Elite event or just going in for the strenuous workout you are gonna have a great experience regardless. It's wonderful to see that the attention to detail and excellent customer service has not changed, but improved more and more !!!! And believe me with various instructors to push you to achieve your goals or better, you are gonna get what's best for you !!!! Who says the 80's are gone ? Never !!! What an amazing way to end your long working day. This event was literally breathtaking !!! An 80's theme spin class with a great crew welcoming you as soon as you arrive here at CycleBar. They gave away sun glasses, chapstick, magnets, mints, neon necklaces, and CycleBar bottle. Even further assisting us getting logged in and assigning out bike seats to us few that didn't do it on line. Casey was so patient with us !!! Thank you bunches !!! Towels and new shoes are available for your use on bikes unless you've brought your own personal shoes. Lockers are available for you to secure your belongings. The locker, shoes, and towels are available for you at no additional charges (FREE) To our surprise Fruitive was there for the event as well, with various of shots of their many juices such as Immunity, Super Citrus, Brighten Up, and Going Green, with delicious avocado toast. Something light before that fitness !!! As Chris (owner) welcomed us and told us CycleBar, he also assisted in helping us getting locked in to our bikes and settling them up to our comfort along side his employees. That's teamwork !!!! The workout room is filed with bikes and mirrors facing the front where your instructor is whom for us was Brooke. She was very motivating, but at the same time bringing the pain!!!! Yes the ride was intense for we didn't only work our legs, but our arms as well !!! Yes our arms !! So after working it out jamming to the music on great system and sweating it out we were received with cold eucalyptus towels to cool off. Yes, perfect timing on the towels !!!l Like always Xerxes, you did a great job and thank you for the Yelp bottle and everything !!! Thanks for the great company Yelpers !!!

I have been to CycleBar in Redmill three times now. Every time I have had different instructor, and every time it has been enjoyable experience of a different caliber. I really appreciate that every class is not scripted and exactly the same... Depending on what type of motivation and music you would like, you can pick your instructor, your class time, and even coordinate with your friends to cycle together. While cycling is not my favorite activity, this location has managed to make it incredibly enjoyable. Sure, I leave saddlesore and with a little regret, but the next day I'm always so glad that I went and feel so energized. In regards to a premium fitness experience, this is your place!!! They have water at different temperatures, incredibly clean bathrooms, free lockers, and they even provide your shoes - each and every time, ready and waiting in your size when you check in! If you're looking for a date night that is something different, some time out with your friends where you burn more calories than you take in, or just a way to shake up your fitness routine; you should definitelycheck out CycleBar in Redmill in Virginia Beach.

I absolutely LOVED my experience at CycleBar with a capital L! Cheesy, I know...but seriously, this is one of the best indoor cycling experiences that I have ever had! I even left with a New Rider package. The staff was awesome and very helpful with setting up by bike and figuring out how everything worked. I was so impressed with every little thing from the check in area and how you received your shoes, to my name being written on my locker, the water dispenser that had cold water and room temperature water, and even the cold eucalyptus/mint smelling towel they give you at the end! It was so clean and such an uplifting environment. The instructor was very motivating (Shout out to Susan!). The music was on point, even though I don't listen to much country...I loved it! I was impressed with the technology of the bikes and how we were able to see our stats from our ride. It didn't feel intimidating at all. It went by so fast because I was truly just enjoying myself and focusing on pushing myself during the sprints and climbs. It was a great full body workout! I am so glad that I got to experience this first event for Yelp's Fit Club. I definitely had a blast and I will return with more friends to share the experience.

What an amazing and fun experience it is, to work out at CycleBar! This cyclebar is located on Upton, Red Mill area near Target. It's right smack dab in the middle of Flip Flops and Chowboy. We spoke to one of the owners and she said this is the first in the area, Hampton Roads, and the first in VA was in Richmond. So you sign up and reserve your classes online. Right now, during grand opening, rides are free until Sept 24th, again, sign up online. Prices are on their website as well; so much to type. The place is very clean and well lit. Bathrooms are clean and they have so many amenities! Lotion, feminine products for ladies, just so well stocked. They even have hair ties available. How convenient and thoughtful! They also have a water machine, water on tap if you will, available in room temp & chilled. So cool. There are also lockers available for use, with combo locks built in! They have riding shoes available, which lock into place on the bike. I was so intimidated because my experience here was the first time I'd ever done any "cycling/spinning." It was great though. I also loved that after the ride, they provide cold, wet towels to freshen and clean up. The cycle room is dim and they have a nice sound system. Brooke, our instructor, was awesome. The owners and all the staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel so welcome! I hope this place does really well. I'd come back in a heartbeat. Take a class and try them out!

I was introduced to this place through that 80s theme yelp elite event where we ride in high shorts etc. That was my first spin class I have ever taken and it was surprisingly challenging and fun. My fitness routine consisted of weight lifting, running, and playing basketball but never any type of classes like this. It's a great change of pace. I have been going for their grand opening special where you can ride for free for a time and it was worth it. They provide cycling shoes, lockers, and CycleBar bottles and chilled water. All the instructors are great and have different playlists and workouts throughout your ride. They also offer races in the middle and the end to turn up the intensity a bit. Now the bike ride itself as far as I know consists of a warm up, uphill climb, race, medium intensity ride, cool down, and stretching. The instructors will take you through all of those stages. Great workout! The owners and the instructors are all friendly and knowledgeable and I recommend this place if you are interested in cycling classes! Sweat it out!

Cyclebar is amazing! My husband told me there was a new indoor cycling place that I needed to try, and boy am I glad I did! I attended the 545 class on a Tuesday night and it was a pretty full class. Everyone is so friendly. I was greeted at the door and was given a quick tour of the place. You sign in on the tablets up front and they provide riding shoes, so just pick your size and go. The locker and bench area gets pretty packed with everyone getting ready and putting their things away. But regardless of how many people there were, it was very clean and tidy. Once I got my stuff in a locker, I was guided to my bike. The owner, or whom I believe is the owner, helped me set up my bike and get clicked in. There's a little monitor on your bike that shows your power, rpm, and resistance. My ride was amazing but, it definitely kicked my butt. I took Bonnie's class and she was great. She motivated the whole class the whole time. There are moments where you go against the entire class and just sprint your booty off. I felt that it made everything more competitive and fun (you even get stats sent to you after the ride). After your ride, they hand out cold towels which feel amazing! This place is so fun and you get a great workout out of it. I'm definitely signing up!

I love gifts :) My first impression of this facility was nothing short of complete L.O.V.E! The women seemed super friendly here and the owner, Allison a complete pleasure to be around. She made me feel super comfortable from the beginning to the end of my trail. It's been about a month since I have returned, but I am gearing up to start again this month for another FREE trail. Yes, FREE!!! This month (May 2017) once you sign up you can attend as many classes as you like during the month with no obligations. Now how fabulous is that deal and you're working towards a healthier you too - I LOVE IT! This place is located in a shopping area that's not too busy, therefore, parking is available without worry. I've visited during the week after 6pm, on Saturday before 8am and Sunday evening after 4pm and I haven't had any issues with traffic or parking. Not sure if this location will catch passerby's - but definitely advertising and social media is what brought me in! I work in Va Beach but I very seldom pass this area. Therefore, once I found it I was super surprise about the surrounding shops - shopping is all around. The center is also 10 minutes or less from Lynnhaven Mall and a short drive to the Landstown Commons area - another eating and shopping area. I've experience two instructors style of teaching, one being Allison and the ladies are super energetic and they make working out fun and engaging! The spirit is alive and well in here. The classes are a great size - no bumping or being in each other's way. I've even found myself doing some of the Jazzercise routines when I hear the same song on the radio that was used in class. For example, Bruno Mars, "That's What I Like" - OMG... I heard it here first and fell in love with it. And yes, the music is awesome too! I l love to workout and sing along - that's more motivation in itself! But it's basically like your're dancing but you are sure to work up a sweat, burn calories and for an hour class earn at least 5K steps - engaging your entire body especially your core! I'm not sure if men attend or are able too, I've only witnessed women working out. But call first to see if men are welcomed. The center offers at least two handful of a variety of classes. Something is sure to peak your interest. My initial thought was cardio cardio cardio - nah - I'm more of a weight trainer. But to my surprise, they weight train here too. And certain classes incorporate it all - full body workouts. My favorite class thus far - Fusion !! And if you have questions about ANYTHING the ladies are super helpful and want to ensure you are comfortable and understand the benefits of Jazzercise. I tell ya, my perception of this place was all wrong! And I'm happy to say, I love it here! Try it out! Have fun and enjoy life!

We started with dance before shifting to light weight work and core. The total workout lasted about an hour. It certainly wasn't the hardest workout I've ever had, but it was fun. The hardest part wasn't fighting through the routines, but getting the dance moves down pat. By the end, my hamstrings were strained and they would remain that way for a few days. Yet I didn't feel tired, I felt I had a little more to give despite being drenched in sweat. It was fun, but just not my style of workout.

Thankfully, my niece was in town so we all decided to go together. With my daughter's membership, we both were able to accompany her for just $10pp. At first glance, this gym was very spacious and very well maintained. It had a huge, open area with treadmills, ellipticals and stair masters then other areas that included free weights, weight machines and bikes, among other equipment. I was very impressed by the swimming pool and the large hot tub as well. We started on the treadmills as a warm up then worked our way to the upper body machines. I noticed they had cleaning wipes conveniently located, to wipe down the machines when we were done which was a plus. As we were leaving, I noticed the Onelife Cinema and asked the lady at the front desk about how it works. She mentioned that they show a different movie every day (the movie is on repeat) but the room includes treadmills and workout equipment for you to workout and watch a movie at the same time. What a concept!!! I haven't decided if I am going to join yet but this gym is absolutely beautiful, spacious and very well ventilated. The staff is also great and I would highly recommend stopping in if you are interested in joining a gym.

At signup, we were clearly told that members 13 and up may work out independently, while children 12 and under are allowed so long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. When we pointed out the contradiction, we weren't met with clarification... just a stern double-down. The issue isn't the policy. It's the delivery, the inconsistency, and being corrected in front of a child after being given conflicting information less than 24 hours earlier. SO HERE IS MY TAKE AWAY.
