I reached out to a few places for a quote on hanging a barn door in our nursery & AMA was one of the first to respond. They offered a quick turnaround & a great price. They also support the troops & gave me a Veteran discount (which is very cool). Anthony was timely, polite & did an expert job on my project. In fact, he did such an excellent job that I reached out the next day to ask him to put together two desks I purchased for my office. Again, the response was quick & the job he did was second to none. I am happy that I have found someone who I can rely on, trust & who is willing to work with you on pricing. Thank you for the great jobs you did on my home & you can guarantee I will be reaching out soon!

SCAM WARNING -- DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON If I could give…read moreZERO stars, I absolutely would. I trusted Anthony with a $4,000 payment for a small project -- and he flat-out stole the money. He later admitted he had already spent it on his personal bills, saying he "didn't have it anymore," and even tried to guilt me with excuses about having kids. When I asked for a refund after deciding not to move forward with him, he ignored every message, stopped responding, and blocked me. No work was ever started, and no refund was ever issued. This is fraud, plain and simple. Anthony is a scammer who takes people's money and disappears. Avoid this person at all costs -- don't fall for the same trap.

Every experience has been outstanding. He responds quickly, communicates well, and is always professional and courteous. His pricing is very fair and affordable, and the quality of his work is excellent. It's clear that he's knowledgeable, experienced, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time. One of the things I appreciate most is his customer service. He's approachable, patient, and always willing to answer any questions or explain the work being done. It's hard to find someone who is honest, dependable, skilled, and genuinely cares about his customers. If you're looking for a trustworthy handyman for electrical, plumbing, or other home repairs, I highly recommend DonEvan with Like A Son Handyman Services. I'll definitely continue using his services and confidently recommend him to family and friends.

Garry can verify how poor of a job was done. It took him 3 visits to get the bed sturdy enough to sleep in again with extra wood and brackets doing the trick. He also cut and installed baseboards to replace the ones missing after the Murphy bed was removed from the other master suite. Pricing was fair, Garry only takes cash so keep that under consideration. I hired him off of Yelp based on his reviews and I would hire him again. Recommended!!

Ordered a French door from Home Depot and had it delivered, the description said prehung but door came in three separate cartons. Needless to say it was not prehung as described, G had to router out hinges, drill out holes on each door for handles, then precisely put the frame together and assembly the doors. Was amazed of the experience and how methodical G worked to complete the job. He even left and opening above the door so that we could add a transom to allow more light into that area. The outlets and light switch on one wall appeared to be out, and I couldn't figure out why. The…read morebreaker box showed nothing had been tripped. I also checked the outlets that I knew had GFCI switches on them, and none of them had tripped either. So I called Thompson Electric for help after seeing all the great reviews. After describing the problem, he immediately suspected it might be a simple fix and offered advice for things to check. This was already a refreshing change because the last electrician I called a few years ago came to my house, pushed a button to fix the problem, then charged $80 for it. This guy could have made an easy visitation fee, but instead chose to save me money by walking me through troubleshooting steps. I eventually discovered a GFCI switch that I didn't know existed, and sure enough, it had been tripped. Pressing the reset button restored power to the entire wall, just as he had suspected. Even though I ended up not needing to hire this company, they were still responsible for fixing my problem. I appreciate the honesty exhibited here and am definitely adding them to my contact list for the next time I need an electrician.

Richard and his assistant, Emma, were professional, personable, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. First, they determined that the Ring Floodlight Camera was defective. Then, they took the time to troubleshoot and identified that a faulty transformer was causing our Ring doorbell to malfunction. After replacing the transformer, they discovered that our Ring doorbell was also defective. They replaced both devices, and now everything is working properly. Their pricing was reasonable, and the quality of their work exceeded my expectations. It's refreshing to find a company that is honest, reliable, punctual, and truly cares about providing excellent customer service.
