Went to pick up a moneygram and had to come up to the clerk 3 times. the first one asked me to call moneygram and I did and as the moneygram told me if it was still showing to call I should ask the moneygram agent to call them directly. well I got up to second clerk and he asked back up for a manager and I let him know what happened and I said that it was moneygram itself asked me to ask the agent to call them if the same problem persisted. he refused to make the phone call even after what I have told him. he was so grumpy and not helpful.. rude! please stop doing business if you can't handle that read more

This is the largest CVS I've ever seen. Not sure of the history of this space, but during an overnight stay in Sonoma, we made two trips to this CVS. Wide aisles and they had what we wanted. Oh, and they are open late (after 10pm at least). read more

I find it very disturbing that when I pick up my medications I have to wait in line with people sneezing and coughing as they look for over the counter remedies as this is the same aisle where the pick-up line forms. Especially this time of year! Come on CVS. Change your plan-o-gram. Put cat food or toothpaste or anything else in this aisle. read more

I'm done with this pharmacy. They are very, very slow on the phone or in person. In the last couple of days I have been left on hold for over an hour and a half!! I only need one prescription filled but I feel like it will take a life time to get it done. read more

Store wasn't very clean and I think the cashier could have been more rude if she had tried!

I just tried to get a shingles shot at this pharmacy. I was the second person in the line when I got there, but the line soon lengthened. It was an hour before I got my shot. This is not unusual for this CVS - it is understocked and service is always poor. read more

This is my local CVS so I have been here a hundred times. The customer service is almost always so friendly. There is only one lady there that doesn't seem to like her job. Everyone else is on it and says hi to you in the aisles. Stock is pretty decent. They run out of the hot sales items sometimes, but not ALL of the time like Safeway down the street! It is clean and they move people quickly through the lines which is really the goal of most folks popping into a pharmacy/drugstore. read more

Although the store is very clean, the employees could use a customer service training. A gentleman walked up to the counter and asked the cashier if the Redbox outside was working. The cashier told him she had no clue. The guy walked away still unsure how to work the redbox. Then I asked the cashier if they had any pools in stock. The cashier told me she wasn't sure and proceeded to ring me up. Never asked a manager!!!! HELLO? Yes, in definite need of a customer service training! read more

Every time I've been to this pharmacy I've found the staff to be exceptional. The place is big like a warehouse - I'm convinced they want you to get lost so you spend hours in there buying endless amounts of stuff you don't need - but in saying that the staff are courteous & friendly and always fast to help you find what want you want with a smile. It's always an enjoyable shopping experience...even if I do now have life size nutcrackers that look pretty creepy lol ! read more

This place looks worse than it did in the 90's and probably still has a lot of merchandise from then too. Everything mis marked and mislabeled, pharmacy ppl seemed friendly but cashier was terrible. This store is worse than rite aid was before they renovated. read more

This CVS is great. The pharmacy staff is kind, courteous, helpful and quick. I have never waited in a long line here. The store is nice and clean. The store has tons of other things to pick up other than pharmacy stuff- including lots of wine. 4 stars simply because CVS is always overpriced, but always convenient. read more

Trista & Veronica & all of the staff are really hard workers, & have to deal with a lot from insurances coverage issues, prescriber issues, & many other irritating issues. At the same time, people want to pick up their prescriptions when they are ready, & not incur extra expense. They are great, & go out of their way to solve these stressful issues, & once they really start to understand the customer plight will get on the phone & try to resolve the problems as best as they can. With that said, the medical system can be soooo frustrating, but certainly NOT because of CVS in Sonoma. Thank you! read more

I usually go to CVS on Geary in SF - not necessarily the "best" area in town. But, their customer service is exceptional, especially compared to the Sonoma location. I am in Sonoma for a month and needed a prescription refilled. I called it in on Sunday morning and was told it would be ready no later than Monday afternoon. I drove over on Tuesday morning just to give them a little extra time, and after waiting in line for 10 minutes I was told they actually had not filled it and would have to request it to be shipped to them directly from the manufacturer. I asked why they didn't just go ahead and order it already and nobody would give me a solid answer. They really dropped the ball. Then the lady who was helping me went to ask the pharmacist about my prescription, who then proceeded to peak out from behind the little window and began asking me very personal questions about my medication - while about 12 feet away. So he's basically yelling to me over the line of people instead of just walking a few feet over to me! Everyone behind me in line could hear his booming voice yelling to me about this very private matter. I was mortified. He then said "Well I guess we can try to order it, but you should really just try so-and-so pills because they're basically the same thing." Ok, first of all, you guess you can TRY to order it? Just freaking order it like you told me you already did days ago! Second, don't try to discuss medication with me when I have never met you and you can't even walk over to me to have a conversation at a private speaking volume. Third, don't try to pass off another medication to me just because it's convenient. HOW BIZARRE!! Fast forward to Thursday - 4.5 days after I have called in my prescription - I call to ask why my medication STILL is not ready. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone tried to tell me it was my doctor's fault and then when I called back he said no actually it was the SF CVS's fault. Finally he called me back and told me there had been a "glitch" in their computer system and they were able to get it after all! Finally!! BUT, my excitement vanished very quickly when he slipped in the fact that it actually was NOT my original medication but this new off-brand name I had never heard of before. "It's basically the same thing." UGHHHH!! 5 days to finally be told they can't carry my medication that every other CVS I have ever been to has always had it??!! So incredibly frustrated with this location and the lack of professionalism (or even kindness) - will not be returning. Update: Called the SF location and someone answered the phone immediately and told me no problem at all they will have my prescription asap. I'd rather drive 90 minutes into the city to deal with polite, competent pharmacists who are actually able to help me. read more

Trista and Dr. Dan were really, REALLY busy yesterday when I presented with an urgent need. They were professional, pleasant, and efficient. My doctor phoned in my prescription, later commenting on the thoroughness and courtesy with which the transaction was handled. I was uncomfortable and not very nice. They treated me with the utmost respect, yet without pity-patting me. And I observed others being treated in the same appropriate way. I love CVS and I go to multiple across the country. The Pharmacy at CVS in Sonoma is very slow and unfriendly. Every single time I go to pick up my prescriptions, there is a huge line. I try to go at different times hoping I will beat the rush but nope! By the time I get up to the desk, the pharmacists barely say a word to me. They need to come up with some kind of routine where they have a pharmacist work with the drop offs, and a pharmacist work with the pick ups because it is way too chaotic. I went there today and waited in line for 30 minutes. Every single person in line had something to say about it. It was ridiculous! I am very disappointed in the customer service at the CVS pharmacy. However, the cashiers in the front of the store are friendly and efficient.They need to hire additional people to work the Pharmacy. I am tired of wasting my day in that line. It's crazy. read more

Truly the worst pharmacy around. Chaotic, mixed up orders, delays, always a line for pick-up. Sunday CVS sent text to me for refill. I replied yes with pick-up Monday at 5pm. Then I called in another refill at 6am on Monday to pick up at 5pm also. At 5:30 pm one RX ready and told to come back later for other RX. I left store only to get home and receive text second RX ready. read more

This pharmacy is absolutely terrible! Don't bother calling to speak with a pharmacist, I have literally sat on hold on 4 different occasions for over 3 hours and just gave up(I work out of town and cannot go in to talk to them). They all of the pharmacy staff with the exception of 2 have terrible attitudes and treat you like your a burden unless your a personal friend (Wich if you are then they are nice). When dropping off a simple prescription they tell you an hour (a typical medication fill that would normally take 15 minutes.), and then after the hour you still haven't been called and go ask and they had forgot, wich has happened to me more times than I can count on my hands and toes! Just this last time I went in to pick up my prescription and they didn't have it in stock. I was told it would be in in 3 days and an additional 7 days (10 total) is when they finally got the medicine I needed. They are hands down terrible. read more

I went to CVS Pharmacy this afternoon, and what an appalling experience it was. When I walked in the door, there were two very long check out lines. Only two checkers. A depressing start. Anyway, I new exactly what I wanted - a hair dryer - and I knew exactly where they were because I've bought them there before. I found the right dryer but couldn't get it off the rack. The rack was locked. There was no sign informing me why this was so or what to do, nor was there any shop assistant in sight. I walked the entire length of the store and couldn't find anyone working the aisles. Eventually, I asked one of the checkers, who said he would see that someone came to help, but didn't actually do anything until I refused to budge from his side. THEN he called someone. I was told the dryers were high theft items, which is why they were locked. Why don't they just have better security? Or some kind of bell or buzzer to get help? Just something to indicate some small concern for the customer. This store is chronically understaffed, product selection is truly terrible and sold out items are slowly replaced. The staff are usually very nice but I suspect they're not treated with much consideration. Turnover seems to be quite high. Long's was an infinitely better store. Personally, I shop at CVS only when I absolutely have to. read more
