I haven't had any major repair work done here, but the brake jobs and electrical work was done professionally and they even let me supply my own parts. But it's tough to get an appointment. I guess with a good reputation, business is always good. Having been burned by some of the larger franchises, I think I'm going to be patient and schedule with Wallick's from now on.

Then the owner gave me a great referral to another very honest shop. Anytime an estimate has ended up being higher is when other issues were discovered during the repair. That's normal and expected, and no way possible to anticipate and estimate over the phone. I question the brake line review as I was a boy once and I raised three of them... I'm guessing there may have been a bit of a communication breakdown somewhere and I suspect it was between his ears. I'm guessing it was more an issue of him not understanding everything. My recommendation is: a) bring your problem to Brian, b) have him look at it, diagnose it, and then give you repair options/prices, c) have him fix it.

However, I will say that despite the anger and frustration I experienced with my vehicles inadequacies I was never let down by Jacks. In fact by the 2nd 3rd tow within that short amount of time I was actually looking forward to getting my car towed lol. Hell we were family at that point. I have a 2016 Kia with 320k and a 01 Corolla with 171k and they've both been towed lol. Kia Soul 2016, June 10th 2023 June 27th 2023 June 28th 2023 Toyota Corolla 2001, July 3rd 2023 July 6th 2023.... and to be fair I only have one tow left on my insurance police before I have to pay out of pocket. Thank god they only charge $4 per extra mile, because there's been times that I've gone over my allotted 20 miles, and thats extremely reasonable considering a gallon of gas is almost that and you're not even towing anything I can't remember the positive to negative review ratio is, but I will say this... I've used Jacks 5 times in less than a month, and I felt like I made a family. A family I want to serve and help serve the community. Now I won't sit here and be dismissive of any previous reviews or services that they felt they didn't get the level of service they expect. Well... Jack's is so amazing that I'm actually applying today. To help serve people in need, like I had been this past month, and if I'm lucky I can tell my current employer that I wont be accepting their minimal wage and attitude. Because I'll be at Jack's helping people in need, with kindness compassion integrity and enthusiasm. Thank you for all you've done guys and gals I look forward to my interview and whatever the outcome the service was still 5 star top notch. They treated my Kia/Corolla like a Audi. Once again thank you for all you've done and I can only hope to be apart of helping the community too.

I told them exactly what was wrong (timing belt component) and still wanted to charge me a diagnosis fee. I agreed but wasn't happy. They called me and said they wanted to take the oil pan off to make sure, but if they were wrong, they would pay for it. This wasted two days. It was a timing component as I told them; I used my stethoscope to hear it. They wasted time. Then they told me they ordered the wrong parts and would charge me $200 more because the part kit was more expensive. Then this last week, I lost two days because their employees called off. So I had to wait even longer. They also charged me for a serpentine belt, which I replaced a year or two ago and should have been fine. I did not consent to this. I told them it was recently replaced and had a warranty. My original price was under $1,500. Now they're charging me $1,900. They gave me a miniscule discount, but it should have been the original price, not the discounted price they tried to give me at $1,800. They were nice in person, but they lack customer service skills. Instead of excuses, how about more customer service if you want any customers at all? As a minor inconvenience, they also forgot to put my oil sticker in the window.

They didn't call and tell me the price had changed until the fix was done. They also called at 4:30 PM to tell me the car was ready and that if I payed by card they would add a 2.5% fee. So I had less than half an hour and no car to try to somehow get over $900 in cash or pay an extra $25. Really felt like they were trying to make a buck there. If they had told me when I called to make the appointment or two days later, when I dropped it off, I wouldn't have batted an eye. But to do it with so little time was really irritating. I also told them that I don't use my air conditioner and wasn't worried that it wasn't working when they said they found it was out of Freon. They filled it with Freon anyway and charged me $40 for it. I won't be back.
