Pablo Silva is one the GREATEST coaches one can ask for. This facility offers world champion level…read moretraining with several decorated jiu jitsu practioners. From ages 3+ to 75, this place is welcome to all levels and will elevate the way you train and compete.

This review is for the kids program…read more My 6 year old son has been TRAINING here 3 times a week (for a year) and has loved every moment. I want to emphasize the TRAINING aspect vs. simply playing around with other kids and doing exercises for a class with 10 minutes at the end of real stuff as is the case with most extracurriculars for kids this age. This is not the "Rex Kwon Do" style studio that I have seen elsewhere that is geared for young kids. There is no background music. There are no songs or rehearsed oaths. Pablo does not wear a motivational speaker headset with mic. This is honest to goodness BJJ training with some games thrown in for good measure. At Pablo Silva BJJ each age/skill level follows a somewhat standard methodology. You can see this in the Saturday classes where a broad range of ages come together and do warm up exercises/drills as a cohesive unit. This helps build rapport in the school and an overall sense of family. Additionally, Pablo's name isn't just on the building, he is personally involved with the training of the classes and instruction. We have been blown away by the professionalism, the cleanliness of the facility, and quality of training/care that is taken with each child. I feel safe, my son feels safe. It is a nice change of pace to see the kids challenged at an individual level and feel a true sense of pride and accomplishment when they do well because they truly earned it. This has helped my son with his interpersonal skills, increased his confidence, and helped with body control/motor skills. He is genuinely getting a workout in each class, which is not something I can say for any of the other sports we have tried or are currently doing (i.e. baseball/soccer). In summary, the time we spend here is not wasted. We never discuss skipping a session because we don't feel like going. It is a place we want to be and enjoy going to. As a parent, nothing else has come close to feeling as "worth it," especially when you get to see the real sense of pride in your child's face when they know THEY have applied what they have learned and beaten their opponent. It's the epitome of a 1 on 1 sport, and there are up days and down days, but such is life and I'll take that variability over the alternative.

Self-confidence, physical fitness, patience, discipline, respect for others, self-defense,…read moreemotional stability... your kid will get all of this and more. Girls excel at this sport and actually out-perform boys until they are at least 10 years old. Start them at 6, and maybe add some muy thai or boxing etc at 9 or 10 too. Do not try to coach. Do not offer advice. Support without opinions, and maybe try it out yourself. Sit back and watch the magic happen... it will. Don't care if it actually helps in a self defense situation? Want your kid to be a pretend martial arts master? Become a "black belt" after 5 or 6 years? If that is the goal, you can get your kid into karate or tae kwon do or kung fu or whatever... Just make sure they don't try to use it in a fight with someone who can actually fight. And do not expect them to get the same lessons in humility and respect that they will learn first hand in bjj. Ravlin has it all.

I chose Reign because of the incredible attention to detail and the number of skilled coaches on the mats every day, guiding and helping the kids during every roll. I was quickly impressed by how much effort Professor Moon puts into the school, creating an environment where the kids not only train harder than I've ever seen but also form strong friendships. The sense of community is amazing--parents are supportive, and we travel as a team to competitions, cheering each other on throughout the tournaments. My son loves coming to class every day, not just for the competitive training but also for the fun events and seasonal celebrations organized by Professor Moon. I was so inspired by the school's atmosphere that I joined the adult class myself. The passion that the professors and coaches have for jiu-jitsu and teaching is evident in every session. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure we learn and improve. Being part of Reign Jiu Jitsu has been a rewarding experience for both my son and me!

He's a very shy boy, who doesn't like confrontation. Even though I kept encouraging him to stand up for himself, nothing has been working. After he was bitten by two different kids at school in the same week, I started to do some research on what I should do. I came across Reign in my mom's Facebook group and saw they had incredible reviews. Since my son started in a short time, I've seen a huge transformation in him. His confidence has grown so much. He cried through the first two weeks, but now he absolutely loves it and looks forward to every class. The coaches are phenomenal. They teach real techniques! The first time I watched him participate, I cried because I was so proud to see him be so brave. They are always challenging him and that's exactly what he needs. I truly believe bringing him here will be invaluable for him. He's become noticeably more confident and I've seen improvement in his self esteem by so much! If you're on the fence, take this as your sign. This place is amazing.

I came in as a brown belt from another state and was immediately welcomed by Oli, Madison, Adam, Stephen, and Bryce. Instead of feeling like "the new person," I felt like family. After training with coaches Fadi, Vinicius, Nate, and Phillipe, I knew I had found my new home. I tried so many gyms in the area before landing here. I wasn't just looking for a place to train--I was looking for great people, strong leadership, and a positive culture. This gym checks every box. As a woman in this sport, finding a safe and respectful environment can be challenging. Unfortunately, higher-belt females are sometimes treated like "test dummies," and people roll too aggressively. That is NOT the case here. The teammates I've trained with are technical, controlled, and respectful. They know how to train hard without hurting you, and that says everything about the culture. Whether you want to train Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, compete at a high level, or just train for fun and fitness, this gym is for you. It's welcoming to beginners, hobbyists, and serious athletes alike. And if anything ever comes up, the head coach takes it seriously and handles it immediately. You're truly supported here. They also have an amazing program for all ages, making this a great place for individuals and families. If you're looking for a gym with great instruction, a strong community, and an environment where you'll grow safely and confidently--this is it. I'm proud to call Renzo Gracie's my home. Highly recommend.
