Brought my fox body here for a simple dyno tune, was quoted 800.00 which I thought was a little high. Ended up with a phone call around 2 months later for around 1,900.00. Dave couldn't get the tune to flash, so he ordered a bunch of "better chips he said". Couldn't get them to flash either. All of a he told me "his software to burn was outdated". So he inflated my bill to cover his update fee's. Not my problem. Also installed a 80.00 fuel pump and charged over 400 for that in addition. I installed a brand new AEM wideband o2 on it and when I picked up car, I noticed it didn't work. He told me the car was running super lean and even did a few pulls lean and sent me vids of it. When I got my car back the o2 didn't work. I pulled out the oxygen sensor and it was melted! OUCH! He denied being responsible for it and said it didn't work when it showed up! It did because I did a facebook live video of me unloading and showing my interior and the gauges working. He requested pics of sensor and I sent them and then he just denied it. He had my car for a few months when I was told it would just take a week or less. I got my car back on my lift at my shop and noticed the gas tank straps were super loose and not tightened up at all. Litereally the bolts were just threaded in a few turns. I told him about it, he laughed and said, "well atleast you know we did change the fuel pump". He also kept my K&N breather and fuel pump, I had to prod him to get him to mail it back to me as it was "supposed to be in the trunk in a box". He also almost caught my car on fire on a dyno pull. He did a pull in front of me and the oil dipstick blew out, which never happened before and the oil sprayed all over the headers and it went up in smoke right in front of me on a video. I have the video if anybody needs to see it. I confronted him about the price inflation and he came down on the price a little bit. He must have thought I was some kind of stupid and blind to see his price hike. We are currently working with an attorney for how much more the bill was over the estimated price. read more

First time customer and would definitely go back. Dave was great! Knowledgeable and helpful, provided great service at a great price. One of the only honest and reasonably priced auto repair shops left. Dave, the owner of this shop, will actually show you the broken part/parts or take time to explain what is wrong with your vehicle. He even calls you back after a few weeks to see if you're satisfied with the work that was done. They do quality work in this garage and you never leave feeling ripped off. My German car broke down in this small town. I am from out of state and was passing through. From the start, they kept me in the loop with everything and actually said that some services weren't necessary at all. D & D really did a great job of making me feel comfortable while most other companies do all they can to take advantage of you. That's just not the case here. I found Dave about a year ago when searching for shops to fix my transmission most shops wouldnt even touch my highly modified vehical however Dave knew exactly what he was doing and I have very satisfied with his work. Recently I moved away from the area and took my car to a differnt shop, only to regret it when they made my car worse. Since then anytime I need a repair I drive 2 hours to take it to Dave. Not only does he have fair pricing but he is extremely knowlagable when it comes to any kind of vehical repairs even when working on my highly modified foreign. As a navy reservist, I do a lot of driving. After driving from TX to WI, I wanted to be sure my car was still ready for many more miles. I took my vehicle to D & D because it was recommended to me and I have never been happier. All of the staff are great and the vehicle check was thorough and timely. I needed a new starter motor in my old pickup and D&D replaced it for a reasonable price very quickly. They also inspected the entire vehicle and pointed out several things should be replaced. On another occasion, they pointed out that my car's frame had rusted completely through in spots and was unsafe to drive. Instead of squeezing $2000 in repairs out of me, they gave me an honest opinion and said they'd do it if I really love the truck, but also pointed out that the 25 year old truck was hardly worth putting that much money into (good point), and didn't charge me for the inspection. read more

I've been working with Dave at D and D for several years. I've always been very impressed with the work and the commitment I've seen from him and his shop. I honestly can't understand the poor reviews he's gotten here. I've been at Dave's shop and seen him bend over backwards to make sure a customer is treated fairly. Once, I saw him reject rebuilding an engine and told the customer to take it back to the dealer as it was a known issue and would be covered under a recall. D & D Auto is awesome. I've had work done here, my fiance has, my sister has, my parents have, and I've even sent many of my client's and friends there. One of our friends saved ~$2500 after one shop told her she needed a new engine. My fiance told her to talk to Dave, long story short she had her car back and fixed that day for ~$400. I wouldn't trust my car or the car of anyone I know to anyone else. Dave is the rainman of cars and the knowledge difference between him and your average shop is immediately apparent. read more

As a college student who lives far away from her dad who does all of her car maintenance I was nervous to take my car in when it needed to get fixed. Dave and his crew have done a wonderful job working on my VW (which not many places do). When there were major repairs he even called my father to explain what was going on, so him and I could make the right decision. I would recommend EVERYONE to come to D&D. The best recommendation I can give D and D is that they fixed my car!! The first place I took my Volvo (145K miles) told me I should have it towed to the dealer in Appleton. I got a recommendation from someone I trust for D and D to fix Volvos. The repair was extensive due to wear and tear and salt damage, but it probably now has another 100K or more miles possible. I take all our vehicles here as the dealerships are all bad and do shody work for more money also had the dealer on our chevy Cruse strip the oil drain plug and Dave had to fix it he's the only guy to even touch my 2014 Challenger any bad review you read here is bull I would challenge the reality of the compaint.someone is out to get Dave for some reason, probably jealous,like a barstool bike mechanic. read more
