Has all the equipment you'd expect, but then has everything a real gym rat would appreciate: tires, battle ropes, kettle bells, agility ladders, etc. Staff was super nice, members all seemed to know each other; place had a great old school vibe for people who want to come in and work hard.

I can see it becoming my fitness 'home' for years to come…read more I've been a member of countless gyms, attended countless classes, tried different running apps on my phone, etc. etc. and yet, through all of that, I couldn't discipline myself to stick to a steady routine. Sure, I'd go to the gym for a few months, but then life got in the way and I'd cancel my membership, only to go join another gym several months later and do it all over again. I haven't been a member of any gym since I moved to Kentucky because there aren't too many options close by. Then back in January of this year, my husband and I found out how to become members of this fitness center and took the steps necessary to do so. If you are a Toyota employee, you can join this gym. If you are a spouse of an employee, you can join the gym. If you are a contractor or just a random person who wants to join the gym, you need to find someone that is currently a Toyota employee who is willing to 'sponsor' (vouch for you) your membership. I believe an employee can only sponsor one person. This is the route we had to take. When you sign up, you get five free training sessions -- which is AWESOME. I had Sara as a trainer -- who really listened to me and helped me come up with a plan to get my butt into shape. Merely two weeks into our training, I was already noticing a huge difference in myself -- how awesome is that? That just pumped me up even more. My husband's trainer (Wade) kicked his butt too, in a good way. We both loved the trainers we had. Let me tell you -- if you are not good at motivating yourself, getting a trainer is a fantastic way to push yourself to see results. This is what I had been lacking all those times I joined other gyms. We even signed up for a few paid training sessions after our free ones were used up. During the year, there are different sports leagues you can join. The center also has outdoor tennis courts, sand volleyball, baseball fields, and a nature walking trail. Oh -- and the best part? Lots of classes!! Yoga, weights, cardio, etc. The gym is pretty much open 24 hours except for Sundays and with special hours during holidays and Toyota shutdown weeks. It kind of became my second home.... I grew to see the same faces each time I worked out and looked forward to a session of strength-training. I got stronger, yo! Unfortunately, I canceled my membership a few days ago due to unplanned life events and tight finances. The $20/month membership fee is not expensive at all (in fact, it's kind of amazing considering that it covers the 24-hour gym, childcare, and all classes), but I'm at a point where I need that.... so once I get back on my feet, I'll rejoin this fantastic gym!

It has a spacious interior with a variety of routes for bouldering, top rope, auto-belay, and lead climb. The walls are much taller than other gyms I've been to and make the routes much challenging. Some of the grading doesn't seem very consistent. Staff is nice. Kids and adults of all ages are welcome. It's definitely fun to experience it at least once! The day pass is currently $30 per person with all gear rentals included. No price reduction if you bring your own gear. The membership cost is hefty, $100 per month or $80 if prepay... that's close to 1K per person at a minimum. One membership bonus is that all classes are free. If I resume climbing on a regular basis, I might consider shelling out some $$.

The staff were very friendly and detailed on how to get prepared for climbing the wall with the harnesses and also the ins and outs of each level of difficulty. My son loved climbing, as this is definitely his wheelhouse, but not necessarily mine lol. There were numerous walls to climb with the ropes/harnesses utilized and other boulder walls with a harness or rope not used but with a padded flooring under the ways. There is a wall for each level of climber from beginner to seasoned. If you want to try something new or get more practice on your skills, LEF is perfect for you! We will come back soon!

In fact, when we finished the tour I asked if there were any offers or how to sign up and she just told us to do it online. We awkwardly sat down on the tables and signed up. I thought staff would earn commission here but maybe not? Anywho, she just seemed bothered the entire time. The gym itself isn't terrible. It's smaller than others, there is no pool, the parking is not the best, but, they have great equipment and classes. When my husband signed up we thought he'd be charged around $29, but after fees and taxes it's about $10 more per month, which sucks. Thankfully I'm only a guest, but I'm not sure about recommending this gym to others for now. Overall, 7/10.

On top of that, the manager, Vanessa, allegedly made body-shaming comments and said they should "only hire hot people." That kind of behavior is unprofessional, harmful, and completely unacceptable in any workplace. No one should be judged or treated differently based on how they look. If this is the culture this business allows, people should seriously think twice before supporting it. On top of that, they charge a $95 cancellation fee, and multiple interactions with staff came off as rude and dismissive. Very disappointing experience overall.

The coaches are all knowledgable with years of solid experience (most have been in professional fights and competitions themselves), and can work with you whether your goals are to fight or just to get into combat sports as a hobby. Fellow students are also just as motivated to learn and work, which gives an awesome atmosphere. I haven't been able to find another gym as quality as this one, and felt lucky to be able to train BJJ and Muay Thai while I was here.
