Being my first class, Kacie made sure to be inclusive and walked through all parts of the machine as it was designed slightly differently from other reformers. The studio was clean and equipment was well maintained. The industrial vibes of the interior design works well to invoke energy upon entering the room, while the smooth flowing music in the background calms the mind. It was overall a great class, and I would definitely return again. Pro tip: Parking can be a bit limited as the studio is in a prime location near downtown. I suggest arriving in the time gap between classes so that you can wait for a spot just as the last class prepares to leave.

I was really disappointed to see this studio open in my hometown (by the same owners) after having a terrible encounter at their original location in Houston. I honestly still feel triggered by the experience I had at Method several years ago, and think about it literally every time I enter a studio, particularly a new one - hoping to never feel that kind of shame (story below if you are interested) in a space where I usually feel so safe and grounded. Please be wary of their practices, especially to my other brown girls! There are so many other kind, warm, and welcoming studios in the Austin area owned by women. Urban Lagree, ATX Pilates, homebody, trufusion, and many many others are so much better to support. ________ I posted on Google Reviews about my experience and the harm it caused, and The studio owner tried to harass me about this review by calling my personal cell multiple times (they seemed to have kept it from the many years ago I was there which is a huge violation of privacy), via my socials (I did post comments there too, to share my experience) and sending me a fairly threatening DM (screenshotted below) - I have blocked them on all accounts. Instead of apologizing for the horrible experience, somehow turned it back on me as if it was my fault I was treated that way. Even though the current staff member doesn't work there, they still stood behind her when the comments were made, and would likely do so again if given the chance. They also seem to be flooding the comment/review section with family + friend reviews, so just please be cautious, Austin friends.

Issue number one was when I booked it I was told I would get a confirmation text about my visit. Nothing! I checked my email. Nothing! So I still show up. She said be there 5-10 mins early I get that at 5:22 am. The whole gym is closed and no one there. I wait a bit because I used to work at a gym and I know sometimes people can be late. Guess what?! A white car pulls up. I'm like cool another student. Nope! Some white man who looked like he just got out of bed and gets out of his car. Does he greet me? Does he say he give me a moment let me get the gym set up? Nope! Just looks pissed off he's up super early and looks miserable and looks like he just rolled out of bed. Honestly I waited another 4-5 mins seeing if he would kind of get out of hiding. Nope just never saw him again. Saw the gym lights on. Didn't even see him unlock the door. Went missing for quite sometime. So I just left. This was supposed to be my first class visit and it completely was not what I was expecting. I'm pretty active already.
