WORST COMPANY EVER. CVS Caremark is the greediest, most despicable company out there. They are more than willing to deny coverage for any medication that your doctor prescribes, and shunt you off to an automated system to avoid having to answer for their denials. They will give you a canned response of "ask your doctor to appeal our decision" as if they have a right to get between you and your doctor's assessment of your need for medication. I 1000% despise CVS, and Caremark especially. They need to take the word "Care" out of their name, because care has NOTHING to do with it. read more

CVS staff at Colony Crossing is top notch. The staff is quick and professional, and when I left a request to move an RX from another pharmacy to CVS, they called within 5 minutes and provided a time the rx will be ready. Couldn't be better! I've read recent complaints and all can be resolved by installing/using the CVS app: select notifications to get updates, add allergies to your profile, check prescription status and if it reads 'no refills' either request refills via the app or your provider (if you wait until you request a refill, there will be a delay). read more

CVS recent ad campaign that they anticipate customer needs and go above and beyond are an extreme joke. They don't even provide basic customer service when customers ask for help. Multiple time I have been in the store where 3 or more employees were standing around chatting with each other and ignoring customers. I have stood at the counter for over an hour without getting help during normal hours while employees stood around joking with one another. CVS has the worst customer service of any business. ​ read more

This is *not* a 24-hour pharmacy. They close the pharmacy every day from 1:30pm to 2:00pm, when some of us are able to get there, rather than stager staff to allow for people to pick up their rx. I have been unable to get my son's prescription for days. read more

This review applies primarily to the pharmacy since I do not have much experience with the rest of the store. The pharmacy provides excellent service on the filling of prescriptions. They are always absolutely correct (thank heaven!) and on time. It's amazing that they can keep up with the volume of prescriptions they fill each and every day. They are always in a good mood, despite how busy they are; Joanna and George come to mind as well as the Asian pharmacist (sorry I don't know her name!). But everyone behind the pharmacy counter deserves credit for a job well done. Filling prescriptions is a very responsible job and they all do it expertly. read more

I'm allergic to penicillin, made sure that was in my chart . . . and CVS has filled a prescription with penicillin twice. Called today about a vaccine appointment that my doctor made . . . they couldn't answer because their computer goes offline from 11 to 3:30 or 4 a.m. The Minute Clinic is a joke. Wow. Guess I should have read the reviews before trying to get some help here. Did you know they allow people to purchase up to SIX at-home Covid tests at a time? Called and spoke to LEAH. I wanted to make sure the stock was accurate on the CVS app. Me: "hello, just want to make sure you do have the Binax now Covid test kits in stock. It is saying you do online." Leah: "yes we do, but it's a different brand and it's limited stock." Me: "ok, so if I come in right now I can get one?" Leah: "no, we don't have any." Me: "but you just said you had some." Leah: "yeah we have limited stock" Me: "oooook... I can be there in 10 minutes would you mind putting one aside for me?" Leah; "no I can't do that." Me: "my grandmothers very sick I would really appreciate if you could put one aside for me." Leah; "no" So I hung up and rushed over there. Wouldn't you know it as soon as I walked in Leah looked at me with a condescending smirk on her face and when I told her I was there for the Covid home kits she says, "we just ran out." I wouldn't be surprised if she took all of them and hid them behind the counter. I then asked if she could please find out where I can get one. She says, "we're all out in the whole district." Not sure how she knows that by just looking at me and not actually making any calls or doing some research for me. This is not a joke and not something to be taking so lightly. I'm writing this to, hopefully, prevent anyone else from going through the three hours of torture that I went through with cvs. Trying to talk to an actual person on the phone took over 20 minutes. The pharmacist, or likely a tech, couldn't have been more useless and had no interest in trying to help. After passing me off to Minute Clinic, the rest of the nightmare ensued. Briefly, this was my experience: - birthdate was repeatedly not recognized - difficulty getting through the prompts to speak to a person - cut off, or hung up on, three times - spoke to seven different customer service reps - only one of them was knowledgeable and helpful - one other showed empathy, but didn't have a solution - all other reps were arrogant, rude and frankly, ignorant about their job - reps refused to connect me to a supervisor ( Do they even know what customer service means?) Friends, GO TO ANOTHER PHARMACY. Save yourself from that kind of torture. It probably shaved 5 years off of my life. read more

I like this cvs and their product. I haven't had an issue with the pharmacy either. But pretty much was forced to do self check out which I have no problem with normally. The machine was not working properly and the associate had to come continually scan his card to override the machine. I had my daughter with me who uses a wheelchair in which I'd prefer to watch over her and tend to her instead of focusing on this 10 minute ordeal. The associate herself said these machines barely work. Self check out can be faster yes but the machines do not work here and some costumers need to have a cashier register open. read more

Out of all the CVS locations in this area, this is BY FAR the best location around. It's huge inside, has two entrances (with parking out back), a complete and full beauty counter, is open 24/7 (both the pharmacy and store), and is super well merchandised. Managers here are accustomed to having customers come first, and satisfaction being at the forefront, which is greatly appreciated. The store is better than many others since it is larger and has a therefore has a wider variety in all departments. The staff here go above and beyond to help their customers. They are actually friendly about assisting their customers as well (which is NOT the case at either of the North Andover locations). Plus, the BeautyIRL is really cool for any of the ladies interested in beauty stuff. It's quite extensive for a pharmacy, and special for CVS.... only five CVS locations have it! Seasonal section is also always overflowing with great clearance prices. Summer stuff was all 75% off last week... only 50% off at a few of the other nearby stores. Very pleased and would highly suggest this location! 5 stars. read more

One I figured out that I was on Yelp, and got to the real Cvs site. It was easy to schedule, but there still is no indication when it is complete. read more

Just met TJ @ CVS Andover. He is an ABSOLUTE Wealth of information in their cosmetics/skin care area! He knew so much about all of the different product lines including which line was stronger in the base of their colors to which were or were not cruelty free. This particular CVS's skin care area makes you feel like you are in an Ulta! Definitely stop by and see TJ if you're looking for cosmetic recommendations or skin care that will work best for your skin!! read more

Fill your prescriptions elsewhere. Almost every time I show up, even if it's five hours after my medicine should be ready, it's still "in the process" of being filled. The final straw was sitting in the store, waiting, then being told they thought I wanted the medicine tomorrow. This was after dropping off the scripts at noon, to be ready for two, going to get them at eight that night. Very poor service, would recommend avoiding. read more

I've blasted CVS - Andover with previous reviews. I've been generous with a "2" star rating. Dropped in today due to my needing to return an item. I'd purchased...well should I say I had made an impulsive purchase of a lipstick. I'd had it for a week or so before I opened it only to see it has been either used or tampered with. So, being that I had time today I brought it back. Whatever happened to " cheerfully refunding your purchase?" Susan - the customer service person at the register was either in a foul mood from maybe shoveling snow? A not so great cup of coffee? ..or just plain nasty? I don't care. I was treated as if it was a HUGE imposition to do the transaction... Treated in an absolute condescending manner. I was also told that the item was frozen... Really? It's only 20 degrees at best outside and said tampered with/ opened item was in my car in it's packaging. Oh, and what is ever a problem when a customer actually has a receipt for said item? Im by no means a violant person, but with this ridiculous nonsense I felt like be hurling it across the store. I couldn't wait to get out of there! I've reviewed the store before as yelpers may know. It's just never been good.... Okay, so I've made up my mind this time....... I need to make a promise to myself that I will do whatever it takes NOT to shop at this location again! read more

Store is nice and clean. It was very easy to find what I came for which was nail glue. The store is so bright and eye catching with the new displays. However they could use more friendly staff at 7am on a Saturday. I asked a general question about "where can I check out" as there are 2 entrances in this store I was not sure if the registers were at the front, back ot both as well as in NYC and Downtown Boston there are "self check outs" The girl looked up at me from behind the photo counter and rolled her eyes and said "ehh right there at the register" myself as a retail store manager I wanted to ask her why so rude and sooooo angry in the morning??? She checked me out really quickly because she needed to go back to breaking down boxes I guess the customer who buys things from the store is not as important as restocking?? Needless to say I wont be returning to this location if I'm always getting an eye roll or an attitude . read more

I went to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy at 7:00am prior to going to work. The customer in front of me had a cart of groceries. The pharmacist should have informed the customer to check out in the front of the store where there wasn't anyone waiting in line. It wasn't a few items. The customer had 2 full brown bags of groceries. I understand why people would opt to go to Amazon prime for prescriptions. read more

We have used various CVS pharmacies over the years. We just moved to the Andover, MA area. The first time that we went to fill a couple of prescriptions at the pharmacy we were there for a couple of hours. The staff could not get our insurance input in correctly and run through our prescriptions. We eventually ended up paying cash for them because we needed them right away. We had to file the receipts with our insurance ourselves. Not only that but the staff was extremely rude even though we waited politely for such a long time. We have had to use them over the last two months. Unfortunately things have not improved. They will not help get prescriptions preapproved or help in any way. Go to a different location if you have to use CVS!! read more

Be careful if you get prescriptions at 68 Main St in Andover. I got a prescription there for Ambian but they typed on the label that it was for Anxiety. They got so many things wrong that I know go to Walgreens and they get it all right and make it a pleasure to deal with them read more

If it were possible, I would choose -1. This pharmacy used to be a good pharmacy and a friendly pharmacy. Generally speaking the associates are friendly. There is one who I encounter early in the mornings who is rude beyond compare however. The pharmacy associates are nice. However, the pharmacy itself is lacking. I had a medication which although filled correctly had instructions attached for a completely separate medication which was completely different in terms of dosage and usage, e.g. not a generic version of the same -- a different med. I called the pharmacy. The pharamacist immediately took an attitude, telling me he inspected everything that goes out and therefore I must have the correct medication, just the incorrect instructions, e.g. he couldn't be wrong. "Just the incorrect instructions"? That term speaks loudly enough. I won't talk about how condescending he was. When I returned to the pharmacy to have him check, he quite slyly slid the evidence of the mistake off the counter (I had brought in the instructions to prove a point.) and slipped it in his pocket. I saw this but I wasn't in the mood for a fight. You have to choose your battles. Fast forward a couple months. Then I had to get asthma medication. When I showed up they informed me that since their power had been down last Thursday, they received no prescriptions that day and were completely unable to have them resent, that I would have to go back to my doctor to ask that it be resent. I'm sorry but in this day and age if your corporate system can't recover from an energy outage and your business is patient care, you are in the wrong business or you need a new IT department. Next, I did get the prescription resent, but they only filled half of it. Now they are calling my phone telling me it's time to refill a prescription which is really off because I don't have any prescriptions to refill. Now I have to take time out of my day to find their real phone number and call them to find out what it is they are calling me about and if it is the prescription I have been waiting for which shouldn't be that hard since it's just a nasal spray. I am going to switch pharmacies. Run. read more

My mother was just discharged from the hospital and I went to fill her 7 prescriptions. Was told 30 min. I told them I was waiting. Half hour passes -I check in and they reassure me -her name will be called. Wait another half hour and they fill only 4. Am told to go back to drop off for the missing. What?!? read more

This store is completely horrible, despite its convenient location. The customer service, especially at the pharmacy counter was one of the worst I have ever witnessed. I had to wait at least 15 minutes to have a question answered. Despite the number of people working at the pharmacy area, not one person offered to assist me - one woman kept staring at me but would not come by to the consultation counter and rather offered to ring up another customer who had been behind me! The rudeness and insulting looks that I received was uncalled for, and unnecessary. I would rather find another pharmacy than come back to this place. read more

The costumer service at this particular location needs to improve. I have noticed that most nights some of the employees at this drugstore are apparently not happy with their current job situation ( working the night shift ) and decide to vent their frustration on the customer with less than desirable service. Tonight, though, was EXCEPTIONAL! I went to pick up a prescription minutes after 10:00 pm. As I approached the counter to ask for the prescription, a lady that was busy at the moment attending another costumer called her co-worker who was in the back of the store ( I'm assuming hating his life ) and asked him to assist me. This is when things started to get funny! This young man who is probably in his early 20's, decided that he was not taking anymore costumers for the night( I am just making an assumption here ) and proceeds to punch the monitor of the computer system that he was supposed to use to check for my prescription. I still gave him the name and info. of the person I was picking a prescription for since I was already there. He looked at me and told me that: " Your prescription is not ready tonight." I thought it was fascinating that he could tell me that since the monitor of the computer was broken, as he admitted to his co-worker seconds later, just before he requested to be fired immediately for breaking the computer. I guess I will have to look for another location that will be less convenient for me but that offers less interesting experiences. read more

I have never in my life felt so discriminated against. A shift supervisor named Nick was disgustingly unprofessional, rude, and racist. First, not one employee asked if I needed help. Second, Nick accused me of 'stealing' because I wanted to use coupons for my purchases. He said I was committing fraud because I wanted to use 2 like coupons on 2 items and the coupon read "1 coupon per purchase." He clearly doesn't understand the difference between per purchase and per transaction. I would only be using 1 coupon per purchase. Hence, I was making 2 PURCHASES and clearly I could've used 2 coupons. Then, he tried mocking me by using the term "couponer" as a hateful remark. According to him, 'people' like me make the company lose money. I explained to him that I was using the correct coupon for the correct items and the store will be reimbursed. He said that I can't pay with my extrabucks because I'll only "be getting extrabucks back for the purchases thus making them free." Yes, that is correct. I asked him what was wrong about that and he just kept going on about how I was getting so and so free. I am not getting things "free" I am still using my extrabucks that I earned. I AM NOT DOING ANYTHING ILLEGAL but according to him I am a criminal because I am savvy shopper. To top it all off, Nick and another employee were debating against who would ring me up. Nick said, "Oh I'm not. I'm not getting fired because of you." Seriously? He took one look at me & my coupons and from then on just had a closed mind. In the end, I ended up walking out and told them to put everything back. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I've never in my life seen someone as unprofessional, rude, and uneducated as Nick.
