This is THE place to go to for pilates! I've tried many other pilates studios in the Houston area and this is my favorite one. I came across this studio from ClassPass and I love Pennie's classes. She's a phenomenal instructor and she truly cares about your form. She gives great instructions and will help you if you're a beginner to pilates. There's only a few reformers in the studio which is great for a small and intimate sessions. I prefer small classes over big classes anyway. I absolutely love 713 Pilates. The teachers are challenging but fair. They understand you're there to get a great workout and encourage you to push yourself to your own personal boundaries. The class sizes are small so you receive individual attention and small, encouraging adjustments as necessary. I especially love taking Clare's classes! She's the best. Pilates classes are expensive in general but the attention, equipment, and overall experience at 713 Pilates makes it well worth your money and time. Please visit, you won't regret it! read more

This is my favorite Pilates... nay, fitness studio in Houston. It is filled with light, intimate and has beautiful reformers. I am a fitness professional and this is where I come to work out. I am loving this studio! Classes are small (no more than 7 people) so you always get personal attention from the instructor. If you aren't doing something correctly, she will notice and help you. So far I've only taken classes from Penny, but I was chatting with someone who takes the AM classes and loves that instructor too. The workouts are always challenging but doable. Great for those wanting to work on abs! She will tell you how much resistance to put on the machine but if you find that too easy/too difficult you may need to adjust which takes a bit of knowledge of the reformer machines. The classes are spaced 5 minutes apart so just know that getting there super early your first time won't help. The studio is conveniently located, clean and not smelly. Parking is pretty easy although you may not always be able to get a spot in the lot. Lots of nearby street parking though. The only bummer is that classpass only allows me to visit 3x per month. Wear: Capris/leggings rather than shorts. No zippers. Some people wear toe socks, some people wear grippy socks, some do class barefoot. Bring: nothing. You won't really have a chance to drink water during class and you won't sweat enough to need a towel. read more

So impressed by 713 Pilates! I was very intimidated to try Pilates. I have always been interested in it, but the machines scared me and I thought I would either be awkward with the movements or not be able to do them at all! I called 713 Pilates and was very impressed that the owner, Krista Schuelke Cook answered my call and was so helpful in answering all my questions. She had me laughing and completely at ease immediately. She helped me schedule my first private session with a trainer she thought would match me perfectly and she gave me her cell phone in case I needed to call or text her. She went above and beyond to help me and made my first experience with the studio one that got me very excited to try Pilates! The studio itself is very clean and modern. The machines were not near as intimidating as I thought they would be and the session was just what I have been looking for and went well beyond my expectations. I felt like I left with a new body! I am now five sessions in and 713 Pilates has become my happy place! I love going there and my results are nothing short of spectacular! I feel longer and have the best posture and alignment that I have ever had! I'm excited to try their group-classes as well, but plan to keep taking privates along with a class or two each week. I'm officially 713 Pilates obsessed! I have met all of the trainers and am impressed with their knowledge and certifications. I've been a regular at 713 Pilates. I highly recommend this studio. It's clean and the reformers and wunda chairs are in great condition. I've worked with Claire the most and she's become a real favorite of mine. Her classes always guarantee a solid workout AND she is extremely attentive. I need a lot of reminders to keep my alignment and posture in check and she's always giving the perfect cues, right in the nick of time. This studio does a terrific job of accommodating an array of levels and needs. I've taken classes here where the students have been pregnant, injured, professional ballerinas, and other pilates/fitness instructors. Claire can modify every exercise instantly to fit the varying needs of each participant. Everyone is well taken care of and leaves sweaty and feeling satisfied. The best Pilates class in Houston. Every class is superb and the timing is excellent. Weekends and evening available and I always leave exhausted and accomplished. Found this place with ClassPass so came by to check out one of their lunchtime slots. The instructor, Courtney was amazing. Well structured class, fast paced but safe - she was constantly reassuring us to listen to our bodies and work within our abilities, but pushing advanced students to take additional work if necessary. I was aching all the next day in a really good way! Studio itself got a little warm during the class but it was clean, well set out with good equipment. Highly recommend. read more

713 Pilates is the best Pilates studio in Houston. I like that the classes are on the smaller scale so you get more one on one attention. They keep the reformers clean and they seem to be well taken care of. My favorite instructor is Pennie. I've been taking her classes off and on for over two years now and her classes are never the same so it doesn't get monotonous. I love this pilates studio! It's located in Montrose, which is a plus. Easy to get to on W. Alabama. There isn't always parking in the lot, but you can usually find it pretty easy in the neighborhood streets. Just be wary of parking too close to stop signs & fire hydrants! It's always very clean. I absolutely love the cleaning solution they use; it smells fabulous & I wish my home smelled like it! There are only a few people in each class (max of 7) so you always get lots of attention & hands on assistance from the teachers. I have been coming here for almost 2 years as a ClassPass member so usually 3 classes a month. I've been to many different instructor's classes, but my personal favorite is Jaime Fruge-Walne! She's super personable & funny, but she also kicks your butt in class! I like that they have the Wunda Chair because most studios I've been to do not. The classes are very challenging, but they also allow for modifications and changing springs to make the exercises easier or harder. I usually don't break a sweat in class, but I always feel the burn and I'm sore the next day or two so I know it's doing some good! Wear grip socks for better grip on the machine when you're standing. A+! I recommend to anyone who enjoys pilates to try this place out! read more

I LOOOOOVE this studio! Very conveniently located if you work downtown. I typically run to the studio straight from my office. Also right near a wonderful cafe. The studio is bright and clean. Very traditional reformer Pilates. It is so challenging! My favorite instructor is Penny! She really pushes you and always gives the class an "if you want more challenge..." Option. I am coming up on my 5 year anniversary at 713 Pilates and I cannot say enough nice things about it! It truly is my home away from home. Krista has created a top-notch studio with excellent, well trained teachers. You know when you come you will get a phenomenal workout, and more importantly, you will not injure yourself while doing so! The small classes allow for the teacher to give each person the attention he or she needs. The atmosphere is conducive for friendships to be made in class and then walk on over to Siphon for a cup of coffee to continue the friendships! I feel so lucky to have found 713 Pilates. Thanks to Classpass I've had the opportunity to try out several Pilates studios. I must say this one is my favorite as far as using the Reformer machine. It's a very small studio but perfect for those who prefer smaller classes. I attended Pennie's class last night and she was patient at explaining the movements even to an uncoordinated girl like myself. This studio actually isolated muscles and covered the entire body with most focus on the core. Last night's class also included the Wunda Chair which I loved! It was such a different Pilates machine than I've ever used and a fun way to work on the abs & obliques. I will definitely be coming back here for Pilates sessions. read more

I have started Pilates about half a year ago here at 713 and am still fully into it! It's a small studi, cozy and friendly atmosphere, and I ALWAYS enjoy taking classes. The different Pilates coaches have very different styles, so you can usually chose for whatever mood you're in. Also, signing up online, even on short notice, is very convenient. The classes themselves are always highly professional, and you learn a lot about your body! To keep it simple: great place, I highly recommend everyone to try and get hooked up as well. read more

713 pilates is THE BEST. Best instructors. Best reformers. Best workout. I started with Pennie a few months after I had a baby. It was the point in my life when I most needed to be in shape and at the same time felt I would never get there. Pennie challenged me and believed in me and now I'm stronger and healthier than I've ever been. When an old knee injury resurfaced, Chelsea helped me troubleshoot it and got me back on track. Now I regularly go to class with Clare and Ty and I've never felt stronger. Clare's enthusiasm and interest in her clients makes you feel like you're taking a class taught by a great friend who also happens to be very knowledgeable about the human body and pilates and leaves you feeling like you've done something great for your mind and body! Ty's classes are always evolving and her ab workouts are the best challenge you'll ever take. I never thought I would look forward to ab workouts but hers are so worth it. Most importantly 713 offers a welcoming environment to anyone from beginners to experts and I highly recommend it! read more
