Filling scripts now has become scary. Been on same meds for years, have good BC\BS ins. + Medicare. Went to P\U scripts to-night that was supposed to be ready yesterday, weren't. Meds usually cost under $20.00, rang up and said $ 70.00 an change. I said, WHOA,better ck. that again. He did....$19.61. He said, he didn't run thru ins. I said, isn't that supposed to be done before being presented to the customer? He says.....yeah!!,......he was the one taking care of me!!!!! How is that for SCARY, since all NEW Faces? Plus filled one script with 2 refills, now marked "no refills" Time for New Drug store!!!!!!

I'm only 54, but disabled, & they've been very patient with me & my fumbling arthritis-gnarled hands as I count out my copays; my partner is 82 & has COPD & must cart breathing equipment with him; he says that in C&J he does NOT get that automatic eye-roll of impatience that too many chain pharmacies show toward the aged. Instead, this adorable pharmacy gives off a very gentle, welcoming, understanding vibe toward our elders. People who run other stores could learn from their staff! And the store often sells charming hand-crafted goods not available elsewhere, of good quality for a small price. I've bought keychains & bracelets both as gifts & for myself. I've seen many happy Senior Citizens walk out their door. I should add that they carry mobility supplies as well, such as cane tips. Those can be hard to find. They have other medical supplies not generally found at drug stores. In short, they're a proper pharmacy. Most drug stores today seem to sell everything BUT that type of thing. I than call the insurance company and guess what the 1 dollar was always the copay for this product thieves or what . need to find out who to reach out to and report this crime at least that's what I think it is

I was however extremely impressed with the home office and their willingness to turn the situation around and make my day! A store manager personally delivered our meal to us! THIS MADE OUR DAY. I have been a long time customer of Wegmans. It has been my go to for a good meal on the go or for catering large parties. This evening I was not feeling well and after leaving the doctors, I had to pick up a prescription. I went over to the pizza area and ordered two pizzas in a specific way but when I got home, they were incorrectly cooked. When I called the store initially I spoke with the shift lead in the food area. Although he wasn't outwardly rude on the phone, he was, however, condescending and patronizing. Telling me he was " trying to help me" however the options were not fitting to the situation. He told me I could cook my own then they would be cooked properly. I told him I wasn't feeling well and I just spent over $40 on this meal to be prepared GOR MY FAMILY and I would love to be able to feed them this evening. Mike told me I would have to come back and bring the pizza with me. I don't mind exchanging the items however I was already home and my child had eaten a piece before complaining that it tasted off. I took a bite and it was nearly raw in the center. I had specifically asked for well done. I explained that If they offered delivery ( which they do he confirmed that) then I could give the delivery driver back the wrong items and get the proper replacement deliver. He stated that I would have to order and pay for it all over again. so there was nothing he could do there. I gave up after going in circles with him and reached out to the home office. I believe it was Pam ( I could have the name wrong) who said hold on! let me give the store a call and we will get it straight for you. She was so sympathetic and understanding of everything and I really am thankful for her. Bob who is a store manager was awesome and he remade our items and HAND DELIVERED them to our home. This is above and beyond anything I could have asked for and I want to thank both of them for having compassion and kindness in this rough situation today that spanned much further than an encounter with an unfriendly staff member. Thank you again for being amazing and really caring! I understand that we all have bad days however this particular employee MIke has been rude/unfriendly a few other times with me and I guess today it boiled over for me. What I am getting at is we just don't know what people are going through and I guess both he and I could learn from this. Believe the other reviews…read more This place is often unprofessional always trying to unload responsibility onto customers (as if they shouldn't be expected to be trained, responsible experts). They seem to believe that people who need life-saving meds need to be chasing after the status of their prescription as a matter of standard practice, rather than be reliable/responsible for properly informing people... Not impressed. I talked to a manager who was even more rude than the pharmacist I was calling to complain about- and she hung up on me after claiming she 'appreciated my feedback' when I complained about not getting meds, not knowing why, and needing to do a bunch of stuff because THEY were changing their delivery system, and had a bad attitude about it. I was with them for over 3 years, and they showed no concern for treating me like I was crazy for wanting them to care about their job, and maybe do it in a way that didn't deprive me of my scripts, nor cause me extra work. Their time is way too valuable to consider their customers situation. They are literally tone deaf to the reality of serving people who are injures/disabled... I used to get my meds delivered, and THAT GUY was cool, so I never realized how messed up the rest of the operation was for the most part (though walk-ins were always hit or miss- so I guess I should have known better). So I'll be switching ASAP. If you pick them, 'Good luck'- but I think it's just a matter of time before they show you how little they care about their customers. Their policies are not good- but to not even pretend to 'trick' customers with a fake smile/false professionalism (the minimum many places offer nowadays)?... well, I guess you should be happy they are up front about not really caring? Believe in that when they show it to you. On the off chance you do get someone 'nice'- know their policies are still 'basic'- so other than a smile, you'll never get more than the bare minimum. Oh- they just changed their delivery system (6/2025- for all of Syracuse- probably more), and didn't actually bother to inform anyone. So many people just suddenly got 'Final pick up' warnings if they signed up for texts (and I assume nothing if they didn't). So if you were outside of your pharmacies newly determined delivery area, you just suddenly stopped getting meds. Running your business in a way where you want change things, and 'coincidentally' happen to deprive people of their life saving meds with no notice... yeah, that's reassuring.... So many other places offer better service by just doing the actual 'basics' of making sure people are treated well and get their scripts in a timely fashion (and a few do free delivery too)- so there's little reason to go here.
