Absolutely the worst CVS I've ever been to. The level of incompetence by the pharmacy staff is astounding. They're literally all running around like chickens with their heads cut off while you wait 15+ minutes for a prescription that has supposedly been filled and is ready. If you value your time and/or sanity-- do yourself a favor and get your scripts filled anywhere else. Also, they clearly have no one on parking lot duty because there's always trash and broken bottles littered everywhere. Another sign of the times? My doc sent a simple prescription to CVS on Cerrillos THREE TIMES before they actually acknowledged receiving it. Cost me a lot of time and a lot of phone calls. First sent at 8:30 am, then at 12:15pm, then at 2:30 pm. Finally got a text from CVS that my script would be ready at 7pm. Shouldn't having a doctor's office send a new script be quicker? read more

Your friendly CVS on Cerrillos...I made a reservation for a vaccination. When I arrived at the time of my appointment, I was told that their computer was down so no vaccinations could be given. They could not explain what computers have to do with needles. As I walked out, I noted a sign saying "walk-ins welcome." A few days later, I was driving by so I walked in. I was told that they did not allow walk-ins but they would make another appointment for me. It's a 20-mile round trip from my home. Remember...this is health care at a major pharmacy. I ran out of a prescription that had expired and found out through my insurance that this CVS has a minute clinic so I made an appointment for the following day. When I arrived, there was no wait and I was seen by a nurse practitioner who was friendly and efficient. I don't think I've ever visited a medical office where I was in and out in 30 minutes. I had my vitals taken, got a flu shot and waited less than 5 minutes to receive my prescription from the pharmacy. Thanks CVS! read more

I can't give a zero but the pharmacist who said his name was Charles Barkley was rude, misogynistic and even called my Dr a moron. He wouldn't refill my prescription and I am a nurse so I have dealt with pharmacists for over 20 years as a nurse and patient. Do be rude to me because I have cancer and speaking so rudely to me is unbelievable! Then saying my Dr is a moron then hung up on me. When I tried to get my prescription he said " no I am not going to give it to you until Tuesday." This was a Friday before Memorial Day. I filed complaints with CVS 3 times and I plan on continuing to until he is fired. I have cancer and need my meds. My prescription is between my Dr and myself. There are no contraindications and " Charles Barkley " as he calls himself is an unprofessional, misogynistic, disgusting person who should not be a pharmacist . I changed to Albertsons ( they are lovely) and told my Dr how he spoke to me and calling my Dr names then hanging up on me. He is too unstable to be filling prescriptions and I will do everything I can to get him fired. He is a pharmacist not a Dr and his job is to fill prescriptions not speak to cancer patients or anyone in such a disturb way. Called several pharmacies around 7pm and this CVS was the only one that was helpful. Stephanie confirmed that they had what we needed in stock. I accidentally drove to the cvs on Cordova. The pharmacist there told me that they were closing in 5 minutes before I asked him any questions. Then I asked him to look to see if they had what we needed. He looked and said that none of the cvs stores in the area had it. He offered no further assistance. We drove to this cvs and were greeted warmly by Stephanie who also went out of her way to help us save a few dollars on the script since we didn't have insurance to cover it. Irritated at the fact that their automatic voicemail keeps on harassing me to pick up my prescription which I need so badly by the way. But I have been in this store 3x and my doctor has sent my prescription 2x but they still keep saying that I don't have anything. Ugh. The line is also ridiculous. I hate this place so bad. Signed up for PCR Covid test, showed up on time, they gave me a bag with swab and bottle of liquid, did my own test, put swab in bottle and sealed in clear bag that included personal information/data sheet, placed bag in white box outside drive-through. Was told I'd receive results in 1-2 days. 2 days and 3 hours later still no results. Will be boarding plane for European cruise that requires test. Ended up taking rapid antigen test at airport. I DO NOT recommend doing testing trough CVS as they do not honor the required timeline before travel. We took the test as early as possible given guidelines and availability. read more

This place showed promise but they are slipping badly. It takes hours to get a shot there, and days to get a prescription filled. There are a lot of people working in the pharmacy but only one actual pharmacist so they are always "backed up" as I was told. I'm going to move prescriptions to mail order when possible, and try another pharmacy company. It's not worth the hassle of waiting inordinate amounts of time for a simple prescription or shot. read more

My complaint is against the Minute Clinic. My husband and I tested positive for Covid. It was confirmed by home tests we had. We made my husband an appointment to get tested at the Minute Clinic in order to get the prescription drug for it. We went in and found the store really empty and the person (nurse?) in the Minute Clinic was playing on her phone. She sent us out to the machine outside to put his name into it which she already knew. Then she asked if he brought a list of all his medications which we didn't because we weren't told to bring it. So she asked if he took high blood pressure medication which he does. She said that made him ineligible for the drug. So I said since he can't get it, could she put me in his appointment time slot instead. She said NO because she was booked solid. Seriously???!!! There wasn't a living soul around! That was a few weeks ago. I'm writing now because I just found out that there is an alternate drug for people who can't take the first one because of high blood pressure drugs. It's called Molnupiravir. That worthless woman (Wish I knew her name because I would mention it here.) didn't even bother to mention this. Maybe CVS doesn't carry it, but she should have informed us nonetheless. read more

This is the worst CVS pharmacy I have ever been to. My husband and I have been CVS customers for 25 years but we are ready to go to another pharmacy based on bad experiences at this location. The pharmacy does not answer the phone, I had to wait while my prescriptions were being made even though they are on ready refill and I received a call that they were ready, and the drive through is not open due to staffing. Corporate CVS deserves a one-star rating. I gave this store two stars because I don't think these problems were solely the fault of that particular branch. The process of signing up for flu shots is ridiculous. My husband and I made appointments online and completed all paperwork through the website. When we arrived for our appointment we were told the flu shots had run out at the pharmacy. The minute clinic still had some, but it was about to close and we would have to come back tomorrow. It's not a short trip for us to get there and we weren't going to give the company our business after that. The website never made clear that we could get our vaccines at either the pharmacy or the minute clinic, and it did not tell us they had run out. How did such a disorganized system come to be? We wasted a great deal of time for nothing. The company needs to improve this process so that it makes sense, or they will continue to waste their customers' time and severely try their patience. When I tried multiple times to submit this complaint online, the website produced error messages. The company failed to supply vaccines as promised, and failed to have a working website to even notify them of problems. read more

I don't usually review drug stores but, when I looked up the CVS I frequently go to for its hours, the rating was low so I thought I'd put in my two cents. I find the customer service excellent in both the store and pharmacy. They always greet you and are helpful. For several years the pharmacists were rotating in and out so that was frustrating because their policies on refills of medications would change depending on the pharmacist. However, they now have had the same pharmacist for awhile and he and the pharmacy staff are very pleasant and it is running better. read more

The pharmacy is super fast when my prescription medication is in stock. The staff are down to business and several of them are very pleasant to work with. I have seen the customers that go in there, and I can't tolerate their at times irate and ridiculous behavior. I understand if the staff aren't always brimming over with sunlight. When my prescription medication isn't in stock, however, my quick trip to CVS sometimes turns into one to three days of waiting. That's the big stress I have going to CVS, worrying if they have my prescription in stock. I wish they could just predict that I would be back and have ordered it by the time my prescription is due...but my drug is not refillable and so I guess they do not plan for return like in the case of a refill. I hate that. It's really inconvenient. Other than that, they totally exceed my expectations every time! read more

I went in to get a few basics like vitamins and cereal. The cereal was on sale but they only had three boxes on the shelf and one expired 2 months ago. When I went up to the cashier, Leo, and asked for a rain check I handed him the sale tag and asked for a rain check. He filled in out without asking me how many I wanted. I noticed he wrote "one" and I asked for 2. He said that's all I can give you since the tag doesn't say 2 for whatever price. I asked since when? He says you brought up three boxes and only want 2 and I said I pulled the expired box for you and he said "do you want to cut the attitude? " I was shocked at his rudeness. I picked up my merchandise and went and found another employee to ring me up. The customer service is seriously lacking and I won't be back.
