John worked on my job over 26 hours and it still is neither completed nor at the caliber one would expect for $2,000! The Job: I requested weatherstripping and paint on two exterior doors. I selected John because he seemed friendly and kind in his bid. In person, he was indeed friendly and kind, even eager to please. Unfortunately John doesn't possess the skill set to do this job well. He lacks any sense of time management and is obviously not a painter. Plus, he has terrible choice in assistants. The Assistant: A creepy man in a cowboy hat, constantly attempting to hug me full front and also side arm. He landed a few kisses on my head and face. He told me over and over that he loved me and he tried to get me to write down his phone number to call him personally. "Don't tell the boss he doesn't like it when I do this." No kidding! I felt UNSAFE in my own home. I consider this behavior harassment and I spoke to John about it. The assistant wasn't present at the subsequent visits. Thank you, John. Communication: John was over 2 1-2 hours late for two of our three meetings. Read that again. 2.5 hours late twice, texting me at the time he was supposed to show up. For our third meeting I had to coax him into coming at our agreed upon time. He contacted me to say he'd be late and I convinced him that he needed to show up at our agreed time. Furthermore, John told me the work would take an hour, two at the most. At the first visit, the job took 8 hours for two men to do. The work was very unsatisfactory, so John came back a second time. He said it would take at the most 2 hours. It was an 8 1/2 hour day and the work was not satisfactory when he left my house. On the third and final day John said it should take an hour, two at the most. We know what that means ... ELEVEN hours later my Business Manager sent John home. Conclusion: If John couldn't get a simple paint job right in 26 hours, he never will. The most disturbing part of all was that he couldn't see or identify the errors. We kept asking him, "what do you think needs to be corrected," and he couldn't tell us more than the areas I'd already pointed out. I'll share some photos. Can you see what went wrong? If so, you're several steps ahead of John and his creepy assistant.

I ASKED MORE THAN ONCE FOR AN ESTIMATE and all "K" kept saying was "you will be very happy with the price I promise." I was a widow all of 2 months and disabled and they knew this but took advantage anyway. Yesterday I sent "K" pics showing the front door (no exterior handle, mind you, and just a hook lock!) and asked him to replace the crap door his people chose and installed improperly and gave them 2 weeks to right their (they didnt even measure the door!) and he did not reply so this company of cowboys do NOT back their work. Photos showing ALL the problems with his work will follow. UNLICENSED AS WELL except for the "M" in the company who is supposedly a 'master electrician'. Being personable is never a substitute for solid work. RUN!!!

The grout it uneven some thicker than other. The baseboard are just not finished looking .The project took a lot longer than he said it would . It definitely sucks because we saved up a lot of money to do our floors. I really hope you can get some years out of our floor. I had camera set up in my house. And we stayed at my mom's house for about three weeks in Beaumont so that is a complete lie. I had a newborn baby and toddlers so there is no way we would have had my kids here with all that dust and chemicals with a new born . We were never home. We gave them the code to be coming in and out every single day. I should've said something the day that they were finished so they could fix it. .I personally did not get to speak to them when they finished. Because they were gone before we returned home. He walked us through the timeline and process of an electrical panel upgrade, 220V run to our spa, EV charger install, aided in spa placement to meet code requirements, and in addition to all that, he tackled numerous electrical jobs inside and below our home from inspection reports. He always gave us as thorough timelines as he could, considering code enforcement, permitting process, and BVES inspections can be unpredictable.
