They drained my pool and did an acid wash, charged me over $300 for "startup chemicals" and assured me the pool would be clean for my tenants but they knew all along that they were going out of business so they stopped sending the pictures with the weekly status reports and started ghosting me when I inquired about why I haven't been receiving the pictures and of course no reply! Against my better judgment and as a gesture of good faith, I prepaid my pool service from September until February so I didn't have to deal with very unreasonable tenants. To my surprise, Johhny and Trinity did not refund the remainder of my prepayment and lied to the new contractor Desi at Pool Medic who to my surprise tried to get me to pay for Dec & January pool service . They seemed like honorable people, but I can't warn you enough to stay away from these people if they ever get back into the pool business again. They ghosted me and then claimed they didn't sell their business to another vendor and to my surprise I got a bill for services that were already prepaid from Pool Medic. Johhny assured me he would send me receipts of the credits to my credit cards but as of today that never happened. Nevada law says 10% upfront only and every time they did work for me they wanted 100% upfront. What a disappointment and betrayal of trust! Karma will get these two!

The pool smart team gave me practical advice on how to do the repair economically, and was even cool with me shopping for parts online. No upsell or up charge pressure at all! It turned out to be a really complicated replacement, due to a lot of difficult job site conditions that weren't expected at the beginning of the job. Which was on a Saturday, believe it or not. Ben With Kohl's rest was the only company I can find. That would meet me on my time window. We had an appointment at 2:30 he got there at 2:15 and sat in his truck till our appointment time. Watching from a ring doorbell. I felt bad and told him we could start earlier if he was able to. I only bring this up. Because the last 3 companies I had. One company showed 45 minutes late. Now he did call when he was 20 minutes past the hour. The other one showed up on the wrong day and blamed it on me. And the third one straight up, no showed which I'll be writing a review about that company as well. As far as the bill process, it was very smooth. The only problem that we had was that we didn't read the packet that was provided. That gave instructions on how to do certain things like watering the concrete. i think that's what it's a called . So we had to keep calling Ben to give us the answers that had been sitting in front of us the whole entire time. Other than that, our overall experience was fantastic. The tech couldnt explain the issue and said the owner would explain it. The owner said the heater is not igniting [incorrect] and they will need to do a process of elimination to figure out why. [not a very helpful diagnostic]. The follow-up was to spend $700 on multiple parts since there was not a solid diagnosis. Another service came out, immediately diagnosed the core issue, replaced the corroded part and heater has been working properly. I feel like it was a waste of $150 for the diagnostic.

Payne clearly told me they only service in ground pools and spas only after you "inspected " and took the fee.
