I'm not really familiar with Big 5, and probably won't be back (to this location) unless I'm already there on that side of town. Wasn't bad, just living near north east, it's too far for too little to warrant a return. Otherwise though, from baseball to MMA, and even hunting (they sell rifles) it's got everything you need... Just might lack in what you WANT. So depends, do your needs (and wallet) trump your wants? If so, and you're near Zaragoza, hit up Big 5 Das It Mayne

Its an interesting fan shop because in addition to caps and shirts, they sell a very wide variety of non-traditional merchandise, like backpacks, handbags, cell phone cases, etc. I also liked that the merchandise doesn't revolve entirely around the Cowboys, because even though I'm a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, El Paso has a way of giving one Cowboys fatigue in a way that even Dallas couldn't (don't worry, its also not an Eagles shop, despite the giant inflatable Eagle guy outside the door). They have merch from a lot of teams, including soccer, so if you follow an unpopular team, you can still find stuff here. Yelp doesn't have a category for fan gear, so please note that Big Bang Sports doesn't sell sporting goods, they sell fan apparel, gear, and merchandise.

However, I can't find the PE shirts anywhere else. For that reason, I've been coming to Sports World for a couple of years now. I think it's a local business. If it is, that's great! Each shirt I bought was $10.95 plus tax. The shirts include the mascot/logo from my son's school. Whatever happened to wearing any old shirt for PE? It's a small place but they got the job done quickly. I told them exactly what he needed and the rest was history. I was out of the store in about five minutes. Sports World specializes in embroidery and logos on shirts, caps, etc. They also have several other options on their website. I'm sure I'll be back whenever my son needs something for school. I might consider getting a cardigan for myself. I love those things!

Official Corporate Complaint (Recommended)Use this option to email Academy Sports corporate…read morecustomer service or speak to a regional manager. To Corporate Management,I am writing to formally report an unacceptable and discriminatory experience at your El Paso location (201 South Americas Avenue). As a 28-year Navy Veteran and current high school teacher, I was treated like a criminal during a recent online order pickup.I arrived to pick up a shotgun and a pistol that I had already purchased online. I presented my receipt, ticket number, and debit card for verification. The transaction was handled by an elderly employee wearing a black mask. This employee demonstrated severe cognitive difficulties, repeatedly losing his pencil, misplacing my ID, and completely disappearing for 20 minutes. The entire process took over two hours.Despite successfully passing the federal background check, signing all paperwork, and verifying the serial numbers, the employee ultimately refused to release my firearms. His only justification was that I verbally confirmed I bought a shotgun and a pistol--the exact items on my receipt. When I escalated the issue to the store manager, Karla, she blindly sided with the employee's irrational decision instead of correcting the situation. This behavior is completely unacceptable, counterproductive, and disrespectful to law-abiding citizens and veterans. I request an immediate investigation into this store's management, the termination of the employees involved, and a resolution regarding my paid merchandise.
