It's 1:45 and I needed to use the restroom because the pharmacist had us waiting. Apparently even tho it is by appointment, you still have to get in the prescription pickup line. So by the time we were finished I needed to go. Desperately... the pictures speak a thousand words. I told the girl at the register and she was absolutely not interested. To think that the pharmacist made us wait extra time for not getting in the prescription pickup line but he can't get anyone to clean or care about the bathroom, frustrating..

I found the area clean and overall nicely stocked. Something missing unless I did not see was a blood pressure machine. I now use them often to see how I'm doing, so this would be a great addition. So a bit sneaky I admit, but I checked out all my groceries + two OTC items at the pharmacy to avoid the storm lines that were insane!!! The cashier understood with a slight roll of the eye and smile. It was a friendly encounter and smooth transaction. The space has had a number of occupants over the years. When we moved to Virginia Beach, it was an A&P. That gave water to a Farm Fresh. Both were long term grocers who eventually went out of business. The space was emptied for a while as Haygood Shopping Center underwent a massive face lift in anticipation of Harris Teeter. Having previously shopped at their store near Sam's Club on Virginia Beach Boulevard I anticipated the opening. But the reality brought a lack of customer service in the spacious store with wide aisles. For years I never considered shopping at Harris Teeter. Lately I've reevaluated that choice. I've found they have my favorite flavor of high protein yogurt. Their produce is fresh & full of flavor. A big plus is their distilled water in the type of container that's easy to maneuver. It's also priced right. Harris Teeter is definitely is a step above a number of the chain grocers in Coastal Virginia. But it's a step below others, lacking the prepared or ready to prepare entrees that make life so much easier. I'm happy I rediscovered Harris Teeter. It's nice to add another store to my shopping mix.

I tried calling in to initiate getting my prescriptions refilled. There was no option to speak with anyone on the pharmacy, it only allowed me to leave a voicemail. Waited 2 days, no one called back. Came on person today and stood in the pharmacy line for some time before anyone addressed me. Note, there was only one other customer waiting and there were several workers behind the desk. While waiting, I also overheard the techs complaining/bad mouthing customers. No names mentioned but still not a good look. Hope things improve here.
