Great donut shop on Belcher. The staff was super friendly. We got 2 maple bacon donuts and a chocolate glaze. Both were amazing. My only complaint is the paper bags that mess up the glaze. Otherwise, we will get return. I am hoping to try the kolaches and many more donuts. read more

We were in the area looking for a coffee shop, ended up here. 5 minutes later we walked out with a coffee and a half dozen donuts. First the coffee was fresh and really good. We bought 2glazed, 1 chocolate iced, white iced, maple iced and a long John. Every single one was soft & airy, the long John was custard filled, we really like that they don't fill them until you order, there were 3 or 4 different fillings to choose from. Service is very good and friendly. Attentive staff. Very clean. One thing I noticed was one of the staff had a baseball cap that said whatever on it. To me that tells me you don't care. Maybe it's me but it was not a positive message A nice variety of pastries. The one pastry item I will give 5 stars is the almond biscotti mini cheesecake. It is outstanding. The flavors all blend together. The texture is smooth and delightful. Traveling around the world and eating at different pastry establishments, this is a bit commercial and not a refined bakery. Croissants should be petite and the donuts are much too big. My ham & cheese quiche was salty, a bit dry, ham was a slice of deli ham not chopped mixed throughout which I found. Not sure how it was heated but if in the microwave it makes sense of the texture vero heated in the oven. If dining inside, I would prefer my cappuccino in a ceramic cup versus a cardboard cup. The affordable prices made my wallet and heart happy. A half dozen huge donuts, a blueberry muffin, and a small coffee came out to around 8 bucks. I could have easily spent more at a local doughnut shop close around where I live on just the doughnuts alone. The items were fresh and enjoyed to the fullest. Another good find! Flying solo this morning as wifie is working and I am on my way to run some errands I had the craving for donuts. The place I used to go to stopped selling donuts to focus more or the fancy bakery items. So I remembered passing this place multiple times. I finally stopped in to grab a quick to go and I'm glad I did. First, this place is located in the plaza strip right off Belcher road. You won't miss the store name "D&E Donuts". As I sat here writing this review, I have noticed the traffic volume is constant. This means what the shop has to offer are good. Could be all the locals' breakfast spot. As you go in, it's a small quiet space with some seating area. Right in front as you walk in is the display case with all the goodies. On to the goodies. The donuts are fresh. It does not have that stale appearance Iike they have been sitting in the display case for hours. It is soft, light and fluffy, but when you bite into it, you get auth full of goodness. I also ordered donut holes and let me tell you, I am popping those things in my mouth like a baseball player popping sunflower seeds in thieve mouth. I found a new donut place that is close by. I can honestly say that this taste better than those big donut shops that's been around for many many years. The company I used to work for a while back for 10 years, but that companies quality and service has gone down the drain. With that being said, the place is operated by a couple whom are very quick to get your order packed and ready to go. They are friendly and patiently waits while you look over the selection. The donuts has an excellent taste, flavorful but not too sweet. With all of the Dunkin Donuts locations, I really wanted something a little more local - which is exactly what I found here. This place is nestled in a shopping center off Belcher and, when you walk inside, it is very pleasant and the donut display is both enticing and inviting. The prices are very reasonable especially considering how HUGE the donuts are. I mean, they are bigger than the ones you would get at most other places and their variety is also just as good. I had ordered a half dozen donuts and their breakfast special which comes with a coffee, breakfast sandwich of your choice, and a donut (I got the maple bacon one). Everything was delicious. The coffee was hot and fresh, the donuts were soft and yummy, and the breakfast sandwich was also hot and yummy. With everything, it came out to around $11. Used to be our favorite, especially when we had guests in town, well worth the drive from Clearwater Beach. Great selections, great prices and great donuts. However...after multiple recent visits, the selection was very bare, and when we asked, said they were selling fast, which we had never experienced in any previous visits over several years. Now early in the morning, very limited selection? Several recent visits? Response seemed like more of an excuse than the truth, sounded (and looked) more like they were making significant cuts to reduce waste. And...costs seemed to nearly double. May be simply a small business trying to stay afloat, which would be unfortunate, but understandable. Raising costs and reducing inventory while unfortunate, could be reality. What is never acceptable is not telling the truth. Hope they were being truthful and running out early coincidentally each time I came on my recent visits, and not otherwise. And guess they were forced to raise their prices to stay in business. We have made our last visit. read more

Came here after work around 4:30 Smaller shop and the case was empty since they were closing soon. They did have different muffins to choose from. They make their donuts fresh because they said you have to get there earlier if you want a donut. So stinks they didn't have any but its a good sign in my book! These jelly filled donuts were amazing. A friend turned me onto to this place and I'm glad he did, my first purchase was a blueberry filling and a strawberry filling. What amazed me was that you order the donut then they ask you what filling you want. I recently moved from California to Clearwater a few years ago and we had a similar donut shop where we lived and frequented it often however the California donut shop came with jelly and a light glaze. The D&E donut shop actually fills the donuts with the filling once you choose. I've never seen such a way as D&E does their donuts. I was extremely happy to see that this place does not skimp on filling. I'm sure many of you reading this have purchased in the past a Kelly filled donut where you have more dough than filling, well this is the opposite at this D&E donuts. There is plenty of filling in these donuts to meet the amount of dough. Every bite from start to finish you will have this delicious filling along with just the right amount of dough. When you go inside they greeted you with a big smile and asked for your order. 2 jelly donuts and 2 chocolate with rainbow sprinkles... normally when you go to get donuts you think of Dunkin' and they just put it in the box for you but here they asked you what filling out of strawberry, raspberry or grape, I chose strawberry and they filled up the donut in front of you!
