This review is for the pharmacy and vaccination services only and first time this location. With construction I would not return. Scheduled my daughters flu shot online which was easy. Since under 18 I needed to accompany with insurance card. Staff was ok, very busy! A health sheet was completed and signed. The appointment was for noon and taken back 12:20. The pharmacy repeatedly hangs up on you, which is really unacceptable & highly annoying!!

This location is great! When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by two smiling and friendly staff members --- Bryan and Tracey. Nice change to go into a store where individuals actually don't mind greeting and assisting customers. The pharmacy team was equally nice-- although there was a line, or moved quickly -- the young man working on 10/2/25 was super nice, fast, and efficient. Great job Laskin Road Walgreens. read more

I just moved so this is going to be my new primary Walgreens. For better or worse. Off Laskin aka "horrible traffic and construction since the mid-2005s road". Since I'm in transition my doctor sent my scripts to the wrong pharmacy first - then changed it - but not before one was already filled at the old spot and waiting for me. So cue insurance issue when this one tried to fill it. I called the next day and explained to the pharmacist who promptly pulled it from the other one - cancelled it - and filled it so I could get both at one spot and not drive all over. She had it ready quickly and was super nice about it. I stopped in that evening after work and, while traffic and construction was bad, once that was all navigated and I got to the drive through, it moved super quickly and the agent at the window was friendly and efficient. He updated my new address for me bc, even though I did it online, the script was wrong. Great first impression. I haven't been inside and I know pharmacies aren't perfect. But I'm usually fairly impressed with Walgreens over their competitors. read more

Every single time we use this pharmacy it takes HOURS...All day and asking them to get RX ready. Excuse is always that they are short staffed or someone didn't come in that day but I've counted at least 4-5 staff in the pharmacy. All I needed today was a z pack. First time I stopped by to check on it, pharmacy said they received it at 12:30 and wouldn't have it until 3. My husband went at 4 to pick it up and they told him another hour and half. I went to doctor and got this RX at 11am. I am giving up and sending all my prescriptions to Kroger now. They told me they could fill it in 30 mins. read more

omg do not get me started on lynette the pharmacist.. she literally told me "i'm not calling your insurance company, you​ call them. "​ the least customer service ii have ever received, the most rudeness i've ever encountered. i've even spoken with their district manager and rather than telling me he would deal with her, he wanted to explain to me how something works there. i don't care how it works as long as the employees can work it, which apparently they can't, and a managers job is to take a complaint seriously.. mine haven't been taken seriously. lynette hung up on me today... i have it recorded.. so i went to the store to find out why, and she continued her blatent smart allecky rudeness. i've never been so offended, all because she refuses to do hey job and call my secondary insurance...what a frickin joke...she really should be careful., the next person may not be so tolerant of her attitude. read more

Hopped into this place to pick up some vitamins and minerals I needed to stock up on. This store is clean and the customer service is good. The only issue I really had with this place was the lack of options. There weren't very many brand options for the vitamin section. I ended up with Nature Made but would have liked to have seen a better selection offered to patrons. read more

This review is for the pharmacy only. After yesterday I've finally decided to jump ship and switch my prescriptions somewhere else. Every month there is always a problem when I try to pick up, it shouldn't be this complicated. I could deal with it every once in a while if I wasn't met with a pharmacy staff that has the customer service skills of prison guards. Not only does there customer service skills suck but there are always at minimum 5 people behind the counter and they manage to move at the speed of molasses. I leave every time frustrated thinking "this can't be real". Done! read more

I'm from out of state and Walgreens took care of me as my if it was my home pharmacy.

So excited this new location is finally open. I've been waiting a long time as I was getting tired of taking my prescriptions to the location way down off Rosemont Rd. They chose a prime spot in the Hilltop area and I'm hoping they give the adjacent CVS a run for there money. I really like the store layout and stuff is easy to find. My only problem is the access to the place and it's not Walgreens, but the City of VaBeach's problem with that very old-school and awkward traffic setup on Laskin Rd. that we all love to hate. In my opinion the City needs to remove the center median and add on more lane. It would give an additional opportunity to fix the continuous roadway flooding problems that plague Laskin from 264 to the oceanfront during the summer months. **Overall, I'm to excited to say much more other than "Welcome to Hilltop Walgreens" Cheers! read more

I always go to Walgreens to fill my prescriptions as recommended by the GoodRx app. I pay cash for most of my medications. This pharmacy is outstanding, fast clean and courteous. I cannot ask for more. I suspect the previous yelp reviews do not paint a fair picture at all. I would not hesitate to use this in future. read more

I have been very dissatisfied with this Pharmacy for quite awhile. They are very understaffed, and unprofessional. They do not care about their customers at all! They gave me a generic form of one of my medications, when it was in my profile that I could not take this med. Then refused to take the medication back. So many mistakes with prescriptions, and not caring that they are in the wrong! I moved to Kroger's today, which I should have done a long time ago. But because they were at fault, and unconcerned at all. I will have pay full price for my medication now! Not good!! Next I will be issuing a complaint with tricare. You'd think a brand new Walgreen's would have an ample supply of breath mints. I was shocked to see the mint section was hardly stocked at all! The clerk was very rude when I asked when they might be getting in the wide variety of breath mints available at other Walgreens and she yelled "WE JUST OPENED SIR! YOU CAN'T EXPECT EVERYTHING TO BE PERFECT! DUH!". I was shocked and asked to speak to the manager. The fire alarm went off at that exact moment (the clerk claimed it was a scheduled test, but I think it wasn't) and all the customers including myself walked calmly out the front door. The clerk then locked the door and laughed at us. Me specifically. I will not be returning. Even if they eventually carry thousands of different kinds of breath mints. Pharmacy staff need a lesson in customer service. If your waiting on someone at the counter and all you hafta do is grab the prescriptions from the rack as I received a phone call from you saying it's ready then the retrieval process should be easy. Don't halfway start helping me,then pair up with a coworker to chat with another customer at the drive thru while I'm standing there for almost 20 minutes ONLY to come back with a couple of monster energy drinks asking another coworker to "ring you up". How about dealing with the customer that's Standing in front of you ! I was there before anyone else,And, a 3rd pharmacy staff member the entire time was having a personal conversation with a customer when she could have been helping as well. Standing there with an uncomfortable back injury for 20+ minutes while you guys do everything except complete my transaction which was already pulled is unacceptable. Terrible pharmacy. Son is now out of medicine because of being told "medicines on backorder" since 4 days ago. Staff doesn't communicate with each other at all and, as a result, the customer is made to suffer. If you ask a pharmacist representative a reasonable question and the answer is "I don't know" hang up or drive off. Not worth the lying hassle. read more

I will NEVER return to another Walgreens after the last experience I have had there! Racial profiling your customers, following them around the store and spying on them is NEVER okay! If this were an isolated issue I wouldn't even say anything about it being racially motivated. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to your location on First Colonial Rd in VA I have been followed, spied on and asked a million times if I need help finding anything although I always come in for the same 3 items! The icing on the cake is when security was called to the floor less than a minute after I entered the store AND several employees congregated while talking to one another and staring at me. I have never felt so uncomfortable spending my hard earned money in an establishment. You don't treat your customers that way! I will never return. My family will never return and I urge any person of color to not support such a business! read more
