My mom stayed in a cabin by herself but couldn't shower nor bathe because there were no handrails. The toilet had no assistance bars. My sister's husband is an amputee and their bathroom was just like my mom's. My family (husband/children/grandchildren) stayed in a large 8 bedroom/8.5 bathroom cabin and there was 1 toilet in that entire 7,500 sq ft cabin with disability accommodations and that was only a toilet. 2-Entire resort is full of roots disabling people who struggle to walk. There are absolutely no smooth walkways whatsoever for guests to transition from the road or their golf carts to the cabins. 3-There are no wheelchair accessible ramps anywhere on the grounds. 4-There are no listings on the website, which is the method most people use, for disabled people to identify whether or not this resort is a good fit based off of the cabin descriptions and there are over 30 cabins! We fished at the ponds and at the reservoir. On Thursday we went to the pool, I have 2 kids and they are black(we adopted even though that doesn't matter) . A huge family came with at least 10 kids. My daughter asked if she could play with them they just looked at her. She still tried to play she's 8, they completely ignored her. Later my kids were kayaking the girls asked to borrow my daughters paddle, of course she gave it to them and they left her stranded. I am a paraplegic(again not that it matters) but I'm 120 lbs In a wheelchair. I couldn't take it anymore so I confronted them. I was then surrounded by at least 15 people, I pushed some older guy that kept coming at me, to say I was scared is a understatement. Needless to say we left tonight and will never go back!! The tv remote pictured is not the remote for the tv and the tv can't be powered or controlled manually. The batteries looked like the very first pair made, lol. The elevators were still broken. The pool was mostly the shining light. There were friendly people there. The only major hiccup was the kitchen. My son and I were the second party seated at 615p. It wasn't until we received our drinks that we were informed that the kitchen was in the process of catering for a wedding. While attempting to leave, the waitress said she'd check to see how long it would be before we could order. She then tells us we could order entrees in ten minutes but she could take an appetizer order. It's now 640p. We have not received our appetizer, and we haven't been asked our order. I then overhear our waitress receiving the full order of a party that arrived sometime after we did. I guess it helped that the party was wearing shirts associated with the golfing tournament.

The front desk person was quite literally rude and has a superiority complex. They put 3 couples in 3 different areas of the grounds. (Had to drive to get there) The blessing of this entire trip is Brandy! She is so sweet and gives great customer service.... I hope the new owners reward her! Room was hot so I wish they would have come down when I called ahead 90 minutes earlier to turn on the a/c unit. That would have been a nice touch. The bathroom was clean-ish. Clean enough for me and I'm a germophobe. Someone's open shampoo was left in the shower and they also left the Jimmy Dean Breakfast sandwiches in the freezer. No big deal. I wiped down all of the surfaces due to covid and the wipes were clean .....almost no dust. We are traveling back home to the New Orleans area after evacuating from Hurricane Ida and couldn't find a room anywhere else. This motel is off the beaten path but really amazing for the price! Bed is super comfortable....I would suggest a bit more thorough for the housekeeping but overall I still give it a high rating! The website dies say that there is breakfast available but I'm not so sure where it would be. No kitchen or dining room that I am aware of but then again......I am still giving a great rating! I do have to admit that I watch Hotel Impossible and could be a little judgmental. Yall still have my love! Thank you for making our stay on our way back to our home possible.

Everyone loved the Rustic atmosphere. The kitchen is roomy, with a large dining area & family den where everyone could gather and visit. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen bed (the grandmothers took that one), one with four twin beds and a bunk bed, so six family members could comfortably sleep there. There is also a large bathroom with big mirrors & two sinks, so everyone could get ready for our event. Upstairs has a long dormitory style room with six twin beds & a couch. There is also a large closet, bathroom, and washer & dryer. The place was perfect! Our family from Missouri, Illinois, Texas & South Africa was enchanted with the tall pine trees, the friendly cats, dogs, and horses on the property. You just need to bring food if you plan to cook in the cabin, and toiletries, as none are provided. Don't forget salt & pepper like we did, but if you do, there is a convenience store at FM1275 & Loop 224 that has everything!

One thing I love about this place is it's less than 10 minutes from Lake Naconiche. (That lake is a bass fisherman's dream) This place has great cabins and numerous RV spots. There's also a nice pond (mini-lake actually) on the premises where you can fish, kayak, and swim. It's stocked with Largemouth, Crappie, Bluegill and Catfish. It's a strict C&R pond. The cabin we stayed in will house a small family comfortably. The cabins come with fully functioning kitchens (with dishes and cookware) and are kept cool in the summer with multiple air conditioners. Renee (one of the owners) is always available to answer questions or provide you with help to insure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. If you're looking to getaway for the weekend, this is the place to stay. You'll enjoy the comfort and great scenery.

They ended up charging us for the entire stay instead of just the deposit. Sad that it has become difficult to reach a live person with whom to communicate.They charged us $348.92 for a cabin we never used.
