TheDuke Blue Devils vanquished the Sun Devils of Arizona State 42-39. We entered the stadium via the Glory Road. Despite parking being an "adventure" for us after arriving after the start of the event, we found the walk to the entrance no so crowded or too busy. Finding our section and row was easy and the steps were not to dah ring for my 70yo mom to trudge up, then down. Since a group of us got tickets for this event, we were surrounded by a group of folks from Fort Bliss. It was a place to be social and enjoy the main event, surrounded by the wonderful people of El Paso and plenty of UTEP Miners that regularly call the Sun Bowl home. There are plenty of vendors underneath the stands, but it makes navigating the pathways. The innards of the bowl are well marked, so finding your section is easy. Once you get there, the seats are unblocked and access to the stadium today was awesome. On the rare chance that it does rain in El Paso, the bowl is uncovered...so come prepared. Similarly, since it's out in the open, the true threat is the glaring sun...sun block or shade is useful, if not necessary. All in all, we had a Grrrrrr-eat time at the Sun Bowl. Congrats to the Blue Devils.

My sister has been there before for football games , but has never gone there before for a major concert . I think if it wasn't for the scorching heat, it would have been a much more pleasant experience. Overall, though, it was hard to tell whether the city of El Paso was ready to handle the mega stardom of Coldplay, and the crazy crowds brought by Coldplay's presence in town! We attended the second concert in El Paso, which was exactly 2 weeks ago today on Sat (6/14). The lines could have been somewhat better organized because it wasn't completely clear which line was for what. Like so many others, our friend had already purchased our tickets through a legitimate and validated ticket vendor like StubHub. But even so, my sister decided to go to the very front of the many lines to inquire exactly where we were supposed to enter from. Once we found out we didn't have to stand in line for that long, we made our way to the front, got our ice cream sandwiches , refreshing cucumber drinks, and other drinks before we made our way into the stadium and to our seats. There were plenty of food and snack options. But the challenging part was getting through the throngs of crowds in the sweltering heat without fainting or passing out. We had heard that someone had fainted and passed out at the Fri (6/13) concert. So we were very careful and tried to stay as well-hydrated as we could in hopes that wouldn't happen to any of us ! The restrooms were not the greatest, but they were decent for their purpose. Once the opening acts finished, and Coldplay finally started performing, it was such an amazing spectacle at Sun Bowl Stadium :D ! The excitement of the crowd and the magic of Coldplay filled the stadium :D ! It was in every sense "A Sky Full of Stars " :) ! Unfortunately, just like any other stadium , it was a zoo to get out! And because it seemed like Old Glory Road was the main way to exit, it took us at least 2 hours just to move 6 miles! Unless UTEP Sun Bowl can improve the traffic and crowd flow in the future, I'm not sure if we would return for a concert. But despite the challenges with getting in and out of a stadium, watching Coldplay for their "Music of the Spheres" tour was absolutely mesmerizing and captivating :D ! And truly an awesome experience we will always treasure and never forget :) !

We brought my wife, our two small dogs, and our 11-month-old baby, and the entire visit exceeded expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly, polite, and courteous from the moment we arrived. The facilities were very clean and well-maintained, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One thing that really stood out was the nursing room with A/C -- it was perfect for when our baby started getting too warm. Snack prices were reasonable, and there were tons of great options to choose from. The water park area was also a huge hit and a great way to cool down, especially during the warmer weather. Overall, we had a fantastic family-friendly experience and highly recommend attending, especially for Bark at the Park. We'll definitely be back!

Great experience at Southwest University Stadium…read more We dropped in for a Chihuahua 's game. The line started up at 5pm for 6:35 game. They don't allow items inside the stadium, so check what you can bring on their website before you go Parking is available, but we parked at UTEP and took the EP Streetcar in. We got our tickets online, but you could get them at the box office. Look for discounted tickets! There are plenty of free gifts and theme nights. We enjoyed the fireworks! They have plenty of food inside. From hot dogs, nachos, frutas locas, kettle corn and vendors like noodles, pizza, etc. Plenty of beers. The stadium is kid friendly, and there is Chico way...out in the outfield with a splash pad and the lawn. Authentic Chihui gear is available here...it isn't cheap, but it's available to support your team. It was fun, and we will be back plenty of times this season to support our Chihuahuas.
