Richard came out to help me fix a broken hose for my pool equipment. He was friendly, knowledgeable and competent. I also had a broken pool light that he was able to replace. He made sure that appropriate circuit breakers were in place, and he was very patient and professional, when I at first didn't get the right wiring installed by an electrician which meant Richard couldn't put in the light in the first attempt. Rich the owner is very knowledgeable in everything pool related. He is licensed contractor and so you can have extra assurance things will be completed correctly per code. He is such a wonderful person, friendly, kind and honest. There are rare people like Rich left and I am glad he lives in our neighborhood and he is creating a better community. Rich was able to give me a good quote over the phone prior to coming out. He did come out and took a look at my equipment, which is 15 years old. As a new pool owner, I called Rich to see if he can do the initial cleaner and give me tutorial on the pool. Rich said he typically would work on commercial pools, but still agreed to come by and took a look. He showed up on time and was very professional. He gave me a tutorial and added some chemicals to the pool, for FREE! I decided to upgrade the pool filter to a bigger size with him at the end and he did the initial cleaning for free as well. I have been using D&R Pool Service for almost a year for our house we bought with a pool. It started out with a quote to fix a timer and then after procrastinating a few months our entire pump went out. So again I called Richard up and got another quote and thought to go ahead with both repairs. He directed me to a more efficient pump that had a built in timer and let me know I didn't need the timer replaced with the new pump. Then after struggling for a 6 months to keep the pool clean and chemicals correct, I called again to get regular pool service. Now Richard takes care of everything for us and all we do is enjoy the pool. He has done excellent work on everything we have needed fixed (replace shorted out pool lights, replace pool pump, clean filters, repair tiles that came loose and other repairs as needed). Something I truly appreciate is that he lets you know all the options and then will also tell you what he would do if it were his pool for cost effectiveness. He does not try to get you to purchase unnecessary things. When you are looking for someone to do anything for your pool, I would highly recommend that you call Richard.
