My father was in the hospital due to a major and serious first time seizure. He was in for 7 days until they could find the right meds. They sent him home but the seizure meds were very difficult to come by. The distributor for cvs was out of this particular med. They were on backorder. There was nothing else anyone at CVS could do. The pharmacist K, Edmo even tried to call the neurologist for an alternative to make sure my dad would have this crucial medication or something similar. The doctors never called back. Amber gave me great advice about which other pharmacies may have a different distributor. This did the trick and I was able to find another pharmacy that had the needed med. I still couldn't get a hold of his neurologist and had to have the script called in by another one of my fathers doctors. Thank you everyone at cvs!!

You really should avoid this branch. Just had a frankly weird customer service experience just…read moretrying to buy some candy. The candy was discounted, 3 boxes for $5. When it was rang up, one of the candies wasn't getting included in the 3 for $5 discount, although the sign on the shelf clearly states it should be included. Instead of like saying "hold on, let's take a look", the cashier pulls out a phone, angrily sighs and curses that she has to log into the device, scans the problem-rang up candy with her phone, and, again, states "that one is ringing up $2.09. The box is bigger so therefore it is scanning right." uh, no. the price of the shelf disagrees. She then says to the next customer that she "tries not to let negativity in the world affect her". I don't what school of customer service this person flunked out of, but she definitely does not belong in this job. Walgreens, this branch just lost a long time customer: I am moving my prescriptions elsewhere. Hello CVS!

Dr's of Pharmacy that don't provide care, just find a way to get you out of the way. They have…read moreplenty of customers. Blame the Dr who sent the script, blame the insurance company, "oh, we never received it, must be a computer problem". "Can't fill it until tomorrow, Wallgreen's policy" the very next day they hand you a bottle with 180 pills in it. "We can only fill 30 days of a 90 day script, you need to come back two more times", well... NYS law proved them wrong, again! I used this pharmacy for 7 years, had to finally say "NO MORE" Refusal to fill as legally prescribed, continued delays in filling critical medication, inventory problems, significant staff turnover, training problems for front line staff, the manager of the store didn't know the pharmacist was an actual doctor. Wow... I have had to correct the pharmacist several times, had the insurance company tell them they are wrong, all of this while standing in the store waiting for them to do their jobs. Go to WalMart, they help fix issues, they remembered me after one visit and they corrected two insurance issues. So... leave these so called healthcare providers aside and go someplace else!!!

I haven't been too all 8000 locations, but it's fair to say that I've been to a decent number of Walgreens and I'm ready to call the one of my hometown the friendliest. It could be that I go there fairly often, but it's great to be greeted by name and with a smile. Whenever there's something that I can't find, it never takes more than a minute to find someone to help me track down those hard-to-find jelly beans or paper towels. Though I do like to support locally-owned businesses when possible, it's great to know that friendly service doesn't have to disappear when you go corporate. One final note: while traveling recently, I went to a Walgreens location and entered via the automatic door to the right. It's easy enough to do, since I'd parked on the right side and both doors were approximately three feet apart. However, once inside, there was a bar separating the in door from the out door (evidently the one I'd entered), forcing me to walk all the way around the checkout counters to do my shopping. At the Gloversville location, there's just one door for entry and exit, so you're never corralled around.

They're on a first name basis with their regular customers and help them out as much as possible. But this is yet another Eckerd which was converted to a Rite Aid when Rite Aid bought them out, and, like many others, I feel the rest of the store has gone downhill. The inventory isn't anywhere near as good as it used to be outside of medical supplies, and prices have been generally higher.

The pharmacy area in the back is large, though what few chairs they have are somewhat cramped along one side. There is a customer consultation area behind the pharmacy for things like briefings and vaccinations. The man behind the counter at the register was very friendly. Just be careful if you are backing out of one of the parking spaces from the West Avenue entrance, because that gets a lot of traffic from the customers proceeding to the drive-thru prescription area on the Washington Street side.

Absolutely terrible pharmacy in terms of customer service and communication. Try calling - you'll…read morebe left on hold forever (not enough staff to handle in-store and in-calling needs). The counter people in the pharmacy are not highly skilled at finding existing prescriptions - I've been told before by counter staff that there are no prescriptions in the system for me (which would have caused me to have to contact my doctor and take up their time re-sending it) - yet the pharmacist (which I asked for) was able to easily find it. The pharmacy often does not have certain medications in stock. Be ready for multiple delays if this happens: 1) they have to order the medication, 2) they have to process your insurance, 3) they'll tell you the Rx is ready but when you go pick it up (and wait in line) you'll be told they're out of that medication. If you press them, they'll MAYBE discover that it's there - but still in the shipping crate - at which point they'll ask you to come back later to pick it up. I've had to wait more than a week multiple times, to get my medication because of these sorts of problems. The pharmacy has not prioritized streamlining their systems - for example, processing your insurance at the time you present a prescription - to save you that wait wen you come back.

Well, they say they have the best milk in NY state…read more So who could turn down a chance to chug some of that milk at this family-run convenience chain? Yes, the milk was really good. It was smooth as silk and refreshing! I'd vouch for it any day. The store itself was decent and a pretty good size. It's also located near Broadway and by a big parking lot so it's easy to get to. The ice creams here also looked really good but I was already stuffed from drinking a big chug of their famous milk, but it's definitely next on my list!
