I called for a taxi to my acreage, got voicemail, called back, got an answer, and I started to give directions. I was cutoff and told GPS would get him here and he would be 10 mins or less. He never showed up, nor did I ever get a call back. O called again, after waiting over 40 mins, and got voicemail repeatedly. This is not the first time this has happened with Morinville Taxi. If you actually want to be picked up and taken anywhere, I would NOT recommend calling this guy! I ended up calling Aaron Taxi in St.Albert and they were fantastic! Give your business to someone who values it!

I decided to try this service after a few weekends ago using Dedicated Designated Drivers (see…read moreother review). Like the other company, they will call you ahead of time before they get there. No problems, as they were prompt at the time I needed them. I just called an hour before I needed a pick up. The driver was friendly and had a good chat on the way home. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is that there was some confusion with the payment option. When it came time to pay, I was going to pay by credit card, however, I was informed he didn't have the portable machine. So we had to go back out to a bank by my place so I could withdraw cash. My driver found out later that, yes, could pay by CC, he just had to phone it in to the office. I will give him the benefit of the doubt, as he was new and was probably not made aware of this. I think the business just needs to invest in a couple of portable payment machines like their competition, as this may cause future confusion (the website states you can pay by MC/Visa). If I do use them again, I will just take out cash, as I'm not a fan of giving my credit card over the phone unless I really know the company. Other than that, I had no problem with using them. They charge a flat $40-50 for surrounding Edmonton area, so it cost me $50, compare that to my last cab ride from the same area back home and it cost $70! So more than reasonable price. Now, the other company (Dedicated Designated Drivers) would have cost me about $72 (you can put in your destination on their website to get a quote), but if you are going a shorter distance their minimum charge is only $33. So depending on your distance, you can decide which company you want to go with. Either way, please don't drink and drive and give these guys a call should you drive and then end up drinking.

Capital Taxi is a decent Taxi service…read more Nothing really changes from one company to the next but there's nothing to complain about with this one. They get you from point A to point B without causing you any trouble. They do seem to arrive faster than some other ones though but I don't take a cab very often so I am not exactly a good judge of the timing. If you are in a hurry give them a try and see if I was right.
