Run ATX is among 3-4 other food trucks at its location--it might not be preferable to eat outside with this heat, but know that this spot does have a covered seating area with a good amount of benches to sit in and enjoy your meal. We were greeted by a very nice woman inside who took our order. I went basic this time around and ordered a Cheeseburger with a side of fries. The seasoning on both was perfect and the patty was SOOOO soft and juicy. The buns used were airy and soft as well. Ugh. It was just delicious, I regretted not getting the double patty. Not sure what their sauce includes and I don't want to guess and be super wrong, but it did contribute to the overall taste of the burger. The fries had a seasoning that also gave them great flavor, they were right in the perfect middle between crisp and soft, which I personally like! Skip the fast food and make your way here and enjoy something local and fresh!! Definitely will be back!!

On our first trip I was so amazed with the food I forgot to post a review. I had oxtails, yams, and mac & cheese. Oxtails were on a bed of rice with a very tasty gravy. Yams were on point. The Mac & cheese was good, however black pepper taste forward. Portions were big so I was able to have the oxtail for lunch the following day. Today I went with fried chicken wings, yams, and red beans. Another great dinner! If you're out in Manor stop by and chat with Fred Nunn. He's hilarious and a wonderful soul food chef,

If you can, order early and ahead. The man will take his time preparing your order and you will not say a word, until your order is ready. When he calls you to the window, every sense should begin to tingle because your about to devour a unique plate of food. I decided on the chicken strips and fries. Sounds pretty simple, right? Yeah, except for one thing... these chicken strips are PERFECT! The crunch of the breading, the moist "tender" white chicken meat melt into the perfectly spiced crust and there you will sit wondering, how? How? How does he do it??? Well there's no use pondering that question. It doesn't matter after you take another bite. Nothing. Not even the great fries.

I was still off keto from my vacation, so I was able to try the unhealthful things I'd been wanting to try. I immediately knew I had to get the club sandwich, but I was a little split on which side to get. I was leaning towards onion rings, which the server confirmed as a top pick. My sandwich was just ok. The bread was barely toasted, Since I rarely eat bread, and get it as a treat, disappointing bread can really affect a meal. The fillings were as expected. The onion rings were perfectly light and crispy. I decided to take advantage of the chance to try their desserts too, and so I went with the top recommended coconut cake. It was pretty forgettable. My husband's omelet was as hoped, and they let him sub his carby sides for avocado. We'll still come back, but when I come back on keto, I'll know I'm not missing much on the rest of the menu.

Now it's been many years since I've been home but it's a craving that is always there and hard to fill. Cafe 290 does just that! Great home cooked meals, typical Diner sized portions (very large) and breakfast at any time of the day! Let's be honest, it's never the wrong time for breakfast! It feels like you are sitting in your home kitchen, the staff are very nice, and the atmosphere is typical Texas Diner, and there is nothing wrong with that! Few pictures, and good ole classic cheeseburger! 1lb of meat... good luck, taste great but sheesh, it's hefty, the quesadilla is 10/10 with chicken, idk why it just bangs every time! And the very classic egg omelette! Get the diced potatoes, it's all divine! LASTLY and probably most important! THEY HAVE HOMEMADE CAKE AND PIE by the slice. It's expensive, listen to me here, it's worth the price, massive slices and fresh every day and THEY ARE INCREDIBLE!

Menu wasn't too impressive, so I stuck to my norm, chicken quesadilla. Was whole, but plate had total of eight slices, wasn't nothing extra but regular tomatoes chopped, and light lettuce togo with a sour cream pack. Sauces came as well, one red and green. My thoughts of this place for the first time...authentic style great, but sorry not sorry, I've had bigger quesadillas from a food truck than that. Meat was bare minimum inside. Shredded chicken small amount with cheese small amount. I'm use to thicker quesadillas than that for a 20.00 dollars or more price, hmmmm. Some food trucks have this place beat for a lower price, like 10.00 dollars less on quesadillas. And the vegetables are inside fully ready to eat. Wouldn't come back here, rather a food truck for a quick bite but better deal.

Here is their reply; "Tawakkul (تَوَكُّل) is an Arabic Islamic concept that translates to "trust in Allah" or "reliance on Allah". It involves doing everything within your power to achieve a goal (taking actionable steps) and then placing your complete trust in the Divine Plan for the outcome." "...By practicing tawakkul, individuals surrender their worries and fears about the future. It brings inner peace, as a person acknowledges their human limitations and accepts that whatever outcome happens is ultimately part of a greater, Divine wisdom." What an incredible understanding of letting go and letting god/a higher power take care of you and releasing those stresses of your life. Coming here not to get religion, but ordering really good food and believe that you are being taken care of. This man serving you is just thankful to share his generosity. I have enjoyed just showing up and being served his epic dish. When you arrive it's a cute park like setting clean picnic tables and benches while you wait for food. There are a reasonable amount of parking spaces so you don't have to worry where to park. You can stay and eat or takeout. It's really at your discretion. Either way you'll be back.
