Food is awesome!!! Fish sandwich is killer and I come here every time that I fly into town!!!

I got a Chicken parm sandwich which was okay ? On the way home (Chippewa) I threw up about 6 times. Assuming the Chicken was bad tossed the other 1/2 away. The kicker was the sandwich was $15.00 ? Haven't updated prices lately on their online menu ?would never have paid that price ? Don't know if I will go back ? The pub chips tasted like they had been around for a long time ! Along side of a $15.00 sub you would have thought the would have been fresh ? The waitress was very nice ! The place seemed clean ! read more

It's hard to understand some of the negative reviews here. The food is good, the service is friendly, and maybe they get an order wrong once in a while. But it's a good place. They did put cheese on my fish sandwich (why does a fish sandwich even come with cheese in the first place?). But it was not the end of the world. First time I came here, the people on the take out side seemed a little aloof, but overall the service has been good on my last few visits to the bar/restaurant side. The pierogies are great (especially if the loaded pierogies are on the special), the fish sandwich is real good. The Italian sandwich is great. The pizza looks great, too - and if you're concerned about the cold toppings, that's a thing. Ohio Valley style. They didn't forget your pepperoni. They intentionally put it on after it's cooked. Give it a chance. It's good. And there are quite a few regulars in here. Definitely worth a try. read more

I've had D&G many times, but this time it was not very good. I asked for extra cheese, pepperoni and sausage. They took a slice of regular cheese pepperoni pizza and topped it with the sausage and put the extra cheese on top of the sausage. Instead of sauce, cheese, toppings. It was terrible. I also ordered the appetizer platter. Besides the fact that my onion rings were replaced by mozzarella sticks, two of the other items on the platter were burnt. Nothing really tasted good. I decided not to call to complain because when I called about my onion rings, I was only offered one option, to come back and get the missing item. Visiting from Nebraska and needed to grab a slice for the hubs to quench his lack of local pizza PA fare. Then, BOOM. I'm hit with unexpectedly delightful surprise of an enormous antipasto salad. I was so hungry I didn't take a photo, but did get shots of the slices (we were too full from the antipasto to eat). That salad will live on in my dreams! So crammed with meat, cheese and fresh greens--wow. Delish home made Italian dressing and a slice of toasted garlic bread to mess you up for days. I'm hooked and with the exceptional service, the NE football game on tv and the kindness of strangers. This place made us feel at home, it is amazing on all fronts. read more

Wonderful, old style pizza!! They were one of the original pizza places in the valley and still serving cold cheese topped pizza. The crust bottom is nice and crisp! Lots of seating and parking right at the door!! Eat in or take out you will enjoy pizza here. read more

This is a true 3.5 review, but I went with a 4 for all previous times we have had D and G. We love their pizza...get it...worth it! But we decided we wanted some wings to pick up on Sunday to watch some football. The wings had a great flavor and good ranch for dipping, ready when I picked up, but you have to get the same sauce for all dozen. I love to try to flavors. The pizza, if that is what you call frozen dough, was horrible. Toppings are put on after they pull the slices out of the oven so they are cold. Wait times are incredibly slow. So slow that I told them to just box it up to go. I ordered a Long Island not knowing what the price was but did expect it to be $14 in a place like this. Never going back!! I have found me my new favorite Pizza in America... Since arriving into town we have been looking for a new local Pizza place to replace our old long gone one, and D&G sure filled in for us. We ordered a bunch of different slices for the family and all three were amazing. I got the sausage and onion and was blown away, the sausage was finely ground packing a ton of flavor along with a little heat, the sauce was excellent and fresh and the crust was thick but light and just a little crispy on the bottom. Overall the pizza was excellent, the prices were good for what you got and the service was friendly and prompt. Hubby love the pizza. Because I am gluten free, he doesn't get it at home. But it is his fave spot to go when I don't feel like cooking. So this hurts me deeply. I have been here many times in the past several years. Here are some tips. The sandwiches are the best thing they have. Eat in dont take out. Dont get slices of pizza. That pizza has been out on the counter most of the day. If you get a whole pizza ask for it to be cooked completely the crust is thick so in the middle of the pizza it taste raw because they dont bake the yeast taste out of the dough. Dont get anything fried. Today I got wings and fries. I tried one fry. The seasoning they use could be good however they don't change the so the fries were black and they tasted something like the Simpson episode when Homer ate the baking soda. I tasted everything they fried in the past how many days. The people are nice. Take out os a no and fried food a big no. Try it. You will find out. I am honest. read more

This is by far the worst pizza sauce I've ever tasted. It's like an extremely chunky Mexican salsa. Never again.

Breadsticks are literally crust that was cooked so long that it's hard as a rock. There's nothing on them except a sprinkle of garlic salt. Pizza dough was stale like it's been sitting out all day. I think it was assembled by a 3rd grader. Not good. $40 for this and I could've gotten better pizza at the dollar general freezer aisle. read more

Average. Nothing special. Went to try their pizza. I guess a good pizza, by my standards, can't be found in western Pennsylvania.

We picked up a chicken quesadilla and 8 pieces of pizza and the total came to $27.. when the pizza is supposedly a little over a dollar a piece and the quesadilla supposedly 8.50, our total should have been no more than $19.00.... what did we get charged the extra $8-10 for? This is a review of basic courtesy from a bar perspective. We ordered some shots of crown royal peach, which runs $4-6 anywhere in the county. Well it's $10 here because apparently it's hard to find. I guess it doesn't matter that the bottle retails for the same price as any other flavor. D&G is my favorite pizza. Period. I assumed, wrongly, that it would be the same as what I grew up with in Beaver Falls. Wow was I wrong. We had a group of 8. We ordered 2 beers, 2 pops, 4 waters, 2 orders of nacho chips and 25 slices. It took us over an hour to receive our pizza. Absolutely ridiculous. This place used to be one of my favorite pizza places but the service has gotten so bad and the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. Called in a to go, She answered the phone "hello". I had to ask if it was D&G. I thought I had the wrong number. Give her the order, and she said 20/25 minutes, 55minutes later, finally have our food. Twelve pieces of pizza and a dozen wings $44!! WTH? A shot at the bar is $10 for a liquor thats $25 a bottle? Love the pizza, but sadly, we might have to stop going here. This hurts me to post. Been eating D&G pizza for over 40 years, usually in BF. Even worked there as a kid. Traveled back up here from Florida and staying with my mom in center. Called yesterday at 6:45pm and asked the lady what time they closed. She said they stop serving pizza at 8. I said ok, I'm on my way. Arrive at 7:05pm and doors are locked and they are cleaning up. I called from the front door and asked what the heck? Guy said, we weren't busy and we decided to close early. I said I just spoke to the lady. He turned to ask her if they still had pizza and she said no. Ok cool that was one strike. Look up times to and website says 11am. I go over at 12:15 and door says hours are 12-8. I was out here on business . Stayed at the hotel next door . The woman at the front desk recommended it . I went in and orders 2 slices of pepperoni and French fries . I also got a bottle of beer . The pizza was very unique to me . Almost a Sicilian style but with a very crispy crust . However the inside of the crust was very soft . They were loaded with pepperoni . I maybe had that meh so so predisposition. But let me tell you. It's the same pizza, but fresh, nicely presented and much better. The place has a kinda fancy feel to it. After eating pizza in Beaver County for well over a year now, one thing has become evident: most of the pizzas are the same. Square, thick, crunchy, tart sauce, loads of toppings-- D&G is certainly no anomaly in this region. The pizza cuts Kay and I had here yesterday (pizza is only sold by the slice at 85 cents a cut!) in this shopping center parlor were from a savory, Italian sheet cake, not a pie. The bacon, black olives, and cheese were heaped bountifully upon the snapping red sauce, and the foundation of each portion cracked under the pressure my jaws applied to them, making a sound not unlike that of a bear walking on fallen tree branches. Also devoured was an oven-toasted American Sub (8 inches of ham, salami, bologna, provolone cheese, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise) and a serving of their Loaded Potatoes (redskin home fries buried in cheddar, sour cream, and bacon). The American Sub was somewhat meager in protein (a common affliction with grinders around here these days), but the Loaded Potatoes were a terrific exercise in spudly excess as well as an interesting twist on tater skins. The shredded bacon was superlative on both the potatoes and on our pizza. As we munched on our late lunch, a trio of teenage boys played some sort of collectible card game a la Magic: The Gathering or Pokemon, quoting Star Wars all the while and reminding me of my own geeky adolescent stint with Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. Ah, the Saturday afternoons I spent with my wacky mates on that. RIP Gary Gygax. P.S. I don't know if this D&G has the same menu as the one in Beaver Falls. read more

Being first time customer and not knowing how the service or how big be the pizza's or made she seemed upset that we were asking her. Once she explained that the pizzas a 4"x4" pan style he said he wanted several toppings and she told us that you can only put 1 to 3 toppings so my buddy tells me that he would pay for the extra toppings and she tells us " your not going to like it because it will be to thick" in my head is she going to eat it or are we. So she kept insisting only 3 toppings you buddy and I just told her we will be going to Mario's Wood fired Pizza place as you can add as many toppings as you would like and they have a great customer service!! I will be telling coworkers and friends that due to there bad customer service I will never know if there pizza's were delicious or not. read more
