I used to love coming to this store, but I guess the employees I usually talk to dont work there anymore. Today there were two guys hanging out behind the counter just talking, laughing, and watching videos on their phone. I was the only customer in the store and in 15 minutes of browsing, not once did any of them ask me if I wanted assistance, which I did. Decided to walk out and bring my business elswhere. Took my dirt bike tire here twice now for tire swaps and service has been nothing but disappointing. Both times i had taken them days in advance to be swapped and the first time i was given the run around that its not ready when they said it would be. I went in myself and they straight said that they haven't even looked at it. They did manage to get it done but nonetheless its not a good look on their part. The second time i drop it off hoping things would be better this time since i did purchase the tire and all from them. Second time was even worse i gave them 3 days in advance and they said they would call when it was ready. I go in again 3 days later and again the wheel hasnt even been touched. Total BS on their part and full of excuses. IF YOU CANT PROVIDE A SERVICE DONT OFFER IT!!! read more

So far so good. Went there yesterday to buy a helmet for my upcoming CMSP training. Friendly and helpful staff. The place is clean. Taking into account the SARS-COV-2 pandemic. Parking is easy. Parking lot is shared with other businesses on the plaza. Inside the store, they follow the COVID-19 safety precautions. There is a big bottle of hand sanitizer on the table just as you enter the store. The store associate, the older guy on the staff, is very helpful to a newbie like me. My first visit to Cycle Gear. I was helped primarily by Ryan. Ryan spent considerable time with me, helping me decide on a helmet after giving me a fitting. Also helped me with information about shoes, bike cover, gloves, riding jacket options and other gear. I was also helped by Steven initially for gloves and Steven showed me some of the sizes and details available online for a size 14 wide shoe. Since they carry a limited range of shoes, they told me I can order the size I need online and have them shipped to the store or my home. If they do not fit correctly, I can return them and order a different pair to try. Ryan said that it takes about 3 days average for items ordered online to arrive at the store, depending on the vendor. They were considerably busy for a rainy Friday night, but both were very helpful and informative. My first impression is what I hope to find wherever I do business. I want to know my time is valued. I want to talk to knowledgeable people. I want to feel valued as a customer. I want to be presented with options. So 5-Stars for Cycle Gear's two employees for providing beyond my expectations. Selection wise, they have plenty of helmets, quite a few different brands, somewhat limited on colors, lots of black and gray helmets. Ryan took the time to inform me about the different kinds of materials, ratings, etc. Riding shoes and boots are limited to a small range of styles, with the maximum foot size being 13, and only a few in 13 (at the actual store). Quite a few kinds of riding gloves available, quite a lot of riding jackets. I do not recall seeing any riding pants but I wasn't looking for any. It's a decent sized store, I wasn't sure how big it would be. It was not as big as I thought it might be, be not as small either. It's a moderate sized store. They have a range of prices from Economical, to higher top end. I found the prices very competitive to the prices I saw when looking at similar items on Amazon, and several items I purchased were better quality with a better price than I saw on Amazon. I enjoyed my visit, and as my first time at a motorcycle / scooter specific gear store, I felt very welcome and enjoyed the service I received. Updated The following day: I needed to return my helmet for an exchange and pick up an item I had placed on Reserve. I worked with Steven on the Exchange and he made a somewhat complicated transaction, easy in addition to giving me a $25 gift card promo that the Cycle Gear was running, that I didn't receive the previous night. I was really impressed with the Cycle Gear's return policy. I feel confident between the initial purchases and the return and exchange, to say, I highly recommend Cycle Gear in Azusa. read more

Ryan is the absolute best worker there is. We came in today having only 1/8 idea of what we were looking for, but Ryan was super helpful. He was super informative and answered all our stupid questions. He also continuously tried to find a helmet that would fit my abnormally shaped head. And yes. My head is extremely round and huge. He explained that most helmets are oval shaped, not circular so it was really difficult finding a helmet that could fit me. But surprisingly, after maybe 10 helmets, we found one that was super comfortable and snug. Ryan was super nice, super chill, and super attentive. He definitely knows his stuff. I never knew there was a Cycle Gear store in Azusa. It's about 10 minutes away from me but still a good drive to go and look at what's in stock. I needed a new jacket and back protector, I'm a bigger guy and this location had some jackets (3-4xl) in my size so I was happy that they had stuff in stock for me. They had a large selection of helmets, jackets, and much more. Steven was knowledgable, friendly, and very patient in helping me on a busy Tuesday. Steven was young but he showed me true customer service the entire time I was there and I couldn't have been more impressed. I've been here about 2 years ago and the workers were not attentive at all, one of them was actually rude. Came back today, 3 guys working, not attentive at all. One of them came over said what he had to say regarding the helmet and disappeared, very unprofessional and it makes me wonder if the owner or manager has that same try like a piece of toast personality. This is the second time my fiancé and I have visited this location and the customer service has been amazing! The first time we needed help exhanging a helmet for a different size and the sales associate was attentive and helpful with all of our questions. Unfortunately we thought the helmet didn't fit quite right in store because of the mask and so decided to purchase and try at home which ended up not fitting correctly. They have an excellent return policy allowing 90 days to return. Fast forward to yesterday's return. When walking in we were greeted and helped by Preston. I honestly can't say enough good things about him! He was so patient and knowledgeable. And even though we were ready to give up on finding a helmet that fits, he continued trying and found one! This helmet did not come with bluetooth which is what we were looking for to connect with my helmet, but we were able to buy separately. Preston took the time to wire it and make sure it connected to our phone. His customer service was above and beyond!! While we were waiting I was able to see various interactions in the store. All the workers seem to be young guys but were so knowledgeable and helpful to every person that walked in. Highly recommend this store and will be back for any of our riding needs. read more

Hope this helps for people buying things at the Azuza location. I purchased some TCX Dartwood ridding boots for $190 on May 5th. They boots glue came off on the seem where it beds. I only ride on weekends. I went to Sturgis last week and the bouts glue came off while riding in the rain. This is a $200 boot and didn't last at all. Besides the point when I came in my first contact Josue was first to greet me, I told him my concern and started to point out that he has the same boot and that did not happen to his. His comments "looks like you use those boot on a daily and even do construction with it". The acting supervisor was the same. No help at all. First reaction was he will not take them back. All I wanted was an exchange . Boots are expensive and didn't even last more than 3 months. I only ride in weekends. This store is very unprofessional and I will not be coming back. I will be talking to higher supervisors on this matter as acting supervisor at the point of contact "Chris Garcia" wasn't very mush help. Josue is very unprofessional for saying I work construction with my riding boots as he walked away from me not even trying to help me out. Hope the Store manager sees this and trains his team on how to treat customers. read more

i've been looking for a new pair of motorcycle boots and found a pair i but have somewhat wide feet so need a good toe box on all my shoes. i thought i found a pair online so ordered them and had them sent to this store. they fit terribly so the store recommended another pair and ordered those and they didn't work either but the assistant manager, ryan, was patient and knowledgeable at recommending another brand that they had in stock and they not only fit great but looked better than the other pairs i had found in my own! thanks ryan and i will recommend your store to all my buddies who ride! read more

Do not come here if your looking for fast or efficient service. Went here with my boyfriend to purchase a helmet. Felt like we walked onto a car parking lot, the employee was hovering around every moment we didn't want her to be. And then when we finally did need her she wasn't there. All we needed was a check for helmet size and when she finally acknowledged us she left us hanging for a very long time and even helped people in line after us. We just bounced cause we waited an extremely long time for something very simple. They lost a 200$ sale for no reason, would not recommend this store just buy it on Amazon its the same price or cheaper and you won't have to deal with nonsense. read more
