Their prices are comparable to all other pharmacy chains. The value is outstanding. I highly recommend the Westport Apothecary. It's a real gem in a world where the remaining pharmacies have become retail chains with personalized services that evaporated when the giant conglomerates bought up all the independent pharmacies.

I was in line about 30min only to get to the register to learn they had filled my script and didn't know why. Off to the drop off line. I asked what was going on as the CVS app I have said it was filled the day before. She said it was the insurance---- and with a few keystrokes insurance approved. Hmmmmm So then advised I could wait another for it to be filled or come back.

I was told that my latest refill would be "ready within the hour. Three and a half hours later, it hasn't even been started. Challenging the clerk resulted in a shrug. Waiting for the refill, watched the clerks lie to 5 other customers. For whatever reason, this store is in a world of hurt. But why go to a pharmacy that lies to you. Also if you are disabled and use the drive-through, they only do refills in one lane and the machine is broken at least half the time. Every single person working the window is quick, competent, professional, friendly, and efficient. If there is ever a line, which is rare, it never seems to be due to the employees, but the customers, and as soon as that person is finished, the line clears right up again. Any time I've had some issue that prevented an under-two-minutes pickup of my prescription, it was due to something other than the people at this location, like the insurance company. In several years of using this pharmacy, I have never had a problem caused by them. That is a huge contrast to when I used both another pharmacy company in the area which would tell me my Rx was ready when it wasn't, and another Walgreens at a different location where it took almost an hour for them to figure out how to put my insurance info in their system. These people at this location clearly take pride in their jobs, and it shows. I recommend them to anyone I hear complain about a pharmacy. This CVS is conveniently located nearby a bunch of hotels on Main. However, my rating goes from 4 stars to 2 starts after a bad interaction with one of the staffers at the pharmacy register. I felt that this staffer judged me based on what I looked like to her and treated me inappropriately. Should you encounter weirdness or nastiness from people working here, don't let this ruin you day or your trip if you're a vacationer like me. There are other pharmacies on the island.
