To describe what cyclebar means to me in words is nearly impossible, so I'm going to do my best. I found cyclebar a little over a year ago when I was having a hard time adjusting to life in Lexington, BUT cyclebar gave me a sense of community and belonging that made Lexington feel a little more like home. They take their motto "We ride as One" seriously! From the instructors constant encouragement throughout classes to their genuine kindness off the bike from the moment you step in Cyclebar you are family. My first ride I was terrified... I didn't know anyone or what to expect, but after a few rides I felt more and more comfortable and if I had an issue I was not afraid to ask (& I cannot stress this enough ask ALL the questions they want to help)! The quality of the workout is fantastic and the themed rides are so fun! You will be sweaty after!! Booking rides is easy and convenient through their app & you can book up to seven days in advance. Since covid they have made the health and safety of riders a priority. You do have to wear a mask or face shield while riding, they have extra sanitizing protocols, bikes are socially distanced, and they have a top notch air purifier! I feel so safe while I'm there and everyone in the community takes part in keeping each other safe! I visited CycleBar while in Lexington. I called and spoke to Eli prior to attending my class the next morning and he assisted me getting setting up for my class. I signed up for the Empower (45min) class at 5:45 A.M. the next morning. Everything was pretty straightforward. When I walked in, Julia was super helpful and getting me set up and making sure I had everything I needed for the class. She really made things seamless and even followed up with me after class. Her generosity did not go unnoticed. Elizabeth was the instructor and I enjoyed the class overall. Hopefully, I'll be able to take more classes in the future! read more

I can't say enough good things about Cyclebar. I have taken classes as early as 5:30 a.m. and as late as 7 p.m. and have been greeted with excitement and enthusiasm every time I walk through the doors. The facility is always clean and welcoming. The greatest asset are the people who work and teach there. They truly care those of us who work out there. read more

I joined cycle bar about 3 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. The amenities are great - all the shower, hair supplies, feminine products you may need to get ready. Nice filtered water stations and fruit for before or after your workout. Each ride is a bit different. It's definitely not easy, but you can go at your own pace for what you can handle. The atmosphere is really neat with the lights and music and fun instructor. My instructors, so far, have been Laiken, Chelsea and Arden and all have been wonderful! Each ride I've done so far (of the 4 rides I've done) has had some theme like mimosas after or crudité snacks or a healthy yogurt with fresh fruit, or beer and wine after! The cold wet towels they give you right after are dipped in some type of menthol (I think) and feel amazing! I had fallen out of the exercise routine lately and needed something to give me some renewed energy and this sure has done it for me! It's a little spendy but it's all worth it if it gets you to the gym, and the feeling afterwords is worth it in itself. The first ride is free so I highly recommend checking it out! read more

The indoor cycling classes are all thoroughly planned and choreographed by the instructors who are excellent motivators. The music is also great and classes are sometime themed, which adds an extra layer of fun. If you decide to give a try, lockers, water and shoes for the bike are all provided. This place plays music so loud I can hear/feel the bass in my house. It generally starts at 5:45 am and goes on periodically throughout the day. I have called numerous times and they refuse to do anything about it. I live over 100' from the building and across a road. It's ridiculous. CycleBar is a premium indoor cycling studio. The employees were very friendly. The instructor was very enthusiastic. While it is a little pricey, however you get those in added perks they have. 1. They give you shoes, because their bikes don't allow you to use regular shoes 2. They provide a complimentary water bottle and snacks. 3. Lockers that have coded keypads for easy access and safe storage for all of your belongings 4. They also have a locker room, robes, hair ties, wet clothing bags, and other toiletries to use. 5. They incorporate a small arm workout which I like. read more

Love coming to the new CycleBar at The Summit! I've been a member at some of the other Cycling studios around town for a few years and have been doing Spinning in some form or another since college, so I know a good fitness class when I do one. And CycleBar is GOOD. And by "good" I mean "sweat your booty off to fun playlists and neat promotions". Mimosa Rides, Glow Rides and "Tequila and Tapbacks" are all some of the fun themed rides they've had at CycleBar over the past two months and the experience never stops being fun! This isn't like some of the other cycling studios in town where you get coddled or there's a lot of "feelings" you're supposed to engage with--Here you will sweat and leave exhausted yet energized, so leave your lazy at the door. I like that the instructors are young and diverse and so are their playlists and styles. I feel like I'm doing more than a workout as well, like I'm getting into condition and I can't say that about most fitness classes of any kind. If you're looking to rev up your current cycling routine, or just get out of a fitness rut, come try CycleBar. It provides the cycle shoes and even a free CB water bottle! After writing my review on how I wouldn't come back after only going to 1 class and spending $220 for it... This place is a joke. Reading previous bad reviews after the fact, it looks like charging people after customers don't want to continue cycling here is a normal thing. It's the principal that matters here. I didn't like it and they are charging me for more classes. Especially after asking if I can give the classes to other people and they said no? They obviously just want to profit a ridiculous amount of money for a 45 min class. Wouldn't recommend anyone going here. read more

Jazzed that Lexington has a legit spin studio. Staff here is friendly and patient with respect to answering all of your questions. A couple things to note though: if you're a new rider you MUST arrive 15 minutes early or else you run the risk of not being able to go in because the room will be dark and no one will be able to help you set up your bike. I really like the personal touches like lockers with shoes already prepared. The only thing feedback is sometimes the class feels a little messy / out of rhythm. If it's supposed to be ride to the rhythm, I feel that the emphasis should be more about hitting the beat. Sometimes the instructors call out RPMs that don't make any sense with the beat and it's really confusing because matching the RPMs then throws you off slightly. I think if some of those kinks were worked out, this would be an even better workout experience! read more

This is one of my favorite places ever. The atmosphere they create made me feel so welcome from the moment i walked in. I played soccer until I was 18 & had the hardest time finding motivation when it came to working out, until i found cyclebar a couple months ago. For the first time i look forward to my workout & all of the cyclestars feel like friends, they are all so understanding & motivating. I would 10/10 recommend this place to a friend. She was very apologetic and kind and explained what had happened and did get me scheduled to come again. I decided to try out CycleBar, while waiting for orange theory to open up. Needless to say, I am adding CycleBar to my workout routine! The music is great, the teachers keep you moving and encourage you. I like to think I am fit, but man these classes are tough! The intensity, variety of music, and great workout keep me coming back. So, cyclebar is pricey, but aren't all boutique fitness classes? However, what you do get when you ride here is a killer workout. And you don't just stay stagnant over time, you get better and push yourself harder. Sure, the structure of the class is predictable, but what's great about this company/business model is that 50% of the ride is about how you're vibing with the instructor and the other half on you - to make your ride exactly what you need from it. It's literally been years since I've found a workout place that I truly enjoy. Cyclebar has a great atmosphere--friendly and helpful staff, awesome instructors, good music, and a healthy dose of competition. I go 2-3 days a week, and I'm sad when I have to miss it. There are obviously other spin places in Lexington, but this one makes me feel like part of the family, and they give me these ice-cold towels after class so they basically have my heart forever. read more

I would never recommend this place to a friend. First off, if you don't show up 30 minutes early for your first class, They charge you around $15. The classes are contract based, meaning you're in a bind with them for classes. You can choose 1,2,3 classes per week and what you buy is what you get. So if you miss a class, then you loose it and doesn't roll over for the next month. You need to request a 30 DAY cancellation notice, IN PERSON, and they still charge you for the following final month. Why would they need a contract for a fitness company? Its pretty pricey not to mention. This whole company is a rip off. read more

Went to Laken's 6am because I had been promising her I would attend. Fully intended to be rolled out on a gurney, but laken kicks ass at motivating AND challenging! She is hilarious, and her playlists are great so it's easy to forget that I'm supposed to pretend I don't like working out. She is such a great instructor! Coupled with the cool atmosphere, the VIP service you receive (free breakfast bar after class? i went a little while ago and i meant to post another review just with some thoughts that came to my mind that might make someone's experience even better first of all the leader board i feel like it would be better if we could just see our individual placements on our screen or something it is an individual journey but with something like that it's easy to compare yourself to others also on our screen being able to opt out of seeing the calories or having a choice i know that can be especially triggering to some people and lastly the words on the individual screen should be able to be made bigger for people who don't have the best eyesight This place is great and everyone is so nice i still recommend just some suggestions.(: read more

Such a fun workout! I love David's classes, he really pushes you and makes it so worth it!

I'm going to preface this by saying I'm old.... and this is still a great place. Had my best class today with Kaite, how took extra time to explain how to optimally set up my bike. If it's your first time, you should get there early and mention it to someone, as I wasn't shown initially, and it's an important learning curve. I take advantage of the provided earplugs, appreciate the towel, water and fruit, but really like(?) the bust-your-ass workout. It's hard. But you can go at your own pace and work toward being able to keep up. Find an instructor and class type you like, and rock on! The shoes they provide are comfortable, everything is clean and upbeat. And your first class is free! (Just remember to tell them if you're a beginner.) I would have been lost just with bike setup if I hadn't been a cyclist. read more

I love this place!! AJ just KILLED the 11am class! I burned roughly 500 calories in 45 minutes! This is an excellent and challenging total body workout. They incorporate arms too! AND they have "special rides" that include mimosas or brunch-- today's is 1/2 off core life eatery which is one of my favorite healthy options in Lexington! read more

Love CycleBar Fritz Farm!!! Great addition to The Summit. The front desk staff greets you with a smile as soon as you walk in and asks if you need help checking in on the iPad. When you check in, spin shoes are provided in an assigned cubby that correlates to your bike number you signed up for online. They have lockers for you to put your belongings in and make your own code to use for class. I have loved all the Cycle Stars and variety of cycle classes so far. The Music Video class was a fun change of pace to the typical class!!! Looking forward to buying a class package when my Groupon is up!! read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. I had an AWFUL experience with not only 1, but 2 of their staff members. I am currently a student that was looking to take a fun workout class and heard about CycleBar and decided to try it. The instructors were great and everything was going well... until I tried to freeze my account for Christmas break. I went in, signed the form and didn't think much about it. HOWEVER, when I came back to Lexington after break and decided to call to unfreeze my account no one answered. I tried back three more times before I finally decided to text them. What business uses texting as their method of communication? Not a professional one that is for sure. After finally driving out there to talking to someone after I begged from them to call me I thought that I had done all that was needed to be done. UNTIL I received an email saying that my account was cancelled. At this point, I had decided ok that's fine, CycleBar is a 30 minute drive away from my house and it would be more convenient to go elsewhere. Again I thought, no harm no foul. UNTIL I get an email saying that my account had been charged. I again drove out to their studio and filled out all the proper paperwork to completely cancel my account in fear that I would be charged the following months. Clearly that wasn't enough for these people because I WAS CHARGED FOR THE NEXT MONTH. After what felt like endless hours of barely communicating with their employees on THEIR error, one of the managers, Lauren, decided to insult me over an email. At that point, I stopped all communication, sent everything to my bank and contested the charge. (Don't worry, my bank did not side with this horrible establishment). CycleBar has the WORST service and the most DIFFICULT employees I have ever worked with. Go to any other cycle studio in Lex..... there are way nicer people out there! Lastly, I have preached this to high heavens to make sure all of my young cycle inspired friends knew about how difficult my situation was. Now, my friend is getting TEXTS saying she owes money after her cancelation form was signed 3 months ago. Cycle Bar at the Summit is not willing to help patrons. In August went in to freeze account as my daughter was returning to college. I was still charged September. Called, texted, emailed. Poor communication. Voicemail full. Reply texts not pertaining to the issue. We were charged again in October. I've called, texted, emailed. Today Ann'informed me I'm not allowed to have Corporate contact that GM Lauren Taylor reports too and that owners never help members. I was told corporate won't do anything for you. I'm happy to pay for cycle bar if it's being used. We were told it was no big deal to freeze the account while at college. So, I've filed a complaint with BBB. I e disputed charges with my bank and I have resubmitted the 3rd freeze request. They are willing to lose a customer over charges when no classes were even taken. Frustrating at best! I never leave reviews unless I'm totally done with a business and that is where I am today with Cyclebar. I know something can be done. We have frozen the account before. I think the confusion was disorganization from being shut down from the virus and reopening. But, they just say they can't help me. I hope their 238$ was worth losing a member who would have eventually paid that many times over. read more

Cycle bar is my favorite place I've tried to do fitness classes ever. The leader board is super motivating if you are driven by competition. The staff is very helpful and understanding if you need to roll over a ride or are late to a class. The times the classes are held are super accessible on the weekdays. Shame on you Cycle Bar Lexington. I came to take class this am (7/5) at your studio at Fritz Farm for the 5:30am class. I woke up at 4:30am. I am here visiting family in Frankfort and depend on Cycle Bar as it's a brand I know and had trusted to be a place to get some good cardio in when I'm visiting family. I set out just past 4:30am for the drive to the studio in Lexington. I arrived just after 5:20am, a member of your team gave me my shoes and I put my shoes on, filled up my water bottle and locked up my stuff in a locker. I headed into the studio, got my bike set, clipped in and was just about ready to sit on the bike when a team member from the studio walked in and said, "since there are only 3 of you we are cancelling class." I was too astounded and lacking in caffeine to say anything. So although even though I paid, planned, committed and showed the message I got from your team was my presence doesn't matter. How many bodies have to be in the room for it to be deemed a class worthy of having? As a fitness studio manager I tell my team each and every client matters. Each and every person matters and when you treat me like I don't matter I feel sad. read more

Lexington CycleBar at the Summit does not return phone calls or text messages. I believe this is part of their business plan to get a few more months of fees while they do not cancel you. Policy needs to be changed and customer service needs to be a priority, still being charged even after sending in cancellation paperwork. Was moving to another area and will not even look at CycleBar as a place to work out even when I enjoyed the classes. Be careful their business model seems like a scam, the one thing I was promised I would not have to deal with when I signed up. read more
