Startled, I immediately pulled over to assess the damage. I quickly called four businesses that advertised prompt Sunday service, but only one answered the phone and delivered on its promise: Speed Auto Glass in Alexandria, Virginia. After completing the online quote form, I received a prompt follow-up call. An estimate was provided, although I was asked to bring the vehicle in for an accurate assessment. Mobile service was not available, but I appreciated the straightforward communication. Upon arrival, I was greeted immediately. My vehicle was inspected and then pulled into a service bay for windshield replacement. Despite having three vehicles being serviced at the same time, the team appeared organized and efficient. While waiting, I enjoyed a cool, clean, comfortable, and spacious lobby, especially appreciated on a +90 degree day. The waiting area included a table, several chairs, complimentary tea, and magazines. My partner and I even had time to enjoy lunch at a nearby Thai restaurant while the work was being completed. Approximately three hours later, my vehicle was ready. I was pleased with the final price which included a lifetime warranty. The entire experience was professional, efficient, and hassle-free. What began as an unexpected disruption to my Sunday ended with excellent customer service and a quality repair. Thank you to the team at Speed Auto Glass for turning a stressful situation into a positive experience.

My wife called the insurance company and an appointment with Safelite was made for April 21st, over a week away. We've had the car only a few days. It has only 1900 miles on it. I called the dealership where I bought it to ask for recommendations on getting it fixed and they immediately said they send all their glass jobs to Champion Auto Glass. I called and Ian the owner answered. He took my name, VIN, and insurance information. He told me he could get it done sooner and better. I said OK and called the insurance company glass department which is actually affiliated with Safelite. They had no problem however changing my claim to Champion. The windshield came in today and Ian rearranged his schedule so my windshield could be replaced. As promised, it was done sooner than what it would have been done. Ian is not only an awesome businessman who goes the extra mile for his customers but he's a nice guy. He has a trained, experienced, and professional crew who along with Ian, had my glass replaced and calibrated in only an hour and a half. Special shoutout to Jimmy at the front desk. He was busier than a cat covering its poo but I noticed he handled the numerous calls with calmness and professionalism. Unfortunately, the only reason to deal with this awesome company is if you have broken glass. I think I'll swing by with lunch some day.

Bottom line: I would use All-American again but was a little upset about some of the "delays"…read more I had all-american perform my auto-glass replacement after a rock hit my windshield through my dealership's referral. The day it happened they were very accomodating - the women who work there were friendly and worked with me so I could meet the technician to see if he could patch it. The technician was friendly as well - he tried, however it was too large and I needed a full replacement. I appreciated the try, though. All-American also priced their work fairly and gave me a good price for the windshield and install. All-American recommends you let your car sit overnight after a replacement, which is fine, however I had to bring it into the shop requiring me either a) to go without a car for a day and make other arrangements or b) get a rental. The first time I went in I was able to secure a rental car. However, All-American called that afternoon saying they had ordered the wrong window and would have to reschedule. To their credit, All-American offered to take care of the rental car on my next visit. A week later, I bring my car in again and everything goes smoothly. However, later that evening, I ran my windshield wipers to notice they were completely askew. I immediately called All-American, who called me back the next morning and made arrangements with my dealership for them to fix it. Apparently the wipers were put on the wrong sides. So, to sum it up: Pros: Friendly and accomodating staff, workmanship (window install seems good), knowledge of the industry, price Cons: a few "hiccups" like ordering the wrong part and the windshield wiper mistake.

Expensive cars, expensive problems....even down to the rims & tires!…read more Sharper Image ARS is a life saver! Have you ever had one of those moments, on a freezing cold day, running late for work and when you finally rush out the door to start your commute to work...you noticed your tire is flat or has lost most of its air!? If so, you know my pain. Go figure, the joys of having a high-end sports ride and low profile tires!! The winter season can be ruff on low-profile tires or any car with a set of rims on them. I had an issue with one stubborn tire where I kept losing air in the tire due to a damaged rim and the crazy temperature changes lately here in DC. I had two separate auto shops try to repair the issue...with no success until I stumbled on Sharper Image ARS. What a great find?! These guys came recommended to me right on time by Mac's Tire (another life saver) in DC. Mac's does not repair rims, hence why I needed a specialty tire/rim repair shop like Sharper Image ARS. These guys know their stuff. I called and made an appointment for the same day. The Manager, Shawn Gray, was able to easily assess the issue, repair/resurface the rim almost to a new one, and seal the tire on the rim correctly. He went above and beyond to make sure the problem was fixed. My wheel was restored back to the original performance and I was really pleased with his work. No more having the need to fill my tire with air every couple of days...sometimes 2-3 times a week due to this issue. It's been two weeks of freezing cold weather and I haven't had another air leak or issue with the tire/rim since going to Sharper Image ARS. Just in time for the snow and blizzard this weekend! 5 Stars easily!! I would highly recommend checking these guys out if you are having tire/rim issues. Services also include car detailing, tire/rim sales, minor mechanic and bodywork services too. They are very professional and run a good, honest shop. ONE SIDE NOTE....I see some folks complaining about the business location. Do not be discouraged by the location or the looks of the establishment. They are legit and are currently renovating while operating their business.
