The pharmacy seemed to be the most staffed part of the store, there were more behind the counter than any place else in the store. That's partly because of all the unmanned self-checkout kiosks in the front, somewhat crowded with a lot of other displays, service counters, and devices, many of which had "out of order" signs on them. The dark colored carpet and the dim lights add to the dreariness.

Blame the Dr who sent the script, blame the insurance company, "oh, we never received it, must be a computer problem". "Can't fill it until tomorrow, Wallgreen's policy" the very next day they hand you a bottle with 180 pills in it. "We can only fill 30 days of a 90 day script, you need to come back two more times", well... NYS law proved them wrong, again! I used this pharmacy for 7 years, had to finally say "NO MORE" Refusal to fill as legally prescribed, continued delays in filling critical medication, inventory problems, significant staff turnover, training problems for front line staff, the manager of the store didn't know the pharmacist was an actual doctor. Wow... I have had to correct the pharmacist several times, had the insurance company tell them they are wrong, all of this while standing in the store waiting for them to do their jobs. Go to WalMart, they help fix issues, they remembered me after one visit and they corrected two insurance issues. So... leave these so called healthcare providers aside and go someplace else!!!

They're on a first name basis with their regular customers and help them out as much as possible. But this is yet another Eckerd which was converted to a Rite Aid when Rite Aid bought them out, and, like many others, I feel the rest of the store has gone downhill. The inventory isn't anywhere near as good as it used to be outside of medical supplies, and prices have been generally higher.

Absolutely terrible pharmacy in terms of customer service and communication. Try calling - you'll…read morebe left on hold forever (not enough staff to handle in-store and in-calling needs). The counter people in the pharmacy are not highly skilled at finding existing prescriptions - I've been told before by counter staff that there are no prescriptions in the system for me (which would have caused me to have to contact my doctor and take up their time re-sending it) - yet the pharmacist (which I asked for) was able to easily find it. The pharmacy often does not have certain medications in stock. Be ready for multiple delays if this happens: 1) they have to order the medication, 2) they have to process your insurance, 3) they'll tell you the Rx is ready but when you go pick it up (and wait in line) you'll be told they're out of that medication. If you press them, they'll MAYBE discover that it's there - but still in the shipping crate - at which point they'll ask you to come back later to pick it up. I've had to wait more than a week multiple times, to get my medication because of these sorts of problems. The pharmacy has not prioritized streamlining their systems - for example, processing your insurance at the time you present a prescription - to save you that wait wen you come back.

Ah good old Stewart's, it wouldn't be a trip home without a trip to this place…read more Stewart's is a chain of convenience stores, some of them have gas stations too. This particular location is a few streets away from Broadway in Saratoga, where you will also find yet another Stewart's. This store was clean and well lit. This is the perfect place to stop in when you forget to buy milk or eggs at the grocery store. Stewart's has their own brand of beer too, it's fairly inexpensive and not too bad. A lot of my friends and acquaintances in the area love the ice cream from here, I would give it about 8 out of 10. There are a TON of flavor options!! This is definitely an inexpensive place to pick up a tasty frozen treat for a price that won't break the bank. Good place to take kids and you can use your debit/credit card, some of the mom and pop ice cream stands require you to have cash. You can buy pre-packaged cartons of ice cream or get a cone/sundae. So if you are wandering Saratoga and looking for ice cream, I recommend giving this a try over Cold Stone. You will probably save a few bucks!
