September 2025. I thought I would try CycleGear instead of the dealer for a new tire. Ordered from the CycleGear website and it showed up in two days. Not bad. However the date code showed the tire was 2 years 10 months old. Seriously? I am hell on tires so I didn't complain as the tire won't be on my bike for more than 6 months anyway. I paid them to mount and balance the tire. Here's where it started to go downhill. First: Their shop has no outside access, so you have to carry your wheel/tire in the front door of the store. Pretty tough to do since you can't prop their doors open and trying to bring the tire through while fighting the door trying to close on you. Grr. Normally they have a dolly they will let you use, but I find it odd they couldn't find it. How do you lose a dolly? My guess is they had it in the back with inventory and didn't want to unload it. Okay, fine. But I found out later they have two dollies. Second: I asked how many tires they had in front of mine, they said none. I asked if I could wait since it was 30 minutes each way to get to their store from my home. The guy at the counter seemed annoyed that he had to deal with me to begin with, but this question set him off for whatever reason. He said they won't do tires same day even if there isn't a wait. I asked why and he said "that's Cycle Gears policy". So I had to make two trips for no reason? Oh come on. Why would a business create a policy like this? Third: The next day they called me to tell me the tire was done and I could come pick it up. At least they had the dolly this time. I wheeled the tire out and headed home. My mistake was not inspecting the tire before I left. The installer tore off the OEM factory Honda wheel weights, but did not remove the foam and glue. Instead, they just slapped a new set of weights on the old foam. They also didn't center the weight strip on the center of the wheel, but left it overhanging the edge of the rim's center. Look at my pictures and you will see the weights sticking up on the old foam, and overhanging the center ridge. This made the weights incredibly easy to pop off with barely any pressure from my finger. I would wager the weights would not have stayed attached the first time I went through a puddle or stream. That was just sloppy, lazy and potentially unsafe at high speed. Fourth: I had to drive to their store a third time to have this corrected. However, I removed the weights, the old foam and glue myself before going back to make sure they it was properly cleaned up. It took me about 2 minutes with a little denatured alcohol and a shop towel. I arrived and asked the girl at the counter to speak with the manager. He was currently talking to a customer, but she said he would help me as soon as he was done. I waited. Then I waited some more. Finally I went and sat on their couches. Two more customers came in and he started helping them. I stood up and tried to get his attention to remind him I was already waiting and needed his help. He avoided makeing eye contact with me, then spoke with the girl at the counter and disappeared into the back where and was gone for at least ten more minutes. Finally he came back up front and talked to me after I had been waiting for about 25 minutes. I explained the siuation with the weights and he said he would go mount and balance the tire again for me. I sat back on the couch and he took my wheel into the back. It took about 20 minutes. I asked if they would refund me anything for the mount and balance since I had spent 2.5 hours so far driving back and forth to the store and still had another half hour to get home. He said they won't issue discounts or refunds on wheel services, even though he didn't charge me for the remount and balance. Those two things don't really add up. I left very irritated at their lack of customer service and mechcanical aptitude. Fifth: You have got to be kidding me. The tire slow leaked about 2 PSI per day. There is no way I am going to let them touch my rim and tire again. So I took the wheel back off my bike and instead went to Wrights Motorcycle in Salt Lake, about 45 minutes away. I got there and had to pay about $60 to remount and balance my tire. I chose them as they were the only place that could do it same day. Wright's said the leak was because they didn't remove a small chunk of rubber from the side of the rim. They said it was about 30 seconds of work. In the end, it cost me $90 to have my tire installed. It was a horrible experience from the moment I set foot in their store. I will never, ever step foot back in that store again. The guy at the counter was a complete jerk. The shop guy and the manager are both terrible at their jobs and neither can figure out how to properly mount and balance a tire. You guys were rude, incompetant and disrespectful of your customers time and money. Ridiculous. read more

Lots of selections and the prices seem fair. Everything for gear from head to toe literally. Biggest wall of helmet selections I've ever seen. The staff seemed willing to help, although I wandered around the store for quite some time before I was acknowledged. That's okay though, I kind of prefer that. I saw that they have tires and do installs and they had quite a few gadgets as well. I'm not sure if they are as far reaching in inventory as something like RevZilla, but they are pretty close! If you want to support a local business instead of mail order, check these guys out first. I only give a four star because the salesperson listened to me about the rain gear needs that I had and then steered me towards a brand that just seemed like a joke. He was young and not a V-Twin cruiser type if I'm any judge of character lol. I'd give four and a half stars if I could and they are better than a four so five stars it is. read more

I walked into the Draper Cyle Gear store knowing I needed a new motorcycle helmet, but unsure what to buy. The extraordinarily helpful salesman asked me some questions and then began letting me try on a variety of manufacturers from their huge selection of helmets. After finding the helmet that fit best, the salesman then quickly and professionally installed my Sena headphones. The price was fair and the service outstanding! Walked into the store this afternoon looking for some motorcycle pants. Beautiful store, but nobody was interested in helping me. There were two employees stocking stuff but not interested in helping anybody. There were a couple of others not getting any help either. All three of us walked out of the store at the same time. I was ready to spend some money but not if I'm going to be ignored. I guess I'll go buy my gear on line and it won't be from Cycle Gear. read more

I went In to get some gear and to get started on my new sport bike. When I went in I was immediately greeted and offered help. I apologize ahead if I misspelled the name but Leigh was the gentleman that helped me, we spent probably an hour or more going through helmets, boots and armor etc. very patient he was as I am a new rider and ask every possible question on everything. Leigh never tried to pressure me into high end items or into something I didn't want. He assured to give me detailed information about any product to be able to make the best decision for myself. I ended up purchasing a few things to get me started and now I'm comfortable being able to ride and know I can come in and receive the most absolute best guidance and recommendations. Great store! Today was the first time being at this establishment, previously, I've only been to a competing business, South Valley Motor Sports, just barely up the street, or around the parking lot. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with the prompt, friendly, helpful, attentive, and in depth service we received here! Everyone in the store was amazing, but specifically, Josh was fantastic! He helped us shop around for a jacket; he was patient with all our questions and never made us feel like an inconvenience for our numerous questions and requests for merchandise from out of reach locations (like I've felt at other stores). Their prices were about average, I would actually lean to a bit cheaper than other places I've been. They did have an amazing sale going on, so we got a great deal on our purchase! :) They also have a few private label brands if you're looking for a lower price without sacrificing safety/quality, etc. I was surprised at the amount of merchandise and selection of sizes, always a plus! They have a large women's selection as well, you don't see that too often :) I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of some gear! I am a new rider. I walked in not sure where to go or what to get. The staff jumped in right away to help me. They helped my pick out the right gloves, jacket and helmet. The product lines support riders of all style and quality. I have purchased many items for my on and off road motorcycles. The brand they advertise mostly is Bilt. I have a helmet from this company. It fits comfortably and is DOT approved. It is no SHOEI but it was definitely worth the price. read more

Worst customer service. Brandon made my husband and I feel like he was doing us a favor by helping us with helmets. Had to ask him several times for assistance, even tho the store had no other customers besides us. He gave us his attention grudgingly. We felt he was more interested in flirting with the other female associate. We dropped $434.00 on 2 helmets, no small chunk of change for us... and felt like it was a nothing to him. If there was another CG nearby, we would definitely take our business there next time. I would rate the store on merchandise a 10, but his customer service at a minus. read more
