I'm a fan of First Fuel Banks because you really can save money using their various locations. You…read morefirst have to set up an account and deposit money into it. Then you receive a card to use at their locations. It comes out of your account. It's not uncommon that I'm saving 10 cents per gallon, and sometimes as much as 20 cents per gallon off the price that most gasoline stations are selling their gas at. With locations on Lincoln Avenue, along Division, behind the Miller Auto Center, over near the St. Cloud Times, and in Waite Park near the Parkwood, there are enough locations that it's fairly convenient to utilize them when you need to. This is a great way to make your dollar go farther. If you don't have an account, you can still purchase gas here, just not at the reduced price.

In fact, I have only been to a handful of places that have been like that, and I do not go back. I cannot speak for the vehicle service aspect because I wouldn't trust them for that either. The food is meh, and I wouldn't suggest to any of my friends or family going through Pierz to stop there.

No diagnosis, no solution, just a complete waste of my time. And to top it off? They had the audacity to charge me for literally doing NOTHING. What's even more frustrating is that I was referred here by Tire Discount, which makes me question their recommendations altogether. I genuinely believe they just kept my car sitting in the back the whole time instead of actually checking it. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic customer service is absolutely baffling. This place clearly doesn't value its customers and seems perfectly fine with wasting people's time and money. If you're looking for a shop that actually does something for your car instead of just collecting your cash for no reason, stay far away from this place.

But now that I'm up here it's not really feasible to drive an hour south, drop off my car for a day or two, and figure out a ride back up here or renting a car. So I had to look for someone up here. Mike's Repair looked well reviewed so I took a chance on them. Turns out they are awesome too! I appreciated that when I called someone picked up right away in the evening and got me scheduled for first thing the next morning. Car was fixed the same day. Price was reasonable. A bit more than I'm used to, but I know the guy I used to go to was really giving me a sweetheart deal. I think Mike's gave me good value for the money I paid. I have 240k+ miles on this Civic of mine and it just keeps chugging along. So I'm sure I'll be back to Mike's as it needs more work. I'll definitely return!
