I Scheduled a Covid vaccine three days ago, I had a confirmed appointment, I showed up this morning and upon arrival was told after waiting 20 minutes that my appointment was going to be canceled for today. I asked why ? and was told that the vaccines were frozen, I requested to come back later today and was told that they were booked for the day!! I told her I was already a confirmed customer and I should have a spot today and that she should squeeze me in somehow. I was told there was nothing they could do, that I need to just reschedule for another day. I took time off from work to go get this done , they didn't care one bit.! I arrived at 9:02, rushing to get here to get a prescription that was out in the Wilmington location. Rich, the pharmacist, opened up the gates--most likely after a long hard day--to get me the prescription. He, as well as the two pharmacies techs, were just wonderful and happy to help me. You don't find this kind of service and kindness anymore--they just as easily could have said, 'Sorry, we are closed' or 'Sorry, the registers are already closed.' But they didn't. This is pretty much what I would expect from a CVS - the shelves were well stacked, and it was clean. The prices were typical, which means they tend to be above average. I would not be surprised if you got better prices on things like health and beauty aids at the Market Basket next door. read more

Located next to a Home Goods and a Market Basket, this CVS location has a lot going for it. The best is that it has a Minute Clinic (which was the reason I came here) that seems to never be busy. Walk in appointments are accepted and there's never a line (unlike the numerous other places I've been to). Besides that, everything else about this location is cookie cutter. I've not noticed that they didn't stock their shelves, everything seemed to be in working order with all their counter tops full of merchandise. Good location and plenty of parking makes this the better CVS's out there. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Store front - Drugstores Near Me - TEWKSBURY, Massachusetts

I think their are people here that actually want to help, but somehow virtually every interaction I have with this location sucks. I moved here and have switched all meds, and for a little while they were still popping up in my old town. Also, I have been in Tewksbury since April-recently I had to go to another CVS and they said I was still in the system under my old town?!?!? When I went to that other location, I was told I had to wait an hour because they got no warning I was coming to this location. I could write all day on this topic. I know these are tough times with finding help, but clearly someone isn't doing something right because several of the problems are after talking with people at the store and them saying "everything is all set". Don't lie to people. I promise to update this review if they perform better but right now 1.5 is kind. I know they can do better and that probably has to start with CVS-offer better pay and hire some extra people who know what they are doing ASAP!!! read more

This CVS happens to also have a Minute Clinic which is a service through CVS provided by Caremark. This is what this review is based on. I haven't been feeling well and was happy to find out that several local CVS Pharmacies in the area offer such a service. After my last experience with my PCP and the stuff I am still dealing with I decided to try it out and have heard good things from others. The system itself is easy and all information is kept very private which is awesome for anyone. The NP who saw me today was super nice, listened attentively to everything I said and took the time to check and recheck me to ensure that I was getting the right diagnosis and offered several options for my further assessment. She even offered to call my PCP if I chose that option. A helpful hint if you decide to go to one of these Minute Clinics is if you can to go before or after 2. They generally take their lunch between 1pm and 2pm so in order to get in at a timely manner the safest bet is to go before 1230 or after 230 to ensure you get in and out quickly. The visits take about 15 minutes and are as thorough as needed. The prices are fair and they accept most insurances. A great service! read more

Useless and straight up incompetent is what this CVS pharmacy is. 1) 9 hours to fill one in stock script of 14 pills. They said they couldn't read the handwriting even though they have a typed hard copy. The second I put the pressure on them they figured it out. No need to lie, just be honest. You were busy or you dropped the ball. 2) They shorted me half my pills and only said sorry then hung up. I wonder how many people don't realized they were shorted. Maybe they were mad when I called them out on it the next day. Who's keeping the ones I should be receiving? Is someone stealing them? If I bring in an RX for 30 and only get 14 with ZERO explanation then what am I to believe? Sounds shady. I'm sorry but I should get a call explaining why I'm only getting half of my months supply 3) Their app for pharmacy refills really needs to be synced up in real time with their system that they see. I get notified that a RX is up for refill, so I refill it then I get a call hours later saying it's too early to refill it. 4) I've never met such uneducated and uncaring staff. You're in healthcare, show some compassion. 5) They always seem rushed and rude. If the kids you hire can't communicate vital information to patients then they shouldn't be allowed to answer phones or talk with customers They have a very antiquated system. Went to the Oakdale CVS today to pick up a prescription that was called in by a relative earlier in the day. She was told it would be ready in a few hours. When I went to get it, it wasn't ready. As I was trying to understand if they even had it in their system, the cashier kept repeating the same thing to me, and repeating it s-l-o-w-l-y. This was very disrespectful and typical of other rude behavior I've experienced at the Pharmacy. To be fair, there are some very nice people who work there, but there are also people who are rude and dismissive to customers. And, because of that behavior from many years ago, I changed and get my prescriptions filled at Walgreens. I hope to persuade my relative to change her Pharmacy. read more

This CVS isn't *horrible*, but they don't keep their shelves well-stocked. The store is also a bit messy. The staff are nice though; I've never had a problem with anyone here. I've visited the Minute Clinic a few times, and it's okay. Sometimes the wait can be extremely long depending on when you go in, but it's to be expected. The pharmacy is okay, certainly better than the Osco/Brooks/Rite-Aid that used to be down the street. read more

I feel there's something important to consider about the staff at this CVS. I've been to Wilmington, and every CVS in Boston over the last 15 years I've lived there. I can, honestly, say that the problem doesn't exist in an incompetent staff. The problem lies in the fact that it is probably one of the absolute busiest pharmacies in all of Boston and the Boston suburbs. I have never seen a pharmacist or staff member stand around or move slowly; those people are flying around all day. Maybe you could have a valid issue with whoever owns the store, but the employees and pharmacists are not the one's to blame. They work very hard, but, unfortunately, when you deal with the volume they face, it's simply impossible for ANY pharmacist, or ANY staff member to handle that level of business. I think they're doing as good of a job as possible, and if they ever seem curt with you on the phone it's because they probably have 2 or 3 people on hold waiting for them to address the needs of another set of clients. I believe most of the people with the complaints they've made, however, I'm just suggesting that their, anger, ire, and frustration may be misplaced. read more

If you are new to the minute clinic service, note that there is only one nurse and he/she is "required to take a 1/2 hr. lunch break" starting at 1 pm. So, do try and plan your visit accordingly. Note to CVS: perhaps put up a sign? I arrived at noon. There was a patient with the nurse & another waiting. FYI..the nurse spends aprx 1/2 hr per patient (paper work, insurance, etc.). I was told to wait till 1.30 as she had to step out to grab lunch, which is not my complaint. Though, I must say that I've never waited that long for a doctor but I guess it was worth the wait considering I had a cold and it was a Sunday! My only complaint is, I sensed a lot of hesitation from this particular nurse when it came to diagnosing my symptoms and prescribing meds. I don't plan to talk about how severe my symptoms were but from experience, it looked like I needed antibiotics but I was told to get an OTC drug to address my cold symptoms. I did as requested - Yes, 2 hours and $20 copay later, I was told to get a decongestant :) While the OTC drug provided temporary relief (which is what it's intended to do), my condition worsened that night and I had to go to my doctor's office this morning and no surprise, I was prescribed antibiotics & steroids (methylprednisolone tablets) because my sinus infection was pretty bad. And my PCP wondered how the nurse missed my bloody red ear canal.. of course, after another round of co-pay :) Any which way, CVS should either focus on getting proper qualified RNs for these facilities (which btw, is a great idea) or better still, get real doctors so that those poor nurses don't have to second guess themselves. She was nice to me though. I just wish her diagnosis was more accurate vs asking me which cold symptom bothered me the most. ? hmm read more

Consistently poor customer service in the pharmacy. They think you have no other choice - really??

Am rarely in Tewksbury, but since I was curious about the Home Goods Store (see review), which was in the same plaza, I headed in. I've been to tons of CVS stores within 10 miles of where I live, and hands down, this is the worst location. The shelves are bare, the place is a mess, and the setup is a little weird. The store looked really old and could certainly use a makeover. Not much else to add, except that this appears to be the only game in town re: pharmacy, so people will continue to frequent it. What was really strange is that there was a couple in their 50s seated and schmoozing in the middle of one of the aisles. I know this place has a Minute Clinic, but not sure if this couple was waiting their turn to be seen. Reminded me of when I was about 18, when my date and I were driving along the Palisades Parkway in Rockland County and saw several couples sitting in lawn chairs in the breakdown lane. Two stars for having a Minute Clinic, which is probably a good service for the locals. read more

The pharmacy's customer service manager clearly hates her job and HATES to deal with people who need prescriptions. I'm without my prescription again, she is miserable and I'm done. Because I don't want the lovely older woman on the counter to suffer I will say that I will miss her but nothing else about this pharmacy or store. read more

Have never had many problems with this cvs. However there has been a recent decline in service it seems. Went in to transfer a prescription to be filled here instead of at another cvs because the other cvs has transferred it to them before no problems. I was told since it was on auto refill I couldn't transfer it. So I called my former cvs and asked about it when they told me 3 days ago I can just transfer it. Old cvs told me Tewksbury cvs was lying and they could do it. Took it off auto refill on old cvs. Went back to Tewksbury cvs to try to get them to have it be refilled there when the time came. Told me they couldn't do it until it needed to be filled. So I had them try to refill it so I can get it transferred to there. Wasn't able to refill for another few weeks... but MAGICALLY now it could be refilled and was set up to be refilled at Tewksbury cvs. Called my friends that work at Walgreens to ask about it and they told me that they could easily transfer it from one pharmacy to another (which cvs on south shore said too) without all that hassle and without being lied to. If you're going to lie to your customers, you shouldn't be in this industry. I am switching to Walgreens due to this. So sad to go because I have had no problems with my former cvs. read more

Horrible! After going there today with the flu to pick up medicine I need to have in my system today or else it will not work, they told me they do not have any in stock. That I am absolutely fine with. What I am not fine with is the fact that I decided to fill my inhaler prescription while there because I needed it. They woman told me it would be a couple of minutes. I waited for 25 minutes and then asked when it would be ready and I was told at least another hour! Had I been having an asthma attack I would not have had another hour and I would have had to go to the hospital, luckily I was not. To make things worse I went home to call around to find a pharmacy carrying the flu medication, Walmart had it and called over and they said they had no record of me being there and they had no prescriptions for me. I called back was put on hold, then hung up on before they took me off hold. I called again they said we have them here have them call us again. Walmart called, they said they only have the inhaler not the flu medicine. I called again, they put me on hold and hung up. I called again now they have admitted to loosing it. They told me they will call the on call doctor at my office. it had been another 30 minutes still nothing. This is so beyond unacceptable, this could have been a life or death situation and they have no sense of urgency whatsoever! read more

Not the least bit happy that the pharmacist did not take the prescription I handed her. She claimed it was not a valid prescription. I was so upset as the prescription was for my dog who was experiencing seizures and the medication needed to be administered as soon as possible to prevent further attacks. She insisted it was invalid and that I would have to have the veterinarian call them. Clearly that wasn't going to happen since it was after hours. I was confident that the prescription was in fact valid as he's been my veterinarian for my pets for 20+ years. I left quite upset. My husband and I decided to go to the CVS in Lowell to find out exactly why the prescription was not valid as the Tewksbury pharmacist did not state. We were told it WAS valid and that they would fill the prescription. I was beyond upset that the other pharmacist made this error that I had the Lowell CVS call them to educate them on how to read the prescription. This type of error is not acceptable. Had a situation happened with my pet, CVS would have a law suit on their hands. I will never bring my prescriptions to this pharmacy! I am also none to happy that CVS manager did not call to inform me of the corrective action taken. I can't imagine going through this for a family member!! read more
