Ed has always done great work on any car I've sent him and I've banged up quite a few...

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER- you know how when you go to management classes, you always are asked…read moreto tell a time you received poor customer service? Well, this will probably be my go to story forever. When I stopped by to sign the paperwork to authorize west york collision to do the work on my vehicle after it was involved in the accident, I was told it should be ready to pick up in three weeks. Over two months later when I arrived to pick up my car, the manager- Brad Pritz came out to the entryway and asked me if I had brought my license plate with me. (also. when they called to tell me my car was ready to be picked up, they did not tell me my license plate was missing and I took off work early to pick up my car) I asked him why he was under the impression that I had the license plate and he told me when my car arrived, it did not have a license plate. I pointed out my car had been towed directly there from the place it broke down so it did, indeed, have a license plate on when it arrived. He told me I was wrong (btw, I was not wrong- the car was towed directly to their shop from the streets) and he didn't like my attitude and he was trying to help. I was walking out of the building to call my insurance company and tell them my license plate was lost . As I was walking out, he asked me if I wanted him to write my license plate number on a piece of paper. I stopped in the doorway to answer him and he told me to close the door. Now, it might be childish but I do like when people use their manners. Close the door, please. I continued to walk out at that point because he was horrible and I'll admit, after two months of going back and forth and back and forth with the insurance company and the rental car company (who I adored btw- I highly recommend Enterprise on S. Queen St) and the "service partner" (aka Toyota of York), I was frustrated and exhausted and needed to walk away to calm myself down. He followed me out and asked if I wanted his help or not (by writing my license plate number on a piece of paper NOT trying to help me find my missing license plate)... I called my insurance company trying to find out what I could do at that point. I went back in and he once again told me I had an attitude from the time I walked in and then proceeded to tell me if I was in customer service I must be terrible at my job because I had a bad attitude. He blamed me, toyota of york, the salvage yard. Everyone but them- he refused to take any responsibility for anything- not the delay in getting my car back (after all, he had to get the parts), not the missing license plate (he told me in 30 years he's never lost a plate), none of it was his fault. At this point he said "just pay your deductible and shoo"... also. I tried to pay my deductible and the computer Christa was at wasn't set up to accept tap... Now, once he told me to "Shoo" I told him to F off. My bad for losing my cool but this man is a legend at gaslighting and had pushed all of my buttons. Apparently "Mr. I believe in Truth, Justice and the American way" (per his profile on their website) doesn't approve of ladies using "bad" words and said "nice mouth." At that point, he had me so upset I was shaking and could barely sign my name. Mr. Pritz should stick to searching for big foot and should get out of customer service because he was an absolute horror. Oh and if you are wondering, he said all of this to me after my insurance company paid them $25,000 to fix my van. One small other annoyance from my awful experience there. They call with "updates" about once a week. Updates would be great. But when you call and say "the car is with our service partner" three weeks in a row and can't provide any additional information, that's not really an update. It's 2024. I know where my car is (I have an app for that). If you're calling with updates, please have some information for me.
