Shawn is awesome and knowledgeable! I went in with my kids to get comm for my helmet and my son (12). Chatted with a couple reps to figure out if the 1-Lite would work. I bought it and was only able to get 1 of the modules connected. I did troubleshooting and then neither would connect. So I called cycle gear and was told they'd look at em. Normally I don't have issues here but I bought a brand new tire and tube two months ago and had them mount it on my dirt bike wheel. I put it on my bike and loaded it in the truck, and left out of state next morning. Next day the tube is completely deflated meaning it had to have been pinched in the installation because there was not one ride on this new tube/tire. I ended up breaking my foot on that trip so I couldn't walk for two months. So I finally was able to walk into the store today with said tube and tire explaining that the tube was pinched and it deflated the day after I got it back and that I would like a replacement with no charge since it was messed up in the service I already paid for. The guy I talked to was a worker I've had positive experiences with but when I explained my situation with the tube and my broken foot, to account for the dragged out timeline, he didn't care at all and said it wasn't their fault that it deflated. He offered zero help or customer service and didn't even try to hear my side of things, and got super defensive after I explained what happened and asked for a free repair of their mistake. He said they check the tube and tire after the service and that there's no way it would have deflated unless it was my fault. Not true. Corporate has told these guys tube and tire installation needs to be within 24 hours now, and I got mine back the same day I dropped it off so there's no way they would have know it was going to slowly deflate. I even told him I put it on my bike the same day I got it back and it didn't deflate until the next day but I was already out of town. He did not care one bit and insinuated I somehow caused it to deflate. This really sucks because I go here a lot for specific fluids, gloves, and tube/tire service. But after my experience today with this guy not hearing me out or offering any kind of leeway, I don't really want to go back. I even offered to buy a tube and asked if they could install it for free but he refused and told me to take it somewhere else. Cycle gear is a big chain so they might now care at all about this and neither did he obviously, but I really hope he doesn't treat someone the same and hopefully people have better experiences there. read more

Not to happy with the staff every time ive come to the store the staff follow me around as if im gonna steal something always asking if i need help no thanks I've got it i know what i want so ive recently bought a tire and are having them mout and balance it why is it taking three days for maybe at the longest 30 minute job stop chasing me around and change my tire I come to the store because noone else has what i need so kinda stuck right read more

My son needed a helmet and a few other things because he just bought a new bike. I looked and unfortunately there are not a lot of places in the area that sell gear. I read the reviews and was dreading going in but like I said, there really wasn't any other option. When we showed up I was surprised, the people there couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. There was no pressure at all. They stressed their hassle free return/exchange policy which was nice to know and left us alone when we just wanted to browse. I am not sure how the other reviewers could have been that unhappy. Honestly these people were some of the most courteous people I've dealt with since we moved here. I would definitely ignore all the negative reviews and make it a point to check them out if you need any gear. read more

The staff is very poorly trained, not enough people on the floor, you ask a question and they look around to see if there is anyone in the store that has a clue, they come up empty. And that's how I leave the store "empty handed". They order the wrong part and don't say "sorry". i ask, Can you get that express that for me, yeah but it will cost you extra??? I would give negative stars if that was an option. My daughter was trying on riding gear and lady walks to the dressing room to try on a jacket I said oh sorry my daughter is in there. She shrugs and loudly sighs. She then goes to the worker Henry and he comes over and he asks my daughter to get out of the dressing room when she still has all the stuff on that she is trying on and asks her to get out so this lady can try on her jacket. Horrible service they will never get a dime from me EVER. What happened to waiting your turn. I still can't believe he asked her to step out so this lady who came in after us could use the dressing room. The lady said sorry she didn't mean to make her get out, but Henry persisted to have my 11 year old get out with out her normal clothes or shoes on So this lady can use the room. I am very pissed off with the customer service I went in there and bought A jacket and the Service guy kept telling me it had to be really tight and not loose and I agreed but when I got home and started riding it was so tight it was cutting my circulation off so I went back for an exchange and he was telling me that's the way The jacket should be worn and I told him I was not going to ride uncomfortable like that and I needed to up my size he then he finally let me try on another jacket then why I was trying it on he kept complaining that it was too big and I did not know what I was doing then he grabbed the back of the jacket and jerked on it he told me it's not supposed to be that loose and then I looked at him and told him I didn't care what the hell he thought it was my money it's what I want and he should just stop after he finally exchanged my jacket for a size bigger I left that store and I will never be back again the customer service is complete crap they're rude they're inconsiderate and I just wish I didn't have so much anger I would have got his name but instead I just took my jacket and walked out I still cannot believe he grabbed the back of the jacket when I was wearing it and jerked on it read more
