Don is great, I've used him on 3 occasions. He's punctual and gets right to it. I find his pricing fair and his work professional.

I have never been treated so disrespectfully by someone. He did some work for us...changing out gfi's etc. during an escrow. He was hired by the selling realtor. He was paid to fix it. We moved in today and half the power In the house immediately tripped. When speaking with him he knew there was a problem, but passed it off as complete anyway. He immediately hung up on me when I asked him to come out and fix it. DO NOT HIRE this man. read more

Had a wonderful experience with Don. We spoke to Don in the morning and he was able to perform the work that afternoon. Don did an excellent job and completed everything we asked. He even hardwired a floodlight for us above the garage. Would recommend to anyone needing an electrician. read more

Don is an excellent electrician with a lot of experience. He wired my hot tub for 230v (it can also run on 115v). Before the job started, he explained exactly why he needed to do it a certain way and pointed out several measures done with my safety in mind. At one point, I suggested an approach and he said he wasn't comfortable with my idea and explained the safety reasons he didn't like it. Personally, that's what I want from an electrician. Save me from my own folly! He even went out of his way to brainstorm with me about less expensive alternatives, but together we decided that the best value was to do the 230v connection. I got a bid from Don at D&L Electric to move some outlets. The bid was billed out for four hours of time. When Don came to actually do the job, he was one hour late to start off. I asked him how much time the job would take, and he said about one hour. I told him the original bid was bid out for four hours, so he would need let me know the actual price of the job. Don would not back down from the four hour charge for a one hour job. Then told me he could charge me hourly, but didn't know how much time it would take. He never settled on a price or time. I told him no thanks and sent him away. What a scam! read more

Second review- 11/22/14. Don came out and corrected much shoddy CL style work. Shame on me for stooping that low, but some time you got to do what you got to do. He replaced switches and outlets, problem solved lots of hard to get to wiring and made my place safe and sound. Hire Don, just try to give him a little lead time to make it to your job. read more

We used Don from D & L electric today to help us out with installing switches for our security lighting. Don was outstanding, he was on time, very pleasant, and he even helped us out with wiring for a ceiling fan that we didn't call him for. Don was so rude to my wife, that he lost the opportunity to gain our business. Gave her an attitude like it was a bother just to answer the phone. Wanted to set an appointment when we could both be home to hear what needed to be done, but it was too much of a hassle for him and his schedule. Hope other people have better luck with this company, but the first impression lost our business. read more

Despite their ad that offers free consultations and estimates, Don not only showed up an hour late to an appointment, he refused to give a bid telling me "I don't work unless I get paid". He was completely unprofessional and I would not recommend him to anyone! read more

It's hard to find someone honest, who knows their trade, goes above-and-beyond, and can come out the same day!! Called D & L to check a 220 outlet to make sure it was getting the proper power, and that's exactly what happened! Don came out the day I called, knew what he was doing, explained to this novice what was going on, AND took care of and explained some light fixture quirkiness that one experiences when they buy a new home. It was great to actually have someone not afraid to explain what they are doing to those who aren't as well versed especially with something like electricity. Finally...Don's a veteran, and I was honored that he shared some of his stories. I hope I don't have to call him for an emergency, but if I need an electrician...I am calling D & L! I needed to have a 220Volt box installed for a new oven/stove range I was replacing. I probably called near a dozen electricians. These guys were 1 of 2 that answered the phone. Don of D & L gave me an accurate idea of when he could be at my house, was efficient and quite friendly. I will certainly be calling D & L when I have electrical issues in the future. read more
