The potato soup was like chunky water. The macaroni noodles in the mac n' cheese were overcooked, same with the noodles in the beef and noodles. The vegetables tasted canned and soggy. The mashed potatoes were lumpy. The salad bar had very little toppings to choose from. The dessert was disappointing too; a very dry chocolate cake with not much flavour, topped with whipped cream. The cake crumbled as soon as my fork touched it and stuck to the roof of my mouth. Oh, and speaking of cutlery...my fiancés butter knife had a big splotch of old crusted food on it. Overall, the buffet at Ryan's Restaurant was not good and I would only recommend it to someone whose standards couldn't possibly get any lower. I would go as far to say that this buffet was worse than the Golden Corral buffet, which says a lot, because Golden Corral is bottom of the barrel food in terms of quality. The only decent thing about the buffet was the fried chicken, which still had no flavour but at least it was cooked well.

Friday night`s buffet the fish was way over done (battered, breaded and baked). Chicken what little bit was there burnt up (Ryan was more worried about his catering that he had than the customers in the restaurant getting food). Someone ordered onion rings and they came to their table almost black they were burnt up so much. Needless to say we will NOT be going back for quite a while. It doesn`t even deserve a one star. Certain things have been taken off the menu that should have been kept on there.

Stopped at Chief's in Wauseon and was pleasantly surprised to see their deli counter stocked full…read moreof goodies. From sliced meats, many cheeses, to freshly made pasta salads and fruit salads, my cart started filling up. I had a couple subs made at the counter since my hubs prefers a different cheese on his. The woman behind the counter could not have been nicer to fulfil my request. I would not have asked if there had been others in line so hubs was lucky this trip. They also had ready to eat items, stuffed cabbage (as my family calls pigs in the blanket), ribs, mac and cheese. Oh, I almost forgot, egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad. For some reason going in Chief's feels like stopping by to see a family friend or something. Since this covid uncertainty it is always assuring to smell the fresh popped popcorn when entering, then the smell of fruits, baked chicken, bakery items to name but a few. I so believe they have yummy smell scents piped throughout the store. Their meats are above average and I am picky when it comes to meat. From presentation to prices, Chief's is the place to go. They are offering mobile shopping now, however I have not used it since we enjoy going in and shopping.
