He started giving me a high and tight right away. I had to stop him. He continued to cut my hair and did a solid job from what I thought... until I got in the car and looked up close in the mirror. The left said of my fade was totally uneven from my right side. The skin was about 2" difference, not even close. I went back in and pointed out how it was uneven. The lady, not the guy, fixed it. I told her it was my first time here and she didn't even offer for a free haircut or my tip back or anything. She should have made it right because it was bad. When I washed my hair to style it the next day it was all sorts of different lengths...I would rather go to a super cuts I won't be back. If you do go request the lady.

I'm not very good at communicating what I'm looking for, but he both understood and did some additional things that were a big improvement. He asked if I wanted my beard lined up in a way that was easier for me to manage between trims and used a paper template to ensure he got both sides evenly. He wasn't super talkative, and I'm not either, so that was a good match! Or maybe he's chatty with clients who are chatty and just follows their lead, but either way, it was comfortable for me. The lighting is bright enough that I kept my eyes closed for a portion of the experience, and the music was a little loud for me, but it was a solid playlist. The chair was comfortable and things were impressively clean. I was there kind of early on that Sunday and so I didn't see a ton of other customers, but the few I saw seemed happy with their experience. It is good to find a shop that does a good job with beards that isn't also trying to be a whisky bar, a gentlemen's lounge, a sports bar, or a spa. Should have taken a few before and after photos to share--maybe next time! I waited a few weeks to write this to see how my beard would grow in and now, about 15 days later, it looks great and not in need of immediate maintenance. I'll definitely be back

They said he wasn't there to take a seat and he would be here soon. 9:15 no Show, 9:30 no show, 9:45 now show, and finally at 9:55 he strolls in and doesn't come and get me from the waiting area. He put on his smock and stood around like he didn't show up almost an hour late. I walked up and said I'm your 9:00 appointment. He mumbles a quaint "my bad!" I show him what I want and he gets me out in 30 minutes. I missed the whole 1st half of my sons game and he was not a happy camper. The only reason I chose to stay is that I had my 20 year Hs reunion in NJ and my Christmas Photoshoot that afternoon. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place and that made me feel very uncomfortable and unappreciated as a new customer. I definitely paid for the reservation, but I wasn't willing to haggle. I was already livid and late. Next time you make an appointment be on time. The haircut was decent maybe a 7.5 out of 10, but time is money and the customer service was definitely lacking.

The minute the individual opened the door to walk in, he was yelled at by one of the barbers who said "you can't bring that dog in here". the individual reiterated that the dog was a service animal (which was overwhelmingly obvious) and the barber, once again, just said he could not bring the dog inside. this is COMPLETELY inappropriate, not to mention illegal, discriminatory, and embarrassing. It was so upsetting to me. Service animals are allowed in all public establishments in the state of maryland, and refusal of admittance into a business with a service animal is against the law and inhumane. so incredibly disgusting.

I was Brian's guest (not customer) and it felt like it. Brian focuses his attention on your grooming, conversation, and nothing else. His approach is methodical without being mechanical. You can tell he thought out every detail of your cut, asks the right questions, and engages you in light, meaningful conversation that helps you connect, which is important between a man and his stylist. Your hair cut looks great, after the highly anticipated flourish to every haircut with an essential oil (can't tell all the details - you have to try it for yourself - it's amazing). You leave feeling like someone took the time to provide you more than a hair cut - DC Homme gives you an experience, which is worth the $35 - $40.
