My gripe is the rep I spoke to assured me they would cancel my service before the next billing cycle, well they didn't by 2 days. After speaking with someone on their "leadership" team about not billing me in full $75 for 2 days (when I had already stopped using 4 days prior), it was clear this person had no interest in keeping a positive view of the company and was just waiting for the phone call to end. Spectrum is does not reward loyalty. You guys will get your $75 and I will never get another service from you and will warn as many people as I can to stay away from you guys. But hey, you got paid so its all good.

We paid them, called many times and left messages and still have not received a call back. All we are trying to do is up grade our satellite system. Direct TV should cancel there agreement with them and find someone who cares about there customers. If I were you I would try everything in your power to find someone else if you have any issues with Direct TV. Seriously it's been over a month with bad service and no support. Hey actually , just tried to cancel my service with Direct TV. Turns out there is another Direct TV dealer in Hawaii! Don't believe The Satelite Guys, they are NOT exclusive. But when my internet bill went up to $100 a month. I'd had enough. So I stopped by the Hawaii Telcom kiosk in Windward Mall. I met and was helped by Regina Espinoza (she gave me her card to share) . She shared about their program that is only $40/month for high speed internet, the process is locked in for 5 years, this process includes the router AND the first 2 months are free. She didn't have to tell me much more. I was sold at $40/month! She was able to set me up for install the following Wednesday, we decided on a time, afternoon. And we were set to go. On Wednesday afternoon, Robby our installer called to confirm the appointment and to let us know about what time he'd be at our home. Then he called again while he was on his way. My home is in a warehouse, so during the work day, parking can get a little tight. So I called him and told him that I'd make sure that he had a place to park. I had him park in my stall, while I ran some errands. I came home when I knew the parking lot would be clear. And Robbie was leaving to go up the road to make some kind of connection he needed for my install. He came back after a short while. He was very pleasant and courteous. He helped me download the app that I needed to complete the set up, walked me through the app set up and even helped me put my router up, off the floor, so my internet service wouldn't be so spotty. Last of all he asked if I was keeping Spectrum, I told him no way. And asked him if he'd help me take the Spectrum hardware off. He took all the PCs wrapped all the cords and put them on the floor in an easy place for me to get to. I can't express what an excellent level of excellence I received. I'm a very happy new customer and grateful to be "locked in for the next 5 years! " Big Mahalos to Regina and Robbie, for being wonderful examples of Hawaiian Tel com's excellent customer service!

Request a callback? Good luck. Finally get someone on the phone? Be prepared to explain the same problem repeatedly, get transferred around, and still have no resolution at the end of it. The most frustrating part isn't even the wait. It's the complete lack of ownership. Nobody seems to know what to do, nobody seems empowered to actually fix anything, and nobody seems particularly concerned that the customer is getting absolutely nowhere. You are paying for a service, yet when something goes wrong, Hawaiian Telcom makes **you** do all the work to get help. You chase them. You wait for them. You call them. You explain everything again. And then you start the process all over. Customer service should mean solving problems. Hawaiian Telcom's version seems to mean making customers work as hard as possible to get someone to acknowledge that there is a problem. I would give zero stars if I could. **If you are considering Hawaiian Telcom, understand what you're signing up for: when everything works, maybe it doesn't matter. When you actually need help, prepare yourself for an absolute nightmare.** One of the most frustrating companies I have ever had to deal with. Completely unacceptable.

Was a loyal and satisfied customer for over 10 years. The quality of the product and features…read moreoffered are unmatched-I.e., recording, hopper, hearing impaired Bluetooth headphone option. However, when I requested my satellite dishes be relocated (from rooftop to ground) due to significant rust on the supports this was the beginning of the end of our customer loyalty. The two new in-ground posts were not secured properly (at the top) and the poles/dishes moved significantly with slight wind. Random cable placement along the side of the house looked ridiculous. Excess cable (approx 3-5') was loose and stuffed behind the pole-top dish mount and the satellite reception was never obtained - no TV for 5 days. The old, rusted satellite dishes were left on the rooftop - technician stated that I needed to call-in a separate work order to have them removed to which I replied "that was my original work request". I pleaded with the technician to remove the old dishes due to safety concerns - he relented and removed the dishes but left the rusted mounts and bolts on top of the roof. The first call to customer Svc / CS that same day ended with "we'll have a technician back there tomorrow". After a no-show the following day the second call to CS was further frustrating w the CS agent stating "we have no record of your previous call". The technician actions along w the CS drama led to a 'no choice' decision - cancellation of DISH service. As of this writing we're still awaiting our $200+ reimbursement- all receivers and equipment were mailed back in June and received (tracked). Unprofessional and unacceptable customer support and service. I gotta say it (DISH) was fun while it lasted.

5 stars for the employee in store but online information and help is zero stars for misinformation…read more(online stated only if you change your plan by a certain date then it's effective on that billing cycle) Just so everyone in Hawaii knows, spectrum billing will not under any exception change over a plan until the equipment gets shipped and installed in Hawaii. They will also send you a whole refurbished modem when the current one you have installed is still working and nothing wrong with the modem itself. This takes over a week and probably into your next billing cycle to milk you for more money if it "just happens to run into the next cycle" including a hour long setup time
