Every car I have ever purchased from a dealer has always come with a full tank of gas. I tried to fill the tank but the pump kept shutting off. I ignored the problem thinking it was the pumps fault. later tried to fill again at another station, again kept shutting down. Googled why I cant fill my tank, came back as a bad charcoal fuel line filter. Long story short when I had the car hooked up to an analyzer it showed the code had been erased before I bought the car. The dealership knew there was a $600 dollar repair needed but did not disclose the problem. I guess buyer beware is something to remember when dealing with used cars!

Whereas Hy-Tech stands by their work (I've bought tires from them, one with a leak, which they replaced for free.), Chapman's trumps up charges, even when they provided no fruitful results. In Feb 2025, I called Hy-Tech with a P2647 code and faltering power on my Honda CRV 2009. Hy-Tech was busy, but gave some helpful suggestions to look into (VVT solenoid). When I brought the vehicle to Chapman's, they called after a few hours claiming that my issues were related to a recurring P0420 code (a recurring code on this vehicle) and tried to sell me the very expensive and relatively useless job of new catalytic converters. Tried to impress me with the diligence and extensive scanning with their diagnostics scanner, but failed to give any better suggestion than new cats, while even admitting that that was probably not the true problem and the small amount of oil burnt might likely foul the new cats anyway, rendering the whole fix useless. And they "were not able to replicate the faltering". Stupidly, I paid the $250 fee for failed diagnostics over the phone without asking for a price breakdown. When I picked up the vehicle after hours, the receipt showed $120 for Diagnostics, and $130 for the complete list of codes found (Air bag sensors, abnormal door lock voltages, etc.) MAYBE I would have wanted that information if I was driving a 2025 brand new vehicle, but not a 16 year old beater at 300,000 miles with an obvious and very specific issue. DON'T GO HERE. WASTE OF MONEY FOR INEXPERIENCED SERVICE THAT DOESN'T CARE FOR ITS CUSTOMERS.

A guy from the shop asked me did you just have your transmission fluid changed? I replied no. He said it was the cleanest he had ever seen. That's because there was none in it. My transmission went out. My mechanic said no fluid wrecked it. I contacted Scott the owner he blamed my van? So I leased a truck and went to a koo. My customer asked where's your van I told him what happened. He said I brought my truck there they didn't put oil in it and my motor went out. Snappy Lube had to replace it. So I thought I would take them to court. Then I read someone else did and Scott got on a payment plan? That customer said it took forever to get paid back. All said Scott cost me $2,500 to bring it to Snappy Lube for an oil change. Don't be fooled on his website as well look for lowest ratings he has a lot of them folks.

I purchased a vehicle from Dave november 2024. putting down %90 cash as I just wanted to have the…read morecar paid off as soon as possible. the car the next day had check engine lights and sputtering issues and and coolant lights and I reached out to Dave and he never got back to me. a couple weeks later I reach back out to him and finally hear back that he's going to come get the vehicle and fix it. come to find out he charges me $1800 and it's still having the same issues and on top of that won't give me the title to the car until I pay for whatsver they did that didn't even fix it. many months later feeling very defeated like I just had to pay off a car that was an absolute turd and come to find out Dave is a close family friend and my family member had heard about my troubles and wanted to help out. we set a meeting between the 3 of us to try to find out a resolution. Dave offered me $4500 for a car I paid him $15000 for plus the 1800 for the "repairs" then after I denied that offer we decided to have them take another look at the vehicle where it then proceeded to sit unlooked at for nearly 30 days until we got bad weather and I needed the vehicle back. so after a year of trying to get this guy to help me out with the piece of junk he sold me we got nowhere. if I would've put the minimum payment down I would've just given the car back because it was trash but sense I paid $13000 down for the $15000 car dave just rolled me over and took my money and didn't offer any help at all over the course of a year. all in all I guess what I'm saying is IF DAVE WILL SCREW HIS FRIENDS NEPHEW OVER HELL PROBABLY SCREW YOU OVER TOO! many of the times I'd come drop off payments dave would also be intoxicated while in the office, the first night I met him there it was later in the evening and I thought maybe they where just hanging around having a couple after work but after dropping off a few months of payments in person he was intoxicated often. It was a Saturday morning so I made a large tumbler full of iced coffee before I hit the road. About an hour into the drive my bladder decided to go ding ding ding. I knew Milaca Unclaimed Freight was just ahead so I thought I'd stop in to use the restroom. Biggest mistake of the day! After using the restroom I decided to walk up and down the aisles. And boy did they have deals. I happened to be in the holiday home decor section and my hands were full. There was a lady standing next to me and I mentioned to her that I should have grabbed a cart. She responded with "you always grab a cart". So I went and grabbed a cart and put my selections in the basket. I kept running into her in the other aisles. And every time I saw her she was interested in what I added to the basket. She was fun, nice lady. I got stuff for the house. I got stuff for work. And I guess I started my Christmas shopping today too. The grand total was just under $200. That was an expensive rest stop. Dang coffee bladder!
