It's 1am in the morning, I go on Google and find a 24/7 hotline for tow trucks. They answered, I paid $250 straight away and they said it will be there in 30-40mins. After waiting OVER an hour I call them back and ask for an update with my tow truck and just then tell me that the tow truck broke down. After waiting longer than their expected time, they never called back to let me know. I'm extremely upset and exhausted. As I just start crying and canceled that service, I scroll through Yelp this time to search for a tow truck. First one I saw was Rex Towing. I call hoping I can get an answer and thankfully they did immediately. After getting my location and other information, they accept the job and even asked if I was "okay" since I'm pretty they could hear I was upset over the phone. Luckily, the driver was literally less than 10 mins away. Once he arrived and came out to greet me, he also reassured me and told me that "everything is gonna be alright". Franco was very kind and I was thankful that he was able to assist me.

Y'all need to create a better process for scheduling new customers and train staff on better…read morecustomer service because if I wasn't so patient and my situation wasn't urgent (or "not a priority" like staff told me), then your responses could really adversely affect those in crisis. I resold a vehicle through Peddle and was paired up with Roy's to handle the tow and payment issuance. The platform makes the initial process relatively easy and you're able to select a date and various scheduling time blocks with me choosing 11am-3pm. I felt the staff was initially pretty responsive but comms became spotty or even borderline rude as my appointment time drew closer and closer. I understand that emergencies come up but I didn't like being given vague or different etas whenever I followed up or having staff overpromise time availability only to be told later that they would no longer be able to come by until after 10pm. This is on top of already having a designated time slot that they should've adhered to or even rejected to begin with. Because my storage unit was not open past 10pm but I still needed to move my vehicle out that week, I decided to reschedule to the next morning. This is in addition to me having to drive from the OC on both days! Though I still experienced a small delay at first, the actual tow itself was pretty standard and the driver was transparent about where the vehicle was being taken to. My overall impression was that staff may be inclined to be more attentive if you were in a severely critical situation but I had a pretty frustrating experience given them being short-handed and not communicating consistently/reliably which led to loss of trust and affected duty of care.
