Assuming that your pharmacists and aides have been given training I made an appointment for Sunday, September 27, at 8:30 at the3 Walgreens on Shaver Road in Portage. When I arrived, I was informed that the pharmacist and aide have not been trained and could not administer the test or read the results. They advised me to arrange an appointment at another store. I drove the twenty minutes back home and called another store on Westnedge and Whites Road in Kalamazoo and asked the customer service person in the pharmacy there if they administer the in-store test. That person replied in the affirmative. So I drove thirty minutes to that store. Upon arrival I was told that they could do the test or I could buy the test, take it home and do it myself. The customer service person told me it was the same test. She said it was right here and pointed at a blank wall inside the pharmacy cage. When I asked, where since she was pointing at a wall, she told me that it was on the other side of the wall she was pointing at. When I asked which test I should choose, she answered curtly, "Whichever one I wanted." Overall the experience I have had with Walgreen today is enough to make me not return, ever.

I have never been so uncomfortable receiving anything medical as I was going to them for the shot. It was horrid. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I promise, any other store around will be cheaper, better, and more sanitary. But no matter what, do not trust that pharmacy to give you your shot. I am shocked they haven't caused any infections by now. This pharmacy is so bad, it needs to be shut down because they make someone seriously sick. Do not give them any business. We need to make sure they go under and get closed or else someone will get seriously I'll from going there. Walgreens, I know you're a dying business but either do better or just close your stores. I stopped in this morning to inquire if they could call Walgreen's to transfer my prescription to them. They were so nice and accommodating. I was treated so kindly that I knew I had made the perfect choice. I love the store. Lots of gifts, cards, regular over the counter items, and some very unique items that you can't find in any other stores around here. I'm anxious to try Camille Beckman's hand therapy, which was 60% off. This is the beginning of what I know will be a long and great relationship with Medicine Tree Pharmacy.

There have been numerous times I have been a in a poor mood because of work, family, etc. But, each time I walk in here, I am greeted by someone with a smile. This is not an ordinary smile. I can easily tell if a smile is fake or not. Believe me, this smile is not fake. I majored in psychology and human relations at Davenport University, so I know much about facial expressions/features. Psychologists, like myself, have found that a particular set of facial actions give away true smiles. These "genuine" smiles are called Duchenne smiles. These are smiles that engage the muscle around your eyes. Below, I have a photo of different type of smiles that workers show. I have been to numerous stores where I have received a smile such as (Row 1, Column 5). I can tell immediately that they actually do not care about my happiness. However, the smiles at this CVS on W. In all that time I have received exceptional attention. Once, recently, a single prescription was not delivered on time and when I called to find out what the happened the response was surprise with immediate remedying of the situation and bountiful apologies. Only once in 22 years and yet here on Yelp I read two negative reviews. Hard to figure out how that could have happened. I have waited over a month for refills with no movement, last week my husband followed up on these scripts and was told they weren't filling them since I already had a refill. I have new insurance and these aren't controlled substances so my husband reiterated to fill it now. Today after my husband received a refill and I spoke to the driver asking where mine was. I called the pharmacy and was transferred twice on my lunch break. I gave up and am finding a new pharmacy for myself and my family because they have proven once too many times by delaying scripts and writing the wrong scripts on pill packs they can't be trusted. Our health is at stake with these people.
