All kinds of different paint jobs special linings, and carbon fiber set ups will have you filled with joy for all the options that are available. Don't forget to ask them for their special limited releases, and their price cuts which they have from time to time. Jedidiah and Eric were an absolute joy to work with. They took good care of me and answered all of my questions, even though they knew that I would not be purchasing anything today. If I ever start riding, I will definitely come and ask for them by name and you should do the same. I had ordered a couple helmets, Shark Evoline and Bilt, both are modular helmets. From Cycle Gear, wonderful caring people. Mark and Gus are wonderful and Destiny helped me on the phone today 12/3/19 Unfortunately having a small head size is not an easy task to find a helmet I can live with. I have a full face helmet (cheap online buy) to wear around the house for 4 hours. Yeah, after 20 minutes I gave up. I purchased a half or 3/4 helmet I like it but no real protection tbh. Ordered a Shark Evoline at Cycle Gear and had a different model sent to me by Revzilla. These helmets made me feel like a bobble head. Yes, very picky when it comes to gear. I'm to young to die lol. If you're a woman rider, ask for Destiny. Yes, she will help out both sexes. Mark is a great guy, he can help the guy's out. Although the prices aren't stellar, they have what you need to get back on the road. These guys are helpful and can mount your tire without bungling your rims up. Nice people too and they ride so the passion is shared. I have had other cycle gear places trash my rims and such but this place is set apart from my past experiences. The tire went flat and I needed help getting it inflated so I was looking for a bike shop and ended up here on accident. The guy was so nice and helped me even though he didn't have to. 3/3 times coming to this location and each time has been positive experience. There is a location closer to home but the current staff at this location all seem into their business. They actually leave the front counter to help when needed. Always felt a positive vibe walking into this location. Layout is great as well. So I came into this shop to have a sand tire mounted on a dirt bike. They had me waiting 30 plus minutes not ready so just ask if I can come back next day. When I came back to pick up my wheel I asked for my tube which was only one ride old and paid 40 bucks. The guy told me they usually throw the old wheel away asked me if wanted my old tire back which only had I ride and paid 180 bucks. So didn't get my tube back and almost lost my tire. I don't recommend this place for any tire mounts. read more

Went in to purchase a helmet could not get any help past how do you do. Ask for Bluetooth helmet and was shown only 2, later I figured out on my own there was several other Bluetooth helmets. Female worker seemed more interested in giggling with other male employee and I could not get any help with sizes available. read more

Having shopped "here" many times online in the past, I couldn't believe we have an actual physical location right in my own backyard. Needing a new helmet and having presumably narrowed down my choices, I dropped by to have a look before ordering on the net, assuming that's how I'd end up with the best deal. But it didn't take long talking to TYLER that I discovered I hadn't fully considered my best options. Like a true pro, he helped me find the right gear that matched what I needed and wanted. He wasn't pushy - but he clearly knows his stuff. Not only did he find me the perfect helmet, but he paired it with an awesome Bluetooth at a better price than anything I could come up with online. He really won my loyalty by installing the device on my helmet, and following that up by guiding me to the most awesome Shoei shield to cut the glare in these harsh desert environments! Everything came out beyond my wildest expectations. I shudder to think what I would have ended up with without consulting Tyler. My helmet looks phenomenal with the shield and Sena Bluetooth both professionally installed. (I saw all the loose parts and would have botched it myself.) Thank you, Tyler. Buyer beware do not buy your expensive items from here oh no even if they come with a lifetime warranty I had the manager tell me today that a lifetime warranty isn't a lifetime warranty he says it's only for the life of the first time the item break which is a crock of shit they don't honor their own warranties I bought a heating outfit jacket gloves from them for a lot of money when I bought it they said I had a lifetime warranty I returned it multiple times because they've broken or not work or short out and electrocute my hand. For some reason this time they stopped honoring their lifetime warranty . The produce they sell with a lifetime warranty is false advertising their lifetime warranty does not last the life of the item or the life of how long you have the item like a lifetime warranty is for some reason the manager thinks the public is stupid and a stupid excuse for changing their warranty policy on an item you bought eight years ago this store used to be really good now it's just another Corporation trying to take your money every product I have gotten from this place has broken before it's time the ones with a lifetime warranty I was satisfied with because they had a lifetime warranty and I could replace it now they get rid of the warranty so you have to buy the product again I will never buy another expensive item from them ever again and never buy a warranty from them ever again this is the biggest scam I have ever seen in retail stores buyer beware read more

I had the worst experience with the Cycle Gear in Lomita, Ca. They told me at 12:30pm that my tires would be done in an hour. So when I got off work and hadn't heard from them I went to the store. They said sorry they were busy but in one hour they would be done. So I went and did some errands. When I came back it was another hour so this time I stayed because I wanted to see what they were doing. No one was working on the tires and they were just standing around in the store. In total I had to wait 2+ hours to get my tires done. They simply could have told me that they wouldn't be done that day and to come back. When I suggested this to them the guy said, "you can still go and come back tomorrow" which I replied with give me my tires now. I figured I could just go and get them done somewhere else. Instead they rushed thru the tires and gave them to me. This is unacceptable customer service. I shouldn't be made to feel that they don't care about me as I am a paying customer. Was even going to tip the person who was doing the tires. But not after the horrible service I experienced. Now I am terrified to ride the motorcycle with these tires on it as I feel that they are unsafe and I may crash and die. read more

Came in to get my 3yr old a pair of boots. Called before to make sure they had them and Gus was very helpful on the phone as well as in the store. Ended up picking up a uniform or my son as well. They have a good selection of mc products. I agree with other reviews service from employees is outstanding, in particular Brian. Very knowledgeable and glad to see they employ someone who actually rides and knows what they're talking about. Freeway close and plenty of parking (even mc designated spots). Great customer service and overall experience. I called at 430pm on a Saturday for a tire repair needed to go out dirt biking Sunday and they happily agreed to take the work and complete before they closed saving my weekend ride. Terrible customer service. I walked in to buy a couple quarts of oil and miscellaneous things. The manager on duty said he was going to go grab a quart from the back for me and came back and started chatting with a different customer and making a big sale. Obviously not a place to shop for any true rider. Have used Cycle Gear for years and have recommended them to friends and fellow riders as we have always had excellent service, however this goes far and beyond what one would expect. I won't say what the item was to prevent any possible scammers from getting any ideas. I had purchased an item that was found to be defective before it was installed. Item was replaced without any issue as is always their policy. Second item was installed and after a short time was found to also have an issue and in turn caused some other issues. Eric inspected and took pictures of the problem, then later got back to me offering to upgrade the item and he took care of the incidentals as well. I'm not a regular customer that is in there so often that they know me by name. I do send a lot of folks over there, but they don't know that. They don't know me from Adam yet this this is the treatment I received. I go to Cycle Gear for on and off road gear, prices, selection and service are great. I don't have to deal with some clown talking down to me because I don't know as much as he does about bikes or the B.S. when I know more the he does. I get a courteous acknowledgement when I walk in, courteous help with what I need and a heartfelt thank you and goodbye when I leave, usually from more than one person. Customer for life!! read more
