There is never a smooth experience here. I often get messages that my Rx is ready, only to get there and find they're not. I get it: they are BUSY. And everyone that works there are nice. They're just overburdened. They should get rid of the CVS store portion and just make this a mega pharmacy. read more

Picking a a prescription from CVS on Delaware Ave in Wilmington, I was overcharged $20. I didn't realize it until I got home. I talked to the manager about it and he said that he would look into it and check the video. Then he had to check with his boss who supposedly looked at it , BUT didn't see the transaction,sooo no $20 for me. read more

If you can go somewhere else RUN not walk there. This pharmacy is HORRIBLE. The manager Tara and pharmacist Nick just don't care. The staff here act as if you are bothering them and they don't know the words smiling, being friendly, or caring. If I didn't have to come to CVS, I sure would be going somewhere else, but due to insurance I am forced here. Also, don't expect to get a return call from Tara or from the CVS company. I typically hate listing reviews of chains, especially when they aren't restaurants but this CVS deserves it's own Yelp* entry; the pharmacy actually. I've rarely had the experience with any retail establishments that I've had with the pharmacy staff at this store. Friendly, accommodating, willing the go the extra step, offering to call my doctor in Manhattan several times during my stay in Wilmington to obtain authorizations for medications, giving me complimentary/free meds for the weekend when I've been out and they couldn't reach my doc for refill approval, ALWAYS friendly, all of the staff, not just one. The pharmacy manager at this store deserves special recognition from the company for having such an incredible staff, friendly, warm, helpful. I can't recommend them enough. read more

This CVS is their closest location to where I work and it's convenient for a quick stop on the way in or out of Trolley Square. I think their problems really originate from CVS corporate. The last time I went there to pick up something, the cashier couldn't figure out how to add a coupon that was already loaded onto my CVS card. She had to ask someone else from another department and that took nearly 10 minutes. So that's either a training issue or a usability problem. That aside, this CVS store is pretty much identical to other CVS stores in the area in what they stock, i.e. they have a lot of useless homeopathic crap on the shelves but not one single bee sting treatment. But if you're looking for candy, cosmetics and quackery, they've got your back! read more

Today there were no bags (of course it was the one time I forgot to bring mine) and 4 people in line with one cashier. Three days ago, there was only one employee in the whole store and she was out smoking at the time I approached the register. Wow - never ceases to amaze me at how unfriendly and unhelpful the people are at this location. After climbing over more than five associates in addition to bins and boxes in the card aisle I made my selection and went to the register. For about five minutes I waited as the associate was on the phone to be rung up. Usually people multi task and help ring you out. Nope. Not one of the nearly half dozen from the aisle helped nor did the manager that walked past me. He knew I was waiting but proceeded to act like I wasn't there. Poor customer service to say the least! This CVS has been a welcome presence in downtown Wilmington. It really has no competition. The store is spacious, well-stocked and clean, but that's not what makes this place stand out. It's the outstanding pharmacy that makes this chain store noteworthy. The friendly and professional staff go out of their way to help customers. That makes me want to return to the store even if the purpose of my visit is nothing more than a pack of gum. read more

My.wife and I have used cvs pharmacies all along the eastern seaboard due to travel with our work. This by far has been the worst one I have ever dealt with. Simple pain medication prescriptions, try to fill, we're out, when will it come.in, shrug.of shoulders. Can you call.other cvs for me.to see.of they have, sorry, we are busy. I use to get my medicine from CVS on Maryland Avenue and it was a pleasure. The Pharmacist staff was professional, understanding and polite. I hated to see them close their location on April 1, 2019. My prescriptions were sent to Delaware Avenue. I went there yesterday to see if my prescription was ready that my Cancer doctor called in for me and it was totally a different experience. People begging for money at the front door, rude pharmacy staff boxes in the middle of the isles. I will be finding me another pharmacy. I could not believe it. Michael, the pharmacist from Maryland Avenue moved to Claymont. That's far for me but I will have to go there. read more

I agree it's dumb to review a chain store, but this CVS is a needed addition to Trolley Square. Big, clean, drove through pharmacy- all are needed in this area. After standing in line for at least 30 minutes at happy Harrys every time I go there, this place has quick and friendly service. read more

I feel weird writing a Yelp review for a CVS, but... I. Love. This Place. It's huge, clean, well-organized. The pharmacy staff are incredibly helpful and attentive, and I never wait longer than 10 minutes to have an Rx filled on the spot (even when they've been super busy).
