I felt welcomed on my first class, the instructors are very friendly and take the time talk to new people at the start and end of class and I like that! The bikes are unlike any other spin bikes--- smooth riding and top notch. Glenn is able to create the perfect balance of a zen-like yet intense ride like no other workout class. His music is always perfectly selected and frequently updated. The East Bay is fortunate to have Luxe in our back pocket. I highly recommend Luxe to all people who have not yet tried it. Calm for a while but within a half hour or so weight work out guys show up and start using foul language at the top of their lungs. I told her I was new to yoga and she was very helpful in guiding me throughout the class. It was here that I had learned that the mat I was using wasn't suitable for yoga (it was too thick and had no grip on it). Alyssa let me borrow one of the studio's yoga mats and told me what to look for in buying a yoga mat. I have since gotten a legitimate one. This is probably one of the better looking yoga studios that I've been to. It's a super cute studio. I love the decor and ambiance here. It has a nice cozy feel to it. I would recommend this yoga studio for anyone in the Barrington area who is looking to take yoga classes!

You don't need to give me power, I can modify myself, I just need to feel the flow. I took four classes and terry was by far the best thus far (even tho a bit stiff) I wish they offered more Vinyasa flow classes. However, other classes just seemed choppy and without intent. Aquidneck Island needs more options and this is a fine enough studio but it just didn't offer a smooth Vinyasa flow type of practice which I am accustomed. I will give it a few more tries... I'd never done Pilates until this week and I think I may be hooked. So far I've taken two classes with Sally and she is awesome. She explains everything very clearly and makes sure everyone has correct form so you don't have to worry about pulling something out of wack. Sally's on it. She won't let that happen. Along with being a well informed and effective instructor Sally is incredibly welcoming and warm. As for Pilates itself, I may have finally found the exercise that I look forward to! Is that possible?? Apparently it is. In the wise words of Kim Kardashian, "It's like an easy workout, but you feel it, so it's not annoying, you know?" I do know, Kim. I certainly feel it.

I would definitely recommend this studio as a place to try pilates for the first time or continue to take classes!
