The people in the store were super friendly. HOWEVER. The Sedici motorcycle jacket I bought from them lost a zipper in the first hour. Clearly a manufacturing defect. I life a few hours away from the store and while they are able to deal with returns online, I have to go back to the store I bought it in. So if you live close by, you may consider buying from them. But if not, I would not recommend that. After all, Sedici is there house brand they don't stand behind -- tells you something. EDIT: I already mentioned that the people in the store as well as customer service are nice. However, I stand by my review. I reached out again after the comment below and was told they would escalate to the district manager to find a solution. And... nada! The product is just some cheap junk and they seem to know it. Saw online that they handle tire services so I them a call, specifically asking whether they can dismount tires from a set of wheels in a short time while waiting in the store. Gentleman says absolutely, not a problem, bring them in. I say I'll stop by the next morning with them, just needing tires removed from some extra wheels. Next morning, arrive at opening. No clue if this is the same gentleman but says he thinks they can handle them today but "let me go see" about the workload. Comes back to say they "should" be able to get them done "by the end of the day." I live 45 minutes away, politely state that I'll have to come back another time when it's more convenient to drop off and pick up later in the day. "Usually it's a 24 hour turn around. If you call ahead, we may be able to get them done quickly but that's not usually how we do it." Ah. So whomever I spoke with yesterday was completely clueless so I've wasted nearly two hours of my morning in driving to the area specifically for this. Thanks... Live and learn. I suppose I'll plan better next time by "calling ahead" (again) and getting something more definitive. read more

Open Sundays, a huge plus for cycle shops, Cycle Gear offers a good selection of gear and parts for road and off-road motorcycles. Half of their apparel selection is geared towards women, which was welcoming in a cycle shop. Their location is a bit off the beaten path but definitely worth looking up. They run great deals month - from discounted Bilt gear to half off cycle mounts. You can order a lot of their gear online but the staff in the store are very friendly and helpful. It's a great place to browse, but the store isn't huge so if you are looking for one particular thing, it'd be best to call ahead before making the trip. Also, the online selection doesn't match up with the stock they carry in-store. But overall it's a nice-sized store, open Sunday and Monday with a good selection of gear at great prices. read more

Welp, first timer here and my visit did not disappoint. I had no idea what I was walking into nor what I expected to walk out with. Actually, my intent this past Sunday was to just get fitted for helmet and make a decision at a later date. However, Sally and the 2 other ladies I worked with were great at explaining and sharing from their experience. Obviously, everyone has different opinions about everything, but they are sure to expose both sides or scenarios so you have all of the information to make your ever-so executive decision. Sally walked me through the wall-o-helmets and explained their features while also understanding my price range. She was thorough and answered all of my questions as well as my wife's questions. I'm a newbie and my boyfriend is close to being a pro. Salesperson - Anastasia is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They have a large selection of different brands with great prices: on popular brands, off brands and specials on things like helmets and jackets. I bought an off brand helmet, my very first helmet. My Bo likes the selection of Gortex and Leather Jackets. He has been to so many different motorcycle shops, and has made many, many purchases in the past. He is very picky and he really likes this store. He gives it a five star rating. It is impressive. We felt like little kids in a huge candy store. Overall, it is a great store with good quality products, good prices, great sale prices, (especially on off brand helmets). and a knowledgeable staff. Cycle Gear has everything a Newbie or Pro could want. It's even open on Sundays and Mondays. You cannot go wrong shopping here. You will leave feeling happy and excited. We can't wait to ride!!! I went into this store to get my first helmet and will be a new rider. After I asked one of the workers for advice on what to get in my price range she was so amazingly nice and helpful! She was very personable and talked to me about her own experiences riding and gave me advice for the future. I also asked where I should take my riders safety course and she had great knowledge on that as well. The store wasn't huge, but the helmet selection was pretty vast and they had what I needed as a new rider, with some pretty good sales too. Overall, the staff really made this trip great for me and I will definitely be coming back in the future. read more

Went in here this past weekend looking for a tire for my bike. After hearing about the store I thought I'd give it a try. Not sure if it was because of my ethnicity or not (not trying to pull the "race card" but it was pretty obvious that I was the only black person in the store), but I walked in and didn't get greeted by the young Caucasian female that was working the store at the time. So I continued to walk to the back to look at tires. She walked past me TWICE without saying anything or asking if I needed help. An older Caucasian gentleman then walked in the store and was greeted immediately. With that being said, I left the store without saying anything, and went to Freedom Cycles in Grandview where I bought my new Dunlop tires for my bike. I will never return to this store, and I will also be telling all of my biker friends about my experience. read more
