My first time at Trader Joe's, the cashier Dom was so friendly. He gave me a reusable bag for free because it was my first experience there! I've stopped in a twice more to grab a quick wrap for lunch. I enjoy their buffalo chicken wrap. It is definitely on the spicier side so don't forget to get a drink with it. The atmosphere although *busy* is friendly and welcoming. Everything always looks well stocked and the flowers are very pretty. read more

Trader Joe's can often be a place you love to go but dread to go, with small aisles and often too many people but honestly I never feel like this at this location ! It's so easy to grab what you need and get out. Outlining the store upon entry is your produce, prepared meals, dairy and drinks, meat, and the bread aisle to your far left. Super easy to navigate ! If you do need anything from the inside aisles they are often empty except for the frozen food section lol. Even still they are wide enough to get through and get what you need. DE only has two TJ's and this has become preferred location even with mall traffic and a tight parking lot. The lines to check out are never long and the staff is quick to hop on and open up others if needed. read more

This is a nice Trader Joe's at the Christiana Mall. It has all my favorite Trader Joe's essentials and fun snacks. Service is very very good. The cashiers are very nice. They very easily run out of organic strawberries though, and they don't sell any alcohol. read more

Hey, its Trader Joes. Its just like the ones on 202 and in Ardmore I've been to. With the exception it's newer and a lil more space to operate inside. Its nice to have one mid county now. Lots of organic meats and vegetables. My only concern is that with all the 1960's leftover burnt out hippie retiree Boomers that were on site, its going to take me weeks to get the smell of Bernie Sanders out of my clothes....lol.... Last night I had my first experience at a Trader Joe's! I was traveling home from the beach and stopped in Christiana for the mall and the Trader Joe's. Such a nice grocery store, but what really made my experience special was JARED with the cool hair at check out. He was so friendly and thoughtful when checking me out. I split a cart with my gf and she was in another line. I told him I would carry my bags out but he put them in her cart in the other line without me asking. He also let me know what bag my cold stuff was in. Exceptional customer service!! All of the staff seem so friendly and worked so well together. Thank you Jared! I'll definitely be back to this Trader Joe's even tho I live in Lancaster PA. read more

If you want to shop here I suggest you look elsewhere. I've gotten sick so many times on their pre-made salads and sandwiches and there is ALWAYS some kind of recall (check before you shop) and sometimes there is no expiration dates on items. I've bought flowers that look pretty but end up being in bad shape when I get home. I've bought plants that look healthy but end up dying within days/weeks and if you want to speak to a Manager forget it. They are RUDE and dismissive and act like you are bothering them. Even had one walk away and go into the back! They seem like they don't want to listen to customers or act like they even care. At least the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I've had at least two staff members I interacted with on a few recent trips that stick out in my mind. A girl named Corrine (not sure of the spelling) and Emily. Both had a smile, were super sweet and were very helpful. If I saw either on check out, I made sure to grab their lanes. They always made sure I was satisfied and found everything I wanted. I got more attention from ALL the staff than the Managers or Supervisors or whatever they claim to be. I would think the Managers would be as friendly and helpful as the staff but trust me, they aren't! Also, make sure you check everything for expiration dates and mold before you put it in your cart. read more

2.5 stars. I usually love traders but this location seems to be lacking a lot of products and has limited selection on fruit, vegetables and meat. It is a traders and I got 90% of what I needed but my expectation was not even close to being met. read more

YEEEEESSSSS!! I don't have to fight 202's traffic anymore! Trader Joe's is now open in the Christiana Mall Fashion District!! As always with Trader Joe's, there was a great selection of products and friendly staff. What won me over at this location, was staff member Arden's (hopefully I remembered that correctly) attention to detail and customer service level. She saw a few customers getting confused at the line setup, so she took the initiative to ask her coworker to give me a gift of flowers for the inconvenience. Talk about above and beyond service!! Y'all have got to come to this location! PS. Get the frozen butter chicken and naan when you do. read more

Christiana Trader Joe's is fabulous. I called to make sure they had an item in stock. The phone was promptly answered in a friendly manner. The crew member not only checked the computer, but went and double checked the shelf, to be certain of its availability. After locating the item, the crew member, of his own volition(!), asked if I wanted him to hold the item for me. To my shock, when I entered the store and went to customer service, the crew stopped their conversation, immediately acknowledged me, and another crew member came up, and volunteered to get my item. Every crew member was friendly, professional, and competent. The store was well stocked and clean. These people understand the meaning and importance of customer service. It is the first time in years that I encountered employees who acted like they were glad to do their job, instead of acting like I should be grateful they deigned to show up. These wonderful crew members made this the best shopping experience Imhave had in at least 5 years. read more

The time has come since I've been anticipating the grand opening of a Trader Joe's in Newark. Much more convenient. No more battling a constant dreading drive to Wilmington on 202. Although it is in the very busy Christiana Fashion Center, the crowd wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Aisles are much more spacious and everything is pretty much stocked. I was able to do a full walk around at ease. Plus everyone was friendly. read more

The store was very packed when we went but we did go 4 days after it opened. Love the chocolate croissants, cauli cheese jalapeño dip, cookie butter, and sparkling watermelon juice. This newly opened Trader Joe's is great, tax free and no need to travel to the one on 202, which is a big save on a drive. Employees are nice. They tend to run out of stock quick because of the high traffic, however, they do a great job of restocking as quickly as possible as well.
