I was driving my family around in the van when I hear a chirping sound under the hood, then my A/C…read moregoes out, and my battery light goes on. It's 95 degrees outside. In my best Scottish accent I yelled, "Great! That's just great!" I pulled in to O'Reilly's on Marshall drive (just off I-35) . The first guy tests the battery, and says it's indeed low. I asked for prices on a new one, but he pointed out that my current battery was under warranty from the place I bought it, so I should take it back. This alone is worth some stars because it saved $80, and was honest, but it gets better. Meanwhile, I looked down and saw my serpentine belt was broken in two! That's not good, and explains the rest of the problems with the AC and battery. To have the van towed and have even a cheap mechanic replace this would be $300 MINIMUM, and likely more. I bought a belt there for $12, and another O'Reilly guy helped me replace it. He looked up the diagram (it wasn't under the hood like usual) and loaned me the tools. Within 45 minutes or less, I was back on the road and all is good. So what could have been a day or two without the van and $380+, turned into $12 (plus what I tipped the guy on the side) in under an hour. If I need any auto parts or advice, there's only one place I'm going henceforth!

This store's former location was on Marshall Dr, across from Costco, but they re-opened as a brand…read morenew, much larger, attractive, well-organized, spotless, fully-stocked store just east of Sam's Club, and next to DSW in that big shopping area at 95th & Quivira. The employees have always been extremely helpful and patient. Today I called to ask where they were now, and if they had seatbelt protectors, an obscure but really helpful item (they keep your seat belt from biting into/irritating your neck and shoulder, especially good for women in summer clothes!). Jonathan Bolivar, the employee with a delightful accent who answered, actually checked to see if they had them, how many "models," and the price point, which in my experience, is definitely going above and beyond when I call a store these days! I think you could find most any item you could ever want in terms of automotive supplies here, and the employees will take good care of you!

Their prices and selection are in line with with their competitors, but where they get you is on shipping and handling charges. For example, I placed an order with LMC and Classic Truck Parts the same day. Both orders arrived the same day and both boxes weighed almost the same. LMC charged me $23.75 shipping and handling while Classic Truck parts charged me just $7.95. In todays tough economy, I can not afford to waste money on over inflated S&H charges, I would rather put the money into parts for my truck. Plus most online retailers offer super low or free shipping these days. LMC's shipping and handling charges need to be brought more inline with todays market. You can bet the next time I need parts for my classic truck, I won't order from the company that overcharges me on shipping and handling.

I called and spoke to three different people before the last guy told me to pay the shipping back to them and the part would have to go through their Quality control department then they would make a determination if it was indeed defective before they would credit me for it. Update I have since also discovered that the mounting holes for the door handles I purchase from LMC Don't line up either. I have since used and would going forward Highly recommend using AMD American Metal Direct for all of my part needs.

Curtis was a big help, and very patient with all my questions. He checked the dash lights that were on, and gave helpful advice/input. He also checked the front and rear lights & replaced the bulb in a burned-out brake light. Checked the tires, oil and a other fluids, and gave me a recommendation for a place to get badly needed new tires. I'd highly recommend this business, and especially Curtis!

The back window of my Jeep refused to close even after I sprayed it with WD-40 and tried to reset…read morethe mechanism myself, so I brought it by this location. Adam was so helpful and took the time to carefully examine the locking mechanism, even though it was freezing and there was a weather alert for incoming snow. He walked me through what he was doing so that I could be prepared for next time this happens. He tried several times to fix the mechanism, which had somehow become flipped, until he succeeded. I appreciate his patience and kindness! There were several other customers in line before me, so I also saw how the staff helped them. I'm impressed by the recommendations they offered and the time they spent with each person. They took every concern seriously, no matter how small.
