A lot of the folks who came in for dinner wanted to sit on the terrace to bask in the last couple of hours of sun, but being from Florida I get overdosed with that and sat inside. I'm glad I did, the playlist reminded me of a Sunday picnic without being either. However, the atmosphere felt like that, even indoors. The owner was super personable, and the server was just the right amount of attentive. I ordered the chicken piri piri, and it presented beautifully. I felt comforted by the food. The tender grilled chicken parted from the bone with a twist of my fork and the mashed sweet potato was a great partner to the savory, citrusy, and slightly spicy piri piri. Im not even a chicken thigh person, but this dish changed me. I actually felt tended to and taken care of by the food! Does that even make sense??? It did when I was eating because that's how I felt. And the crazy thing is, I've been here once before. I loved what I ate, but it didn't feel like this. It's been a rough couple of months, but after this meal and listening to the carefree, but intentional music, it lit up my mood and my spirit. This will definitely be one of my go-to's when I visit Saratoga Springs, and I highly recommend 9 Miles East Farm to anyone. I was despairing of finding a thin crust pizza that taste awesome since I moved but this was one of the best places I've gone to for pizza. My roommate gave it his seal of approval when he said it's not terrible. I've come to the conclusion he has no taste buds.
