(Oye vay, our house had needed a lot of work, so we did the inside, and landscaping first.. while the roof waited patiently) This month we FINALLY scheduled to have our - very old, badly maintained, bondoed.. duct taped.. (from WAY back) ..mess of a flat roof ... TOTALLY FIXED! We interviewed 3 companies and went with VANDERHOOF. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we have made since moving to the area. Vanderhoof came in with a swat team of capable roofers, and worked like a band of Army Engineers. They tore off DECADES of badly done roof work, layer after layer after layer. (What a mess of construction debris!) At the end of every work day, they left our yard immaculate. Then they built, and built, and restructured, and redesigned. (Flat roofs need expert attention). The work took a bit longer than they estimated due to the amazing number of layers to be removed, and their painstaking rebuilding process - but the Syracuse weather cooperated *(!!) and the work finished yesterday and it looks fantastic! (Photo shows NEW SPECTACULAR FLAT ROOF! Later I'll dig out the original roof.. it looked like a moonscape of bulbous waves and misguided historic attempts to mesh a labyrinth of disconnected ill selected materials. (We inherited it in 2016. ) I can't recommend Vanderhoof highly enough.

Once the proposal is accepted, they email a link with no other terms than 29% Carrier Card, and the customer is misled to look into the application for other terms, and this is false. The customer is finishing with a hard inquiry on his/her credit, lowering his/her credit score, and a Wellsfargo $xx,xxx new credit which definatly increases the DTI ratio. In other words, Potter HVAV is messing the credit of good people.... Be aware of it.

After seeing the quality of their work in our neighborhood and meeting with the company's sales rep, hiring SOS roofing for the job was an easy decision. The sales rep was very quick to set up a visit after we initially contacted the company. While at our house, he thoroughly explained what needed to be done as part of our roof replacement, the materials that would be used, the steps of the job, and the warranty of the materials & workmanship. He then provided us with all of the shingle options along with his recommendations and gave us a fair estimate. Shortly after we contacted the SOS Roofing office manager to accept the estimate and give our material decisions, we were given a date for the job. A dumpster and all the materials arrived the day before the job started. The roofing crew who performed our roof replacement were outstanding! They worked incredibly hard and meticulously to complete the job to our satisfaction. Throughout much of the job, a foreman was present to support the crew and answer all of our questions. The day after the completion of our job, the dumpster was hauled away and the owner came out to do a final job inspection. He was very thorough in looking over the whole job and immediately addressing any concerns we had. While there, we both came to the conclusion that a 70' gutter on the back of our house needed to be replaced! While he didn't come to our house expecting to complete this added step, he took the time to take care of it because he was motivated to get it done right away! It was very obvious to us how much pride the owner has in his company and how important customer satisfaction is to him. It was a real pleasure working with the entire SOS Roofing team. They show you a crazy high price, but then "a just for you" price that is much less...IF you give them a bank check or cash deposit When you decline, they call in for a better price. When told that we will not be pressured, they assume it's the price, not the bad practice. I had to scream at him to finally live my home. NO means NO! This a.m. got a fresh estimate for 1/3 the original estimate...NO! It was like Dr. Suese "Green Eggs and Ham...I would not like you carpet in a box, I would not like it with a Fox! Stay away from them.
